I was contacted by The LaBelle Foundation about fostering after initially being told through their online process that I wasn't a good fit. They subsequently reached out to me directly, sent me information about a couple of dogs that needed fostering, and then communication became incredibly sporadic. If you're going to ask someone to foster an animal, basic communication and closing the loop should be a priority. Instead, messages go unanswered and conversations are simply left hanging. It comes across as disorganized, unprofessional, and frankly disrespectful of people's time. I was genuinely willing to temporarily foster and help a dog in need, but this experience has given me very little confidence in how the organization is managed. If I could give zero stars I would. I feel bad for all the pups that have passed in their care because of the negligence of the owners / workers there. Workers seem to be besties with the family so that makes sense as to why it's easier for them to lie and manipulate you and there is no consequences. To start off I did not know who The Labelle Foundation was a week ago! Some lady on Nextdoor was suppose to help me foster another dog on there but instead she asks me if I want to foster her dog because her husband is coming back from vacation and he isn't happy that she got a foster dog. Of course I say yes but did not ask through what foundation and how they handled things. She just tells me to go on their IG and apply to foster, so I do that and within 4 hours a coordinator named BELLA NAVARRO tells me if I can start fostering. I let her know a lady that has Fynn will be dropping him off and she just said to let her know when I have him. Once I let her know all she said was "YAY" I got ZERO INFO on him & had to scroll on their IG to find information on him. I did ask her how many months he was and she said 8 when they had just made a post in March saying he was 3 months. You can tell how much they care. Mind you this all happened so fast and I only had him for 3 days. In those 3 days he did not want to eat and so I was CONCERNED and MENTIONED my concern. All the pup needed was some wet food! But what does Bella say "He has been eating this for months,he just being picky LOL" and THATS IT. So what do I do? I start giving him some chicken and chicken feet because they don't try and give me something else for him! BELLA ends up saying "well of course if all he eats is treats he isn't going to want food." When the reason he started eating treats was because she just LOL about him not eating instead of giving me food that he actually wants! Dogs / puppies get bored of the same food! Especially if you live in a household that has cat food and fresh food he is going to reject his nasty kibble! The audacity ISABELLA had to blame me on the reason why he isn't eating instead of solving the issue. I end up voicing my opinion and they get bothered at the fact that I posted my concerns about them online. Also his previous foster idk what connections she has with them but kept bugging me to take my post down because it was "slander" and she did not need the "stress." MAM no one cares about your stress, how are you not concerned and supporting them, you are just like them. If I was to read someone posting stuff like this ( which I did on here till after ) I will not support a foundation that cares more about profiting from the animals ( puppies especially $700 each , which legally can't go over $550..so idk how they are going around that and not getting their 501c3 license revoked ) Anyways after I voice my opinion I get a text from BELLA saying I should have told her my health concerns about the dog instead of going online about it. I DID let her know the concern and she did not care. She was straight up trying to manipulate. What does she do instead of just saying I could go pick up some food...tells me to take him to their vet so he could be evaluated. To the vet for WHAT? He is not sick, he just wants fresh food! She ends up sending one of her friends/coworker Sam to pick up the dog and tells me it's just for "Overnight" I already figured it wasn't because of the reviews I saw but I wanted to see if it was true. YUP the reviews were right. They lie to you and ghost you and NEVER give you your foster dog back & then post him ok tik tok hours later like as if they didn't just take him away from you with NO EXPLANATION. ALSO if you go on the daughters food brand tik tok FUREVER their is a whole video claiming and showing that all their rescues eat fresh food and care about their health but yet gave me 3 bags of DRY ADULT DOG FOOD for a puppy. You can see they do it all for the show and so people can donate their money to them. There are so many horror stories of them not paying the vet to help sick puppies they have in their care and they end up dying. They charge so much money for a puppy but yet refuse to pay for their services. I wish I could fully go in about how I feel about this foundation, but perhaps I will save it for an opportunity with Netflix on a documentary some day. Labelle's adoption process is very questionable. They claim they receive 100s of applications which I don't doubt, but how they choose the "right fit" who knows. Then you're told that you will be guaranteed adopting a dog from them if you attend their event only to be blown off from their very own staff when you get there. This weekend I went for their event and explained to their staff that I had applied for a dog and the foster hadn't brought the dog yet. Their process is that the dog is left in the dog pens they have and people grab them and check them out as if its like grocery market and you're purchasing produce. Once the foster brought the dog I had applied for the Labelle staff handed the dog directly to someone else in front of my face, making it unfair for everyone else who wanted to adopt and frankly meet this dog in the first place. Hypothetically, If the dog was reserved in the first place they should have disclosed this information and perhaps just not have the dog in the adopting event in the first place. They do not play fair and they need a better system in place. I felt like I was blown off from the jump and just profiled (I'd hate to pull the race card here, but lets not be oblivious to the current political climate). Such a horrible feeling and very disappointing. I would highly NOT recommend supporting this non-profit given my experience. I'd hate to see someone else go through the same experience as I did. Also a note, Labelle also works with high profiled people and influencers, so off the bat you can tell they judge you based on appearance. I do love my old Buddha dog and knew I was adopting a Senior. They said he was 8 yrs - when I read the fine print from the vet they say he is 15 - I think he is around 12-13 and I love him and will not give him up as we have bonded- even though they said 'fine just bring him back' When I tried to talk to them about getting a portion of my adoption fee back I was met with blame - you should have known, it might have been a clerical error with the vet. Hmmm seems like they should be more transparent. When I talked to the CEO she put all blame on me, and even called me nasty while she wouldn't listen to a word I said. I figured they had taken enough of my time and money so I chose to end the phone call. Again I love my boy and am happy to have him- this just isn't how a rescue should work. read more

