Service: my boyfriend called to schedule a reservation. Number one I have a food allergy (onions, shallots, green onion and chive). He spoke at length to them about the allergy and if substitutions were made. We had the online menu and several of the dishes we were promised were onion free, including ciopinno. Now I make this at home. I am aware there are standard white onions in the broth. He doesn't know that, he just knows I love it. He clarified twice with whoever answered the phone. When he brought me, he had assured me they said it was onion free. *In a Morgan Freeman voice* it was in fact not onion free, nor were most of the dishes on the menu. I know better than to get too invested into any menu items prior for asking if it is safe. Second, we asked for a table with a view, preferably outside. This is primarily because of the onion allergy and he wanted a view. They put us in the middle of the dining hall. We asked about the view, the seating hostess "well this is the best view." There were three tables out on the patio. We had a view of a bridal party and bros who were spilling their drinks. I after a lengthy back and forth about food items, I was instructed to order protein and sides that were safe. What I ordered: scallops cooked in a butter, lemon and white wine sauce order a pasta of the chef's choosing. What she kept ordering were plain scallops, buttered noodles and a side of vegetables. I kept correcting her that I did not want buttered noodles. I stead of listening to me, she kept asking me what type of noodles I wanted. She didn't allow the chef to choose, she wrote linguini. I tried one more time correcting her, Steph wouldn't fix it. The lack of communication is sad. The food: I wish I could talk about the food. I got tasteless butter garlic noodles, three very small tasteless scallops, a side of shaved parmesan and a side of vegetables. I paid $45 dollars to be fed a meal worthy of a picky 2 year old and not what I ordered. I cannot fault the chef. I have no doubt he hated making that dish given what was on that menu. After heavily salting, I gave up after three bites. My boyfriend was very clear with Steph. I was very clear with Steph. She would not listen. Ambiance: is beautiful. Worthy of all the IG pictures. Because they accommodated the food allergy, I chose to not give one star. But honestly they deserve a one star review. Recommendations: Teach your staff how to listen. I had one amazing restaurant that will highlight with a highlighter what I can eat and underline anything that be accommodated. Beautiful establishment with an aspirational menu. We had the Pinot Grigio with the ahi appetizer, spring salad, halibut, and pork ribeye from the specials menu. Each was prepared masterfully with textures and flavors that were new to us and pleasing to our palates. We ended with coffee and the caramel gelato which has bits of chocolate. My husband and I came in with our two toddlers and my MIL for dinner. As our reservation was at 7 pm and we were in the area earlier than our reserved time, we strolled to their tasting room to purchase a glass of wine. I can't say enough how kind the staff - both at the tasting room and restaurant - were to my family. The restaurant itself had a magical ambience, most especially because it was just right after Christmas. The perfect lighting makes or breaks it and they got it right. Driving below looking at Tsillan Cellars, I imagined the restaurant to be more spacious than what I thought it to be, rather, it was a bit more intimate which was quite nice. As it was dark, we could not see the view but I would imagine that it would have been outright stunning in the day. As for the food, we ordered the shrimp risotto, steak, and canelloni for the adults. This establishment also offers a kid's menu and although I usually have my kids eat from whatever I order, we decided they cam order a plate of their own, which was spaghetti and chicken tenders with rosemary fries. All of the dishes were of quality and of course, delicious. I wish I could get another plate of the risotto. If we ever get the chance to come back, I would certainly come back and reserve a time when there is daylight to enjoy the view of the area and water. read more

A group of four of us came here for lunch. You absolutely cannot beat the spectacular view and the restaurant has great decor and ambiance. They have tables out front outside directly facing the lake, an indoor dining room with 360 degree windows, and a beautiful, peaceful back patio with a water feature. We ordered some apps and three pizzas and the food was very good. The dolce speziato was one of the best pizzas I've ever had with the pepper relish and hot honey. We came here for my birthday dinner while on vacation to celebrate. The ambiance is absolutely gorgeous. The view is so pretty and the lights inside the restaurant add to the beauty. We ordered the Hot Honey Baked Feta as an appetizer and it was so delicious! The honey, garlic, scallions, olive oil, and feta all blend together beautifully to make a super tasty bite. I ordered the Linguine il Pescatore for dinner and there is so much seafood in it! Lots of crab, scallops, and prawns. All of it was amazing and the sauce was very tasty as well. My husband ordered the NY Steak and it was also amazing. Cooked very well and the compound butter topping added so much to the flavor of the steak. I also ordered a glass of Riesling which I did not love but I prefer sweet wines and to me it was a bit on the drier side for a Riesling. My kids ordered a pepperoni pizza, the chicken tenders and fries, and an order of pasta with Alfredo sauce and chicken. Serving sizes were decent. My son said the chicken tenders were not very crispy but that was the only complaint I heard from them. Our server was not super attentive to us and we were sitting and waiting on him pretty frequently throughout our dinner which was disappointing, but the staff that circled the room to refill drinks and pick up empty dishes were VERY attentive and very kind. We made reservations during the Jazz Fest weekend and requested a table to watch