Dr. Aminlari/A2 endodontics was able to get me in within one week for a "questionable" tooth that was only intermittently hurting. They were able to provide me a price range over the phone when I scheduled, and on the day of the appointment the office staff and technician were very personable, open and friendly. I waited less than 5 minutes in the waiting room, and this was only because I had arrived a bit early. I have an unfortunate anatomy/physiology such that it is difficult to get adequately numbed- it takes a lot of shots and extra time to block pain signals. Dr. Aminlari was committed to making sure I was as comfortable, and was not at all judgmental or rushed like most other dentists that I have seen. He was not concerned about the time it took; while it required some trial an error to see if the local was adequate, he was very responsive to my indications of pain and immediately stopped to administer more when needed. The actual root canal procedure was very quick (especially compared to others I have had). He was also very patient with all of my nosey curious questions about tooth anatomy, and which intrument does what, haha. It was a chunk of money for me to be sure- but an imminently fair and reasonable price, in my opinion, given the years of education, training, costs associated with running a business, employing staff, etc. Also, I have paid a lot more at other dental specialists for inexcusably poor service/outcome, so I am more than happy to pay someone who does a great job and is also kind. Who wants a root canal? Literally no one. Did it hurt a little at times? Yes, but they did everything in their power to minimize this; they were super nice and responsive and I felt safe there. They got me out the door in just over an hour. They even called the next day to check on how I was doing, which is rare these days. If you find yourself in the unfortunate situation of needing a root canal, no worries this is the place.

On June 24th, 2004 I had my appointment for a root canal and Dr. Racek reminded me about possible outcomes and also reassured me that the procedure wouldn't hurt and ya know what?!? He was right. He applied the gel that numbed the area for the needle and told me I'd feel a little poke but I felt nothing at all. The last 2 injections I felt a teeny bit but that's not even worth mentioning here. (Although as you can see, I did mention it here.) They let the anesthesia set in and soon Dr. Racek began his work. His calm and confidence rested easily on my mind, and he'd reassure me telling me things were going well. The 2 gals that assisted him showed perfection at their own jobs and they worked together supremely well. All 3 of them, really. I was told the procedure could last an hour to an hour and a half, but with the expertise and the perfectly scripted requirements of each of their positions, they were done in just over half an hour. I was in awe, dumbfounded and amazed at the end of it. Done so soon? Wow! Not to mention I was very happy, too. Back at home the anesthesia wore off after a bit and I had no pain at all. Who can recommend Dr. Racek at the Root Canal Specialty Associates in Livonia? *Raising my hand* I hollered "ME!" One more thing ... I don't think I properly thanked Dr. Racek before I left but I am very thankful for him and his abilities and this is my thank you to him right here Thank you!.

Spoke with office manager Kim Malone she advised she doesn't listen to all the calls in the office. And that she couldn't help the situation with her staff quoting me several different prices. She read the notes and saw that I called in several times confirmed the procedure. Did my due diligence. I'd advise going else where if you need to budget in a root canal. Inflation is in full effect here depending on which staff member picks up the phone. Response from the owner 21 hours ago We always appreciate feedback and strive to provide great service to every patient we see. As we discussed on the phone earlier, the nature of your appointment changed after your consultation, which also affects the payment portion you would be responsible for. The consultation focused on developing a treatment plan You were presented different treatment options and those quotes for each option were accurate. We regret any misunderstanding. I asked for two options. Finalized my choice before I left this office to the cheap option. Obviously not worth their time. The called while I was working. Didn't get to the massage til after work 5pm. They canceled my appointment. So now I am left in pain trying to find another appointment. And they won't return my consultation fee that was supposed to be applied to the root canal. I would highly recommend getting everything in writing and paying for it as soon as they give you your first total that you to agree upon. I guess I like to know what I'm paying for.

Numbing gel was applied to my daughters' gums and he tried to get her to open wide to numb her mouth with the needle. After a few tries of us trying to get her to do so, she was crying and scared, and the dentist reply was "I don't have all morning to sit here and fight with her I have more patience". My daughter apologized as if she did something wrong. I let her know that she was not wrong for being afraid and I let the dentist know it was EXTREMELY unprofessional for him to make a comment like that in front of a child and if he had something negative to say he could have took me in the hallways as the parent, as she's already an afraid child in a dentist chair that's going to be more afraid when she feels your energy is negative as if she has done something wrong. He let me know I can reschedule and I told him we would never. The nice assistant cleans my child up, we checked out and left. If the dentist is not kid friendly maybe a practice would be not to take children as a patient!