I adopted my dog from this foundation, and they do genuinely care about placing dogs into good homes. Unfortunately, that is the only positive thing I can say. Once the adoption is finalized, communication essentially stops. Getting in touch with anyone regarding spaying/neutering or even basic follow-up questions is nearly impossible. To begin with, my dog arrived traumatized by children.....something that was never disclosed to me during the adoption process. I only learned this after speaking directly with her foster, who, notably, was the only person who checked in on my dog's wellbeing after adoption. The foster informed me that the foundation had taken my puppy to a birthday party in Beverly Hills when she was barely two months old. When the puppy was returned, she was shaking and visibly distressed. It is hard not to feel that these dogs are sometimes used for publicity rather than being protected during critical developmental stages. Second, the spay/neuter process was handled with extreme unprofessionalism. I paid a substantial adoption fee, which I was comfortable with at the time because it supposedly included comprehensive care. On 10/28/2025, I contacted their spay/neuter coordinator to schedule my dog's spay after being unable to reach the clinic they directed me to. I initially received a prompt response stating they would handle scheduling. After that -- silence. I followed up again in November. On 12/18, I was finally asked what days in January would work for me. I replied that any day would be fine, as my priority was having my dog spayed before she went into heat. Despite this, I did not hear back until 1/5, when I was informed that the appointment had been scheduled for that same week, on Thursday -- with virtually no notice. As a full-time employee, it is completely unreasonable to expect someone to take a full day off with two days' notice. This level of disregard is unacceptable and deeply frustrating. Ultimately, I scheduled my dog's spay myself through Simi Valley Non-Profit Spay and Neuter Clinic in Simi Valley -- an outstanding organization that communicates promptly, treats rescues with respect, and offers discounted services. I would strongly caution potential adopters to be prepared to advocate for themselves once the adoption is complete, because this organization does not follow through in the ways they promise. read more

I've fostered four dogs through this organization over the past couple of years. I genuinely wanted to help dogs in need and support adoptions, but after repeated disorganization, lack of support, and one particularly painful experience, I will not be working with this rescue again. From the very beginning, red flags were there: * My first dog was handed off to me on a sidewalk by another foster with no supplies and an ill-fitting harness that nearly caused the dog to run into the street. * There was no conversation about any of the dog's behavior, needs, or medical status. * We were never given food, crates, pee pads, or toys unless we specifically asked and even then, it felt like we were inconveniencing them. * The handoffs always felt rushed and careless, and communication around return or adoption was vague and last-minute. You have to repeatedly hound them for a response. Despite all that, I gave them another shot when they reached out weeks later. I fostered a puppy for five weeks through sleepless nights, house training, socialization, and everything it takes to raise a well-adjusted pup. We took initiative: provided photos, wrote the bio, kept the puppy healthy and happy. When the dog was listed for adoption, I asked directly whether he needed to stay in town. They told me "no"then proceeded to text me while I was on vacation to coordinate a handoff with the adopter, expecting the puppy to be in L.A. On the day of the exchange, my husband (who has a larger vehicle) dropped the puppy off ahead of me, and I followed shortly after to say goodbye. When I arrived just minutes later, they ignored my texts and would not open the door. No goodbye. No thank you. No acknowledgment of the five weeks of care we gave. That moment was devastating. I'm not someone who fosters looking to adopt. I already have dogs. I do this to help. But it's clear that this organization does not have the infrastructure, communication, or compassion needed to responsibly manage volunteers. They charge adopters a lot of money, but can't even provide crates or basic supplies for their fosters. They don't ask for updates. They don't care about transition plans. It's just: "take the dog, figure it out, give it back." I've worked with other rescues that are night and day different--organized, supportive, grateful. I'll be continuing to foster, but not with them. read more