the performer. The restaurant. Gave us an amazing seat right at the edge of the restaurant and patio area with a perfect view. The service was impeccable, friendly, prompt and accurate. The food was delicious and a bottle of wine, well you really can{t go wrong with any of their options at Tsillan Cellars. My wife and five kids (ages 13-18) had dinner yesterday. The service was overall great and for those of you with kids you know that sometimes they don't treat kids like "real people." This is definitely not the case here. The staff was courteous and fast. But the real star of the evening was the food! I had the pork ribeye special, and it was excellent. The pork was cooked perfectly. My wife got the Caesar salad and the tomato soup with crab. Both were outstanding. Our party also had the ravioli, sausage and peppers and beef filet. My son said the beef filet was one of the best he ever had and he is a serious meat eater! Everyone enjoyed their meals. We also got the truffle fries and baked feta appetizers. We liked them both and the standout was the baked feta. Desserts were very good as well. My son got the flourless chocolate cake which he enjoyed. I had butterscotch bunido. I love butterscotch so I was excited to see a butterscotch item on the menu. It was stupendous. The only small criticism is that the potato side dish on the filet and the pork ribeye was overcooked to the point of almost being burnt. But overall it was a fantastic night of dining. First and likely most importantly; the view is probably the best of any restaurant in Chelan. The open air, Italian-inspired place looks over the lake and surrounding hills and is positively lovely. The restaurant is nicely laid out - an indoor/outdoor space with ways to block off various windy parts and a big fire place. The place seems relatively old-school "nice" but there were certain things that were odd - the opera karaoke singer's bag and coffee were stowed in the main part of the restaurant right on the nice fireplace, for example. And oh, there was an opera karaoke singer, who was super charming and talented, however it created a really loud space for my older parents and we couldn't hear very well. The food was pretty good. I got the rockfish crab special and felt the dish was a big uneven - the crab was great and generous - the rice and rockfish could have been seasoned a bit more. My parents and wife were happy with their meals - and the desserts were amazing - order the butterscotch dessert - both light, smooth and rich all at once! Service was efficient and friendly . They forgot our bread service but quickly fixed that once we mentioned something. I think they could tell we were up for a faster dining experience and made it happen which I appreciated. read more

What a beautiful location for brunch. Our friend booked us reservations here and we couldn't decide what we liked more-- the gorgeous view and grounds, the oh so satisfying mimosa pitcher, the exquisite food, or the attached tasting room! It was all divine. Our server was friendly and helpful and food came out well prepared and in excellent time. As it was brunch several of us ordered breakfast and a few went for lunch. They had no difficulty accommodating the gluten free people at the table either. Everything we had was delicious and it was hands down my favorite spot on our trip to Chelan. This restaurant sits on a nice higher elevation so you get some really nice views of the lake. Came with my family for lunch and had a wonderful time. Started with bread/balsamic dip and rosemary fries. The fries were perfectly done. Main course was mushroom ravioli and veggie pesto pizza (loaded with artichokes, sundried tomatoes etc). I loved that the ravioli wasnt loaded with cheese sauce. It was on the drier side but very flavorful. Washed everything down nicely with a glass of white. Service was the best. I had really high hopes for Sorrento's! Sadly I feel I was let down. The wait for our reserved table was longer than anticipated, but we were seated eventually. The balsamic dipping sauce that came with our complimentary table bread was delicious. The feta and olive appetizer was pretty tasty, but no wow factor. My partner asked for a san pellegrino with no ice and I watched the staff pour a glass of soda water. The sparkling water arrived at room temperature. The filet mignon which I asked for to be served at medium was beyond lackluster. The filet was served medium well at best. Definitely overcooked. The best part of the entree was the vegetables. The potatoes themselves were clumpy, room temp and honestly some what flavorless. I feel like my potato farmer Grandfather would have been embarrassed if his potatoes were turned into this side. The butterscotch budino was TO DIE FOR. Holy moly was it good. I'd return only for the dessert at this point. However we are going for brunch so I will add to this once we have that experience. The other issue I had with this joint at dinner was our server, everything felt extremely rushed. This place is absolutely amazing! The views, the wine, the food, and the atmosphere were perfect for our five families of four. We all made reservations of our own because there was no availability for a large group, but the staff was able to seat us all in the same area. The restaurant looks over Lake Chelan and is surrounded by the vineyards. There is a koi pond which runs through a beautiful garden, which the kids really enjoyed. The food was really good! We had bread with balsamic sauce, calamari, pesto prawn linguine, ahi tuna salad, spaghetti and meatballs, and rosemary fries. All were very delicious! Side note, if you are looking for big portions, you will be disappointed. I would call the portions of food "healthy eating portions." The wines were all fantastic! My favorite was the Barbera! After eating, we had reservations for wine tasting in the tasting room. The server was quick to make sure we knew she was annoyed by our large group of 8 adults and 8 kids. She was quite rude and rolled her eyes several times. She tried to move us outside, but we wanted to enjoy the air condition for this