Went in for corrective coloring after a nightmare of a year with trying new stylists at other salons. My hair was in terrible condition with banding, 3 different colors, and a large area of breakage on the side. I was scheduled with Shalena Lovering and just WOW! I've never had a better experience with a stylist! She took my hair from a disaster to absolutely fabulous! Hands down the best cut and color I've ever had! My hair has so much volume and the corrective color job was nothing short of magical - I don't know how she did it but she was able to undo all of the mess made by other stylists! Additionally - she took the time to explain each step of the way, she was careful to work within my budget, and she was super cautious not to cause any additional damage. My hairdresser,Shalena, has been doing my hair for few years. When she came back from maternity leave, she started to work at The Lab and I followed her there. The salon has an industrial/girl look, but comfortable. All the stylists are good, but to me, Shalena is the best. read more

The review says great, I say FANTASTIC. My stylist Kyleigh (I probably spelled that wrong and apologize) did an incredible job. I have gone to two hair salons in Clermont prior and although they did a good job, they did not accomplish what The Lab did for my ideas, because in fairness, haircuts are subjective and I am a customer with high expectations. I came in with a "mop" of long hair that I looked good in in the 70ties but my hair was way thicker and more Curley. As I age, my hair got thinner and it is harder to manage. The stylist understood my needs and I am a very happy customer. Wanted you guys to know that. Bravo, count on me coming back for a long time. We moved here in October 2021 and I am happy I found "my" hairdresser. read more

So I've only got my bangs trimmed here so far, but I really like it here! I prefer salons that are smaller in size. I get overwhelmed by larger salons. This one is a nice open space, but yet still pretty intimate, and it's super convenient right off of state road 50 in Clermont. Just look for the bowling alley. They recently moved locations, but don't worry, they're still right nearby the downtown Clermont area! So far I've seen two different stylists for my bangs, and they've both done a -- forgive my pun -- bang up job! Really though, I know it's just bangs, but I'm very particular about what I want, and the stylists are great about listening to what you want and ensuring you're happy with the final cut. I cannot wait to return to get my layers trimmed soon. If you're looking for a new place to get your cut or color, I'd recommend this place! Oh, and one more thing I thought was pretty great: they charge a green fee which is a couple bucks more but it goes toward the responsible waste and recycling program of all the discarded hair and products used. Pretty neat, right? So you get a fresh hair cut and/or color AND do your part to help protect the environment. Very cool. read more

Before I start I would like to say that the owner of this establishment really tried her best to fix what had happen, but a week after my appointment it just was too much not to share. Long story short I had an inexperienced stylist (which wasn't communicated) giving me highlights and here is the result. Hair is still very brassy and falling out from two bleach and toning treatments. Really had high hopes as this was my first visit, but I don't wish this $150 cut and color (keeping it mind it took 6 HOURS!!) on anyone. read more

When I first initially went I loved the cut that was given to me but after about a week I realized one side was shorter than the other (I missed it because my hair is curly and sometimes I think I'm being picky). As soon as I reached out to them about the issue they got me in ASAP. Christine noticed the uneven cut right away and took the time and precision (that unfortunately I did feel was a bit lacking the first time around) and gave my hair life and evenness and she was so sweet and understanding through it all! I definitely recommend them and though I moved to plant city I plan on going back to them specifically to Christine. Thank you ladies for being so awesome!! read more

Stephanie is fantastic! I haven't had my hair cut since we left California, and I was in need of a cut. She took care of my crazy hair and made it look gorgeous! The wash was delightful (loved the stars on the ceiling), and my hair was oh so soft with their products without feeling heavy. Stephanie was kind, funny, and did not push conversation. We talked, and then she did her styling, and then we chatted again. I've already made my next appointment with her! read more

This is my second time coming here, and I absolutely love getting my hair done by Christa. I'm sure eventually I will try out other stylists as well, because why not, they all look super talented, but the two times I've been, I've left happy! The prices are great, this time around I got some products as well that was recommended to help my hair survive the hard water I am stuck washing it in at home, and I always love the wash "under the stars" and conversation. I've never dyed my hair, so I only get a cut and blow dry, but I am looking forward to possibly getting a keratin treatment done in the future. All in all, it's a great, trendy salon. read more

Giving it 2 stars not because anyone actually did my hair in any way but for the following reasons. I saw on their website that walk ins were welcome but when I walked in it would be a week before they could fit me in. So I made an apt for the following week and when I called the day before my apt, to ask about coloring instead of cutting my hair, they put me on hold for 15 min... and then hung up on me. So when I called back I just canceled. Was not impressed with this salon. Plus the interior is small and cramped. But hey, who knows, they may do great hair. I'll just never know. read more

Love this place!! I initially booked an appt. for a cut (it was long overdue) because of all the wonderful reviews. Was a little nervous but Stephanie was great, she listened to what I was looking for and made some recommendations and off we went. I've been a client for a few months now and I wish I had known about this amazing little salon in downtown Clermont when I moved here 9+ years ago. Everyone in the salon is friendly & the community coloring table is lots of fun. It's nice to be able to laugh, relax & talk to the other ladies all while having one of the very BEST color my hair. Do NOT schedule your appointment with CIARA - you will be disappointed!!! I made my appointment a month and half in advance. When I made the appointment I mentioned in detail about how long and thick my hair was and exactly what I wanted done. Well today, I arrived for my appointment scheduled for 11am. When I arrived I was greeted by Ciara and told to take a seat. As soon as I sat down she stated "I'm not sure who scheduled your appointment, but I will not have enough time to complete your hair. I only have a two hour time slot available and your hair will take three to four hours. So we can do part of it today and reschedule the other part for a different day." She also mentioned she didn't want to do it "HALF ASS" because of her time available. How unprofessional!!! I literally have scheduled my day around this appointment. Iv had it scheduled over 45 days ago!!!! I expressed my frustration to Ciara by explaining I planned my day around this appointment and mentioned how long my hair was when I originally scheduled the appointment and at the least she could have called me to reschedule instead of waiting until I got there to tell me. Ciara then offered to do highlights today and a haircut and come back for my balayage. LOL So I can pay twice I mentioned? Which made no sense. She then walked me to the desk to reschedule. I respectfully declined. She handed me a Free Blowout and stated it was for "understanding my frustration". Needless to say, I will never return to The Lab Hair studio and my time was wasted.