After 3 weeks of fostering, learning more about the foundation, and dealing with one of the most traumatizing moments I've had to go through today, I've learned my lesson the extremely difficult way and am beyond disgusted with the labelle foundation, the labelle family, Sam Peraino, Bella Navarro, everyone who works there, and the foundation as a whole. ( an ex. being @hitlivingfoundation) I don't have the biggest platform but their behavior needs to be shared and addressed publicly. please keep reading ------ This morning I went in for a vet apt. for noodle (my foster dog) & a meeting w/ management to further discuss why I wasn't allowed to adopt him ( 3 of my close friends adopted their first time fosters ). After dealing with extremely condescending behavior and immense disrespect, they just took noodle away from me claiming I was an unfit and dangerous home because of my "attitude" and would no longer get to see him or foster him. I'm still sobbing and in shock. I did everything I could to make him learn humans were safe, that he was cared for and gave him so much love. I barely could say goodbye & wasn't able to give him his crate, food, any toys and medicine I got from a vet I went to ON MY OWN bc I told them he was coughing and they said he was fine.... there was no world where I was expecting this to happen today. I expressed multiple times all I cared about was his happiness and all I wanted was to keep him happy until he got adopted, but now this poor traumatized dog is being held at labelle, where he got kennel cough and wasn't loved nearly the way he was in my home. I went in to fostering never with the intention to adopt the dog, but we truly bonded so I decided to reach out. Their reasoning as to why I couldn't keep him in the first place was because of the "first time fosters can't adopt" policy, however 3 of my close friends were able to adopt their first time fosters so I knew there were ways around this. Every time I asked questions in regard to navigating around the policy they said my concerns were irrelevant and then proceeded to lie to my face making up fake back stories about why my other friends got to adopt their dogs their first time and how I couldn't. They also brought up the fact that sometimes people are able to because they may be close with the labelle family ??? Which has absolutely nothing to do with navigating the best household for the puppy. Anyone who speaks up about a negative experience gets blocked and all negative comments are deleted. There are still some Yelp reviews w/ other horror stories and I'd advise you to read those (unlike me who misjudged the foundation by their large following and seemingly trustworthy online presence). I would never post something like this if I didn't truly believe that this organization is not operating with the animals best interest at heart. They move in a way that's solely for profit, caring more about potential adopters social media presence, personal status, and relationship with the labelle family, instead of actually getting to know the potential adoptees to decifer the most fitting homes for the dogs. The way the took noodle from me with absolutely no warning after he blossomed from a traumatized anxiety riddled baby into the most incredible loving boy under my care AND disregarding him having any items that would bring him comfort in his new environment is just one of many examples of their lack of care. This family is also known for bullying, racism and homophobia..... What matters most is saving the dogs and I acknowledge that they do good by rescuing them from horrible situations and rehousing them. However, the intention behind this company and the way they're moving is disgusting and needs to be addressed. Please share with your friends or any animal lovers. There are so many more, heart felt caring dog foundations ran by actually kind and loving people to work with instead. I am known by all of my close friends as the biggest dog lover and animal loving person. To be accused of being "dangerous" to my 3 week long foster is complete absurdity, and then tricked into a vet appointment so they could actually take him away from me was beyond heartbreaking, and then to be treated with the disrespect Sam Peraino, Bella Navarro and Juliette Labelle treated me with was just horrible. We were excited to adopt from Labelle Foundation after losing our beloved 14 year old German Shepherd, especially when we saw they had four Doberman puppies available--a breed we had been looking for. We immediately applied, paid the $20 application fee, and followed up with a heartfelt email. Despite our enthusiasm and even receiving a recommendation from a person who used to foster there, and adopted a dog from them, we never heard back. I know as a fact we were one of the first applicants too because we applied the minute they were posted, for each Doberman. What's frustrating is that this rescue charges a $700 adoption fee, which is extremely high for a nonprofit rescue. I've raised dogs my entire life, have a large home, a big yard, and kids--by all reasonable standards, we should have been an ideal candidate. Instead, we were completely ignored. It seems like their priority is money rather than finding the best homes for these dogs. It leaves me wondering if they simply give them to whoever applies to pay first, rather than truly vetting the best fit. I wish I had checked Yelp before getting involved with Labelle, as my experience echoes so many of these reviews. My advice: STEER CLEAR of this organization. There are much better ones out there. I have fostered with another organization before and had a wonderful experience. They were communicative, provided all the necessary supplies, and made me feel fully supported. Unfortunately, my experience with Labelle has been the complete opposite. They handed me a puppy without providing any basic information--no details on her breed, age, feeding schedule, or care instructions. Not to mention - it was NOT the puppy I had reached out about/communicated with them about. Absurd! Then on top of that, they didn't supply essential items like ANY toys or a puppy gate. I can't afford to purchase dog supplies myself, and I felt completely unsupported. When I reached out to communicate my struggles--explaining that the puppy is too young for walks and I have a small apartment with no puppy gate--it took ages for them to respond. When they did, their responses were rude and unhelpful. No information, no support, no supplies, and terrible communication. This was a horrible experience for me. I was simply trying to do something kind, but it turned into a stressful, miserable ordeal. I will never support this organization again. read more

BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE, you have been warned! I've been involved in animal rescue my entire life and have personally fostered over 100 pets with numerous rescue organizations. What we encountered at LaBelle was the single worst experience I've ever had with any rescue organization. Out of the many selfless and excellent rescue organizations I've worked with over the years, LaBelle was by far and beyond the worst experience I've ever had in my decades of rescuing. From the beginning of our 3-week foster term, communication was poor and highly unprofessional. As a foster parent, we were not allowed to call the foundation with questions, only text, and responses were always delayed and most were completely ignored. Again, we are experienced fosters. When our foster puppy became sick with kennel cough after leaving the shelter, we immediately reported it. When the staff at LaBelle finally responded, we were shocked to be told they would not provide the puppy to see a vet or receive any medical care whatsoever. Even worse was the behavior of Laura LaBelle herself and her staff toward the animals we saw them handle. I witnessed staff being physically rough with a terrified puppy, dragging her by the leash with zero compassion or patience, no kindness, no reassurance, and complete intolerance. Not once during our interactions with them did we see any genuine concern or empathy shown towards any animal even when handled by Laura herself. All of it felt disturbingly transactional; the animals were treated as mere numbers, not as living beings in need of compassion and understanding. It is my firm and experienced opinion that this organization is not operating with the animals' best interests at heart. Starting with Laura LaBelle, they all seem far more concerned about money and appearances than about actual care or rescue. I strongly urge others to think twice before supporting LaBelle. read more

We became first time foster parents with Labelle, and this experience could not be any worse. When we went to Labelle to pick up our first foster dog, we weren't given any information. I did not know as first time foster parents, we are not allowed to adopt our first foster dog. We weren't given anything in writing about how the foster process works. Weeks later, we then received the info via text. I didn't even know I could go back for more dog food/treats. On Day 1, I noticed the dog was recently spayed and her lower part of the incision was open and draining. I am a nurse, and I knew it wasn't normal and immediately notified Labelle. Labelle just told us to keep an eye on it. After a few days, I noticed no improvement, and they finally let us take her in. All they did was giving us a cone. A few days later, it was still not getting better. It took us a few tries to finally get them to agree for her to see their in-house vet. Thankfully, after a course of antibiotics and daily wound care, her incision healed. We had to take her back when the time came, and it was the most bizarre experience. My partner arrived at the scheduled time, but our coordinator wasn't there. He met with the new adopter outside, and handed the dog to them. I expected Labelle to report the recent change in the dog medical history to the new foster but they didn't show up. I handed a note of the dog's likes and dislikes to my partner and he handed it to the new foster. I think that's the only information the new foster received. When we asked about potential adopters, they said they would ask us to bring the dog to meet and greets. During the 4 weeks we had her, we weren't invited to any events. Were they really helping her get adopted? We were also told anyone interested, even though they are friends/families, they have to go through Labelle to meet the dog. We were also told we are not allowed to meet potential adopters. What? The fosters know the dog's temperaments best, and we are not allowed to help in the adoption process? Do they really care about their dogs? If you are considering fostering, please go somewhere else. read more

