We were excited to find out the venture we got married also served a weekend brunch. Upon arriving brought back a lot of nostalgia. Taylor even greeted us and welcomed us back! The brunch was quaint and plentiful. There weren't an overs abundant amount of choices but still some really solid spread. We had the prime rib, scallop carpaccio, lots of shrimp cocktail, chicken and beef skewers, salmon, and salmon croquettes. There was also some breakfast items I didn't get too much of as I was indulging on the other items. They had Benedict and omelet to order so definitely had a couple Benedict's. Dangerous item. My cousin chose Lakeside Gardens for the venue of her daughter's graduation party. This venue is a hidden gem! It is just gorgeous - the fountains, bridges, gazebo, natural plant life and even the swan and wildlife make this place a memorable venue. It was also a lovely summer day so that leant to the beauty of the festivities. The building venue itself is also gorgeous! They did an amazing job with the table place setting, drink station and food display. You can tell they take great care in their presentation. The staff was service oriented and happy to help anyone! The food was good too - it was a buffet service serving fettuccine alfredo, caesar salad, rolls with butter, breaded chicken, chocolate mousse and cookies. The best location ever! Beautiful venue. I think I knew it was the one the first time I visited and we looked at 3 other venues. EVERYTHING went as smooth on the wedding day. The ceremony (which is the most important to me) and everything else went the way I wanted it to so I was very happy about that. I thought it was perfect! I attended a wedding on April 12. Wedding was beautiful but there were a few things that were disappointing. The flowers were beautiful but there were mason jars on the table as the center piece but a chain was attached and looked very tacky, food was very bland and took forever. I attended a wedding as a guest. It was held outside, and I have to say out of the many weddings I have attended this was the best venue. Not only were the grounds immaculate, but I found myself walking around the whole property. The entire grounds were beautiful. I made friends with a swan during my walk about. If you want a gorgeous indoor and outdoor wedding venue that does it all flawlessly, do yourself a favor and choose Lakeside Gardens. Even though it rained, ours turned out to be the most easy, dreamy wedding a couple could ask for. From the very beginning planning stages with our organizer, Taylor, to a beautifully executed function, I truly don't know if there's another venue that would have handled our wedding better than Lakeside Gardens. When our original venue closed down in 2020 due to the pandemic, we kept our contracts with some of our original vendors. The only exception was a florist. We hadn't secured one yet so we used Lakeside Gardens' florist and she took my succulent and plum dahlia floral vision and made it all come to life while saving us a ton of money. On the day of our wedding, Taylor and her crew were adaptable with switching our outdoor ceremony to an all indoor ceremony and reception due to the rain. There was even a power outage when the bridal party arrived and, thanks to a generator, none of our guests had a clue the power was out. The DJ played on, the kitchen still cranked out amazing food and the whole service staff was on point. We never worried or wanted for anything on our big day. Taylor was right there, the whole evening, with us until the end, keeping things rolling and gently reminding us of our timeline. She seemed to be everywhere, all the time. Our guests were awestruck at how beautiful the venue was and how on top of everything the staff was throughout the night. I have nothing but the highest recommendations for the venue, Taylor and her staff. Absolutely loveee.. this venue! I first fell in love with this location when my husband threw a surprise baby shower for me ! We then celebrated our kiddos first birthday here and it was sentimental and perfect! As soon as you enter the gardens, serenity greets you. A picture perfect bridge, water fountain, the gazebos, swans , outdoor seating and a spacious indoor area, make it a perfect venue for all season. Taylor, our event co-ordinator was prompt, cordial and efficient. She made time for us even when we were late in booking the venue and only gave her 2 weeks to help us plan the birthday. Sometimes everything goes exactly the way you want. This venue was the perfect location for my mother's recent celebration of life. Planning was seamless, Taylor and Angie were incredibly helpful and supportive. The grounds are beautiful, calm and peaceful. Audio visual was set up and easy to use, all the food was delicious and plentiful. The room set up was comfortable with large open doors (wall!) to provide maximum air flow, a nice safety measure during Covid. The venue is well cared for, the grounds are incredibly beautiful and so well manicured which is what sold us. From start to finish the team at Lakeside went above and beyond to make our day absolutely perfect! They were always immediately responsive, accommodating to all our unique asks, and provided helpful suggestions if we were at a loss when making decisions. The day before, we decided to switch our ceremony to be inside rather than outside due to the historic heatwave and they didn't blink an eye. Right off the bat, lakeside gardens stood out. Within their pamphlet of helpful papers was a spreadsheet with all the information I needed! During our tour, I had goosebumps. Everything was beautiful, clean, updated. On the day of your wedding, you have access to the whole venue and are not constrained to any particular spot. Chris Cunningham, our Special Events Director, did an exceptional job in preparing us and guiding us through the events of our wedding day. Chris was the cornerstone in making our wedding day absolutely magical, just as a special life-event such as a wedding should be. As for the facilities at Lakeside Gardens, the grounds are fantastical with well groomed paths and quaint whitewashed gazebos tucked in among giant evergreens and colorful flowering plants. The small lakes on the property work perfectly to enhance the views and add a level of heavenly beauty that is perfect for a wedding. The layout of the event site was excellent. My wife and I were married at the entrance to a beautiful gazebo surrounded by the majesty of the Lakeside Gardens grounds. Following the ceremony, our guests easily made their way into the reception hall, which was only a few feet away from the ceremony. That convenience allowed for smooth flow in the events of the wedding, which Chris masterfully orchestrated. We attended a wedding last weekend at this beautiful venue. The day of wedding coordinator was super helpful and nice to work with. We spoke with the head chef (great food, by the way) who told us that a large part of the reception hall was recently added on. It's a beautiful and important addition to host larger capacity weddings. Was just married here on 7/1/2017, in which we had to do most of the planning from Los Angeles. Happy to say, Lakeside Gardens and Jenna (our wedding coordinator) helped to make this the wedding of our dreams. I got married here in 2008 after driving past this venue on my way to my aunts house for 20 consecutive years. When we got engaged and it came time to look at venues we checked dozens of places out, and this one just kept sitting in the back of my mind. I let my husband to be give this place a once over and we even met with the wedding designer. When we walked back to the car, we both looked at each other and said "This is the place". We booked the venue a year in advance, which seams pretty typical for most places. We got a great package with a buffet style dinner, outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. The whole experience was a breeze. We where appointed a wedding planner who walked us through everything step by step and reminded me to book things like photographers and DJ's along the way. We also had the opportunity to taste the food prior to setting our menu and my oh my was everything good! It's been four years and people still remember the roasted potatoes and prime rib that was served. We just had our company holiday party at Lakeside Gardens this past weekend and it was an absolute success! All anyone can talk about this Monday morning is how wonderful Lakeside was! Taylor and Angie were immensely helpful when it came to communicating by both phone and e-mails in the weeks leading up to the event. Even though our event was at night and in the chilly December weather -- the venue was perfect! It was decorated thoroughly for Christmas, the swans were right outside the window and the lights outside on the deck and bridge were great touches! We chose this venue because it was absolutely beautiful and fit our idea of an outdoor wedding. However, my groom and one of my wedding party experienced severe health issues and we had to postpone the wedding. Lakeside Gardens refused our request to postpone to the next year (the timing was important for the flowers). They stated that they would return our deposit if they booked the date with someone else. However, in reality, they have no incentive to book that date and even if they did, how would we know? So we are out $1000.00 and we will never go back to this venue so they are out the additional $2000 or $3000 we would have spent there. Also, they could not even be bothered to respond to my email requesting that they do whatever they could to re-book our date. I am very disappointed and unhappy with them. read more
