I'm hanging three stars here - small local establishment that does most their business off of locals. We haven't been in a couple years. I will say my husband appreciated his burger. Fries were sub par. I had the pesto Mac and cheese (minus chicken) that came with chicken. I do not recommend this with chicken or without. It was 1 star. We have been passing this place for a few years now on our way to or from Chelan and we decided to stop in. We were greeted right away and placed our drink orders. They were pretty busy on the family side and our waitress said she had never worked the breakfast shift before. She took our breakfast order and was a little slow with bringing drink refills but she was busy. When our food came out everything seemed like it was made from scratch and everything tasted wonderful. We will be hitting this hole in the wall place again soon. Expect to be there for at least an hour which is a pretty normal amount of time for a sit down meal. read more

I am so f**king annoyed with this place! I live locally so I've dealt with a couple things already but what made me write this. I ordered my pizza on the phone ToGo and when I got here (25mins later when they said it would be ready) it still wasn't done! The cook just put it in the oven!! Just as a note, they have changed ownership and the pub is now called "97A" no longer the pub and grub, and the sign is missing from the highway, so it's easy to drive by, giving it five stars because the people that work there and the service were so outstanding and friendly, the food was average, reasonable beer selection. If you are looking for a bar and grill with good service, spirits and food, this is not the place. I live in Entiat and have been a patron of this establishment for 10 years, through good and bad times. It is currently going through bad times. Before these bad times (six to eight months ago) you would have your drinks and your food order taken within 5 minutes after entering the Pub. Now the current employees seem to care more about socializing than providing good customer service. You can expect to wait 5-10 minutes before someone acknowledges that you are there. And if want to order food, you will have to wait longer for someone to take your order. Speaking of food orders, the last four times, yes four times in a row, they got my meal order wrong. Maybe they need to use a pencil and paper and write down a person's order, and double check the order before bringing it out to the table. Also, bring your own napkins, they are not included with meals. They still have no cooling system other than leaving the doors open. So, you spend your time there sweating and swatting at flies. I won't bother mentioning the dogs roaming around the establishment since that was mentioned in another review. The Pub is never that busy, so you can't blame the bad service on that. I started writing this the above review about 5 weeks ago and got busy and never posted it, however, last night I thought I would give the Pub 97 another chance. That was a bad decision. My wife ordered a pizza for pick-up because we did not want to spend our time there swatting flies and sweating. When the Wife arrived home, we opened the box, and you could tell there was something wrong at first glance. It looked like someone cut the pizza with a machete. There was nothing uniformed about the slices, it looked like the pizza was hacked up with a machete. Then trying to get a slice on the plate was a chore. None of the pieces were cut free from the others, so trying to figure out is this piece a triangular or square shape to finish cutting the pizza free from other pieces frustrating. When I finally I got a couple of pieces cut free and, on a plate, I noticed that the dough was raw in the center of the pizza. At this time, we threw the $31 pizza in the trash and drove in to Wenatchee for dinner. We both agreed that the only way we would return to the Pub is when there is a new owner who cares about providing its customers with good service and food. The current owner does not. read more

The two stars is because 1) it's a restaurant in Entiat and 2) they allow dogs inside. The food, however, is borderline laughable. It's so bad. For example: they have these mini corn dogs for like $15 that you can purchase down the road at the food center out of the freezer section for way cheaper. The burgers are just okay. The nachos don't come with beans . The wings are chicken nuggets. I could go on and on. The service has historically been extremely slow and forget about getting a to-go order. They try to get you off the phone as quickly as possible without one word of etiquette. The only employee here that has ever gone out of his way to be friendly is Chris. Honestly... as crazy as it sounds, the Shell station a block away sells better quality and better tasting food. read more

If you're in Entiat, this is the only place to go - literally. Walking in, I was a bit nervous. It's a small town. You never know what you're going to get. Entiat Pub 'n Grub is a total home run - everything is fresh and cooked to order. I was won over when I saw the nachos (think the largest nachos you've ever seen) and the cook smashing fresh beef patties for the burgers. This is homestyle cooking that you can only dream about. If you're lucky, you might meet the owner's dogs - the sweetest dogs on the planet and the mascots of Entiat. read more

Buttermilk soaked and hand breaded. Chicken strips and BBQ wings were great and beer was cold. The pub was cold and dark and loud- even though only and additional 3 adults and 2 adolescents were there. Stopped because we needed food but will skip and eat from gas station next time. read more