This is the most amazing organization. The amount of animals that they save is astounding. I started in July of 2024 with my first momma dog and 6 newborn puppies. Then, I was in love with both the animals and the people who saved these animals from anything that happened to them. As anyone who knows me, my animals are part of my family and are everything to me. So having met Samantha and having her help me thru the processes of fostering and then eventually adopting later, was made into a very and smooth transition. I've gone from mommas to disabled pups back to mommas with new puppies. But during the Pasadena/palisades fires, they were working long hard hours and getting supplies and clothes for other shelters and people who didn't have homes anymore so I asked to help and got a few more temporary dogs. Even thru their 12-18 hr days, Samantha and staff always took the time to answer my calls and let me know what I needed to do if there was an issue. When I go there, I'm always helped immediately when I show up. They grab the crate from my car and carry it in. They let me know what's going on with my fosters. They always ask me if I need any supplies or anything else. One time, I needed to bring my fosters back early because I was in the hospital. They were super understanding and were going to pick them up. I let them know that my husband was available. Samantha is always there for me. Whether it's a phone call or a text, she's quick to answer or leave a message. She's been there when an animal is sick and I have to meet her. I wish more people would take the time to leave positive reviews because these people are absolutely amazing. I can't tell you how many animals that I've fostered now. It's been a lot because of the puppies. But it will never amount to how many dogs and cats and now other animals saved from the fires because of what they do over at Labelle. These people are undervalued. They are amazing. There are so many volunteers. I've been there. They are so sweet. Labelle Foundation is saving dogs!!!! read more

I've fostered several dogs over the years and eventually adopted a dog from The Labelle Foundation. Sam, Laura & Sabrina were incredible throughout both fostering and the adoption process. I learned so much and had such incredible experiences fostering all kinds of pups (from bottle babies to senior pups). When I fostered for LaBelle, I was excited to make a difference in a dog's life and figured that because of their large following, I would be supported by a reputable organization. I fostered a 10 month old puppy named Cookie and I loved that dog dearly and my family was going to adopt him. However, Cookie had severe separation anxiety and I received almost no support from the foundation for this. I was able to put my life on hold to help train him but I felt left in the dark by the organization. Approximately 2 weeks after we picked up Cookie, he began to show signs of illness. At first, it didn't seem like anything to worry about but eventually, he got worse and worse and required hospitalization. It was extremely difficult to convince the organization that he did truly need to see a vet. As I was dropping him off at the vet, there was another woman there complaining on the phone about how Labelle only caters to "influencers" and the "rich and famous of LA". That set off even more warning bells. Cookie ended up passing away in the hospital overnight. To this day, I still cry when I think about how he passed in the middle of the night, scared and alone. I pleaded with them to be able to visit him and bring him a toy or even just to get updates on his condition. I did not feel treated or respected as a foster and I would've done anything for Cookie but my experience was swept under the rug and I never even got to say goodbye. Their rate of intake is high and they seem spread thin. I understand wanting to save them all but it should not come at a cost where the fosters in your organization are left to fend for themselves and feel unsupported. I have worked for other organizations since this experience, including Pups Without Borders and the HIT Living Foundation which were infinitely better experiences. read more