part of our visit. I would understand if they were busy, but at this time it was not busy at all and there were many empty tables. Our kids sat quietly at the table next to us coloring and we ordered them all adult sized desserts for being good while us parents enjoyed the rounds of wine. We did not let her ruin our experience, and still give this place 5 stars because she was the only one acting this way. Fantastic food. Stunning views. Beautiful grounds. And amazing service. We came here for our final night of our vacation. Wanting to save the best for last. Highly recommend making a reservation. When we arrived there was a sign that said "fully booked - no walk-ins" We had a glass of wine on the outdoor veranda while we waited for our table. Sitting by the waterfall leading into a koi pond was so peaceful and everything is so beautifully kept. Once we were sat we could see the lake and vineyard. Our dinner was at sunset and the views were remarkable. For wine I had the rosé which was very summery and not too sweet. We had the leafy green salad which had almonds, strawberries and goat cheese with balsamic dressing. So fresh and tasty. I had the filet which was the best filet I've ever had. The rosemary potatoes were crispy and very well done. My wife had the chicken parm which was perfectly breaded and tasty as well. We finished with the Carmel gelato and oh my was it delicious. So creamy and perfectly done. Our server (Kari?) was so attentive more so than I to her name. She served us 6/14 at 7:15. Two French braids. She was amazing. tsillian cellars may have won best washington wine cellar in 2020, but this very day in 2024, they won the key to my heart. "and this is no easy task!"...my cruel and hardhearted bride of 36 years would tell you, sipping her Chateau St Michelle in her odd and ironic mason jar. The first thing I noticed was the twisted sliver of lemon upon my pasta. It felt like a physical metaphor for both my twisted expectations of italian cuisine, and twisted love for red vines! Hahahahaha. The scallops in my linguine were shockingly good, easily the best scallops I've ever had. The same goes for their massive prawns, all of which were piping hot and yet tender. The takeaway of the evening was as the old adage follows: A dead piranha doesn't eat much. every undertone in every dish was accented to perfection, and the main thesis statements of every dish were subtle. TLDR; Food quality has dropped off a 100 foot cliff, but ambience and service is still good. We came here 4 years ago after a tasting at Tsillan and we were so thrilled to come back for my wife's birthday. We ordered the seafood linguine, the steak salad, and the risotto, all of which were incredibly underwhelming regardless of the price. Seafood linguine: pasta felt overcooked, and the sauce just felt like heavy cream tossed with random seafood just to live up to the title. Steak salad: sure, steak salad's can be cold, though it was never mentioned in the description. I would at least expect the cold steak to have a crust of some sort, not just appear like it's been boiled, and then refrigerated. The veggies were good though. Risotto: heavily undercooked and I was eating hard crunch rice at some point. I've made the mistake before when I cook it myself, but I'd expect a $32+ dish at a nice restaurant to nail the doneness. Was rather disappointing. Dessert: I'm glad they gave dessert for my wife's birthday. We got two cannolis and were satisfied with that! Will likely be our last visit ;(. Everything from the beautiful room, fireplace, being quickly and kindly sat, to recommendations from the server, to the supportive wait staff, the wines and the meals were absolutely five star all the way! But what made this evening so over the top incredible was Roberto, an opera singer who also sang with another visiting female opera singer who sang throughout the dining room during our meal. If that wasn't good enough (and it certainly was), Roberto sang happy birthday to my mother and then serenaded her while dancing with her for her 75th birthday. My sister and I were in tears the entire time. It was so very special and a memory that will be with us all forever! Thank you to everyone at Sorrento's for making our evening so unforgettable! We arrived early and due to the popularity of this venue we had to wait until after our actual reservation. We did a tasting at Tsillian while waiting on our table. The restaurant itself has the high-end feel and the view of the lake is stunning. Unfortunately I can only give 4 stars. I felt rushed through the dinner experience by the server and the fact that the San Pellegrino I ordered was like warm plain soda water disappointing. I ordered the rack of lamb and it was cooked perfectly. The only criticism I have is the mustard pistachio sauce on the lamb. Flavor wise the mustard just overpowers the dish and my partner detested it. The flourless chocolate cake was very dense but really good and the butter scotch budino was just outstanding. read more

She recommended if I was hungry I should order an additional plate or salad as their are only 3 scallops in my dish. So I did, got the calamari!! Super yumm dip but unfortunately too spicy for me and my heartburn. The mister ordered the omelet with a side of bacon! We both enjoyed our meals and the entire staff....from the hostess who sat us to the water boy...were on top of it!!! Such a great dining experience as some establishments service has gone down due to the pandemic and having to reduce staff!! The restaurant is part of Tsillan Cellars and sits atop a vineyard with a view of the lake. Since we were such a large group, we split up into 2 tables next to each other. For food, we ordered the shrimp appetizer, rosemary fries, linguine bolognese, and the pork chop. My favorite dish was the shrimp, which was cooked perfectly. The bolognese and pork chop were good but lacked some seasoning in my opinion. It seemed like both were missing something that would've made them better than average. Overall, we had a great time, enjoyed a few bottles of wine, and left satisfied and happy. read more