Really great food here, I came in on a Thursday and there daily special was steak night and wow what a good steak cooked just the way I like it, came with a baked potato and a salad, I was close to where the cook was making my steak on the grill and someone had ordered a hamburger and if you know me I love real meat hamburgers and he had hand pressed a patty and put it on the grill, I can't wait to come back and have one of their burgers (maybe they should make Monday's burger night) It's a nice little place in a very small town all wood decor has a full bar very friendly locals, has a pool table, pull tabs a few TVs, it's not very big but in my opinion it don't need to be, so I gave 5 stars cause I can't wait to come back read more

You would never know this place is here. There is no sign, but the lights on the building beckoned us. What a great surprise! We drive on the other side of the river all the time. A pleasant surprise in a small town! We love to camp up the Entiat River and never expected to find a good restaurant in that little town.... and even bigger surprise - it has nearly the same menu as one of our other favorites in Wenatchee! I get a special order turkey grilled sandwich with horseradish and it is oh so good! The Mr had the BAT which he loves. The atmosphere is exactly what you would expect from a small town bar... a little divey but in a great way! The service was excellent and the bloody mary was pretty good too. Perfect place for breakfast on our way home from a few days in Chelan. It's your basic sports bar/cafe. Our breakfasts were yummy & very reasonably priced. It was fun hanging around to watch the game. Will definitely stop again. read more

We stopped by on this place on the way home from Lake Chelan and I'm sooo glad we did. It's one of those hidden gems that has amazing food. The fried chicken sandwich was recommended and was delicious. They marinate the chicken in buttermilk and the coating was crunchy and perfect. The best chicken sandwich ever! Been here twice this summer. Service is horrible! Waited have hour just for a Pepsi yesterday, then another 15 to get it so 45 minutes just to put in a order! People came in after us and had there food before us. Same problem both times will not be back. Went in New Years Eve to have dinner and drinks with another couple. They only had 1 cook and 1 waitress working and it took 30 minutes just to get drinks ordered. What's worse is that after waiting a loooong time for our food to arrive, they called last call just after setting down our food at 7:45 pm! WTF, closing at 8 pm on New Years Eve??? When they first took over they staffed the place so you got good service. Not anymore. The owners seem to concentrate their time and money on their other bar and the Entiat one is an after thought. I've tried to support them since they opened but they keep letting me down. I'm done. It's the only bar in Entiat and can be a real money maker if run properly. Terrible service , great pizza as usual, chicken strips we're good but messy and crumbly just by picking them up. There were two ladies working one guy at the bar, a couple at a table and 3 of us we had our grandaughter with us so we had to sit in the family area , I think they kept forgetting about us... So not busy at all but we had to go up and order our food , had to go up and order our second beer a had to go ask for limes for our beer cuz bartender forgot and had to go ask for the boxes and our bill. We usually sit at the bar and service is good but not overly friendly. Sevice and greeting customers when they walk in and are standing there need serious work! read more

This is an awful dump. They were rude when we walked in for lunch, then ignored. We grabbed our own menus off the bar, and were still ignored. The place was not busy. There is a sign that instructs customers to go flag the bartender if someone hadn't come to the table in minutes. I went to the bar to flag someone and put in an order. The woman was rude again and wouldn't take the order and said she would come to our table. We walked out. Hold out until Chelan or Leavenworth if you want to eat unless you are into disgusting dive bars where the service is nonexistent. read more

Had breakfast with my wife. The menu was sort of unoriginal, no omelets for example. The order came out wrong, basically brought my wife's order twice instead of one being what I had ordered. My wife had finished eating and dishes were taken away by the time my order was redone correctly. No apology or other consideration was offered. That being said, the food was good once the orders were sorted out. It really comes down to training and supervision of the waitstaff. The place could be much better with a little bit of management oversight. read more

The service was so poor we never got the chance to try the food. Ordered our meal at the start of the 5th inning of the playoffs and still had no food or water when the game was over. Asked the server 3 times for water and each time he said gruffly "I'm getting it". When asked how much longer for our Pizza he said "you can see we are busy", when I pointed out that everyone in the place had been seated after us and most had gotten food already or finished eating he stated that the kitchen had dropped our pizza on the floor and was re-doing it. When it still did not come out and we still had not even got water we left. On our way out he showed us the order ticket and said "look, I put it in at 7:52 and it is only 8:30, you have not waited that long". Obviously the problem was that he did not put our order in when we placed it (5 innings of baseball definitely takes longer than 38 minutes). Through all of this, no apology or effort to make anything right, just excuses. On a good note, a young lady was helping what seemed to be ¾ of the tables and was doing a great job from what we could see. The food that came out for others looked good but we have no way of rating that. Disappointing as we are locals that had out-of-town family visiting. read more