The Labelle Foundation team works tirelessly to save puppies/dogs everyday. I've seen it first hand and it looks like an exhausting job with little gratitude. The time, money and love spent on better lives for these animals is enormous and it's so inspiring to see these women do something so good for the world and to be the voice for the voiceless. I'm so lucky to have found my best friend from this foundation. He was with terrible owners and he was so lucky to have been saved by such wonderful people. The Labelle foundation made sure he was in great shape and was well loved before he made his way into my home. They really do care about every animal that walks through their door. If you're looking to foster/adopt in LA, I would steer clear of Labelle! Go to Ace of Hearts, they're lovely and caring and super responsive. I fostered with Labelle last year and it was possibly the worst experience I've ever had. I've fostered a number of times before but I've never seen an organization care so little for their furry friends. I picked up my lovely foster puppy from them, and wasn't given ANY supplies. I had to pay for his food and water bowls, bed, poop bags out of pocket. When I contacted them for reimbursement, I was told that these weren't necessary purchases, and so they wouldn't cover it. Fine, whatever, it cost me $80 but I'm not going to make the poor baby sleep on blankets on the floor like they were insinuating. We took him home, and found out less than a week later that he was sick and had mental and behavioral issues that they were aware of. We had put in our foster application that we weren't equipped to handle a dog with medical needs since we didn't have the experience, but they obviously didn't care. With a lot of help and favors, we were able to get the puppy to an emergency vet. Sadly, due to these undisclosed issues, we had to find him another foster better equipped to care for him. As a rescue agency, Labelle should know better than anyone that you don't hand over dogs to people unable to give them the care they need - constant rehoming is traumatic for the dog! I don't think they care though, since they have celebrity standing. Sad to see that such a large organization cares more about its Insta feed than its fur babies. read more

Put down an application fee and they reached out asking for videos of my home and yard. After sending them detailed videos of my home they responded that my home was great for a dog and to choose the puppy I wanted for adopt. After choosing the puppy I wanted, I never heard back and they stopped responding. Going through their Instagram you can see they mainly adopt out to celebrities and influencers. read more

Wish I could give 0 stars. Labelle does not care about their rescues. They only care about getting their $700 adoption fees. I fostered for them multiple times and they could not care less where the dogs that I absolutely adored ended up. Processed adoptions for people who had never even met the dog let alone spoken to the foster who knows their temperament and needs. Extremely unprofessional business. Zero communication with their fosters and provide little to no support. All in all - they are a for profit company that relies on pushing extreme adoption fees to anyone who is willing without any background checks or due diligence. Would give negative stars if possible. I know people who have fostered for them and had the WORST experience. Also know people who are embarrassed to admit they adopted from them. They don't give proper care to their dogs and puppies. They will adopt out to you if you're a celeb or influencer with no questions asked. Save yourself the heartache and adopt from a legit rescue. read more

I adopted my baby girl from here and have nothing but amazing things to say about this foundation. My puppy was dying of parvo virus, and a shelter reached out to The Labelle Foundation to cover her medical bills of more than $1000+ when the chances of her surviving were extremely grim. Luckily The Labelle Foundation took the risk and saved her life. She could barely walk when I first got her, still recovering from the deathly disease that Parvo virus is but now she acts as if she was never sick. She is so healthy and so great. Thank you to The Labelle Foundation for saving my baby and giving my such a joy in my life. I am so lucky to have rescued through them. Since adopting from them I have also been able to attend some of their events since I live locally. These events are so great and they are such a kind team. Beware of this "rescue" made popular from their large Instagram following and celebrity connections. After inspecting their instagram you'll realize a majority of their posts are of puppies. They even had a premium $600 adoption fee for dogs under 1 year old. They cash in on essentially selling puppies. The worst part is they ignore the dogs health and leave their fosters helpless with ill puppies/dogs with situations where many have even died. We fostered to adopt a pup and even dropped everything to pick her up from a "hostile situation". We were her third home and had her for 2 weeks. Without further instruction on the adoption process- we took her in to her final exam at the pet hospital after two weeks. There was a miscommunication with Laura and us that we weren't adopting although our foster coordinator knew we were. We changed the pups name and even paid for previous medical bills. Laura raised her voice and said *that she doesn't have time for this- I handle over 300 dogs a month* then abruptly hung up the phone when we called to clarify we were adopting. I was beyond shocked of how she could speak to a foster like that. Fosters take the time and effort to help YOU run your business so YOU get your $600 adoption fee. We do it out of the goodness and love of our heart for these animals. Adopt from true rescues that know each and every dog that's in their system. I had a family emergency, I had a life threatening health issue and I thought I was not able to look after my two dogs, a Labradoodle and a Cocker Spaniel. I emailed and talked with a staff member at Labelle on June 1st, as they stated they could help me. I took my two dogs to the address of 5538 W. Pico Blvd, Los Angeles, Ca, 90019, and I asked if I could get my dogs back before they were adopted. I stated I needed them re-homed together, and that if this didn't happen, I wanted them back. Samatha stated that this would be ok. I called and texted Labelle every day to check on my dogs and asked if they were rehomed. On June 7th, I texted them and asked at 11:38am if they were doing ok and had been rehomed yet? They texted me back within minutes "No they are still in foster care". At that time our family got together, and we decided with my parents that they would look after me and my dogs in their large home and backyard. My family and myself called Labelle on June 7th as we requested that I pick up my dogs and will pay any additional fees that they have incurred. Labelle with two ladies on a speaker phone stated the dogs will not be returned as my dogs were not groomed, had no vet records or were not looked after. I stated that I have a copy of vet records as I took both dogs to the vet often and the day before Labelle took my dogs, I also have dog grooming records, teeth cleaning records, monthly pet treats and dog food records and have videos of my dogs with us in our home. I have attached a picture of my dogs on June 1st in the car driving to the Labelle location and they do not look miss treated. Do not give Labelle your pets and I have read the reviews as they sell puppies. On several occasions if my dogs have been neutered and they would not answer my questions. After me pleading and crying for my dogs, I invited Labelle to come see our beautiful home in Thousand Oaks. I sent several texts and tried to return a call, but they will not reply to any messages. We later learned by reading other reviews that these people don't care about our dogs or their future. These sell larger dogs for $500 each, and $700 for puppies, By listening to the two of them on the phone you could hear by the voice tone the insincerity by the older lady Laura, that the two of them had only deceitful money intent on their minds. God only knows what these inscrutable people do after the dogs give birth, or the ones no one wants. read more

I reached out to the lebelle foundation to help with fostering small breed dogs and puppies. I was denied because I have a small space, mind you, I fostered a full-grown huskie in my apartment. What I gathered it that they're picky and could care less about the dogs going to loving homes. If your place doesn't meet their pompous "standards," they're probably not going to "approve" you. In the application, they also ask for you to cover food, and any medical treatments the dogs need. When I submitted my application, I literally didn't get any communication, I had to reach out for a follow up. I've fostered plenty dogs in my home and never have I had to deal with this kind of miserly attitude. I wouldn't be surprised if this "company" is a front for something else or just in business to get grants etc. The dogs would not care one bit about how much space there is, as long as the foster is loving and caring with the dogs. read more

So I decided I wanted a dog in my life for the first time in 30+ years. I contacted the Labelle Foundation and immediately found myself in safe hands.... They were thoughtful and attentive, I felt they asked the right questions and more especially they understood me and what I wanted. Within 48 hrs I got a call, they'd found what they thought was the perfect dog for me, and I simply have to say they hit it out the ballpark... Thoroughly overwhelmed with the change in my life. I'm not sure all stories will turn out to be the same fairy tale, but then I decided to push my luck because after a while I realized a second dog was needed to partner with my first (I run a very high pressure business) and therefore always have fun and company in their lives... I went back to Laura. Within a week I got the call and they just told me nothing but to come and see... so I complied and she presented me with a dog that was the polar to my first baby... I was a bit anxious, especially as the newcomer snarled at my pup. Laura told me to chill and give them a couple of days together, I didn't need to, these boys were soon playing up a storm and have been inseparable ever since. I am now 2 years down the road with my boys and I often think about how great, how right, how simply awesome this organization was to deal with in every aspect. I feel like I won the lottery.... TWICE!! I can't praise this foundation enough.... I've seen and heard all about the long sleepless nights they endure as they tend to so many babies and even fly to kill shelters to save the pups. Adopting and fostering through Labelle is so easy and such a great way to help out dogs in need. I have fostered 4 bottle babies and a few other pups and adopted my sweet pup from them as well. They provide all supplies and offer 24/7 support. I fostered for the Labelle Foundation and had a horrible experience. Not only did they misrepresent the dog to me, they misrepresented it to potential adopters. When I raised the point that the description was inaccurate, they took the dog away from my care and blamed me. The wildly inaccurate ad stayed up (guess so they could collect the application fees). To this day, still wonder what happened to the pup. Nasty people who care more about rubbing elbows w influencers than caring for their dogs. read more
