So what do you do when your mom says she wants to go out to eat on thanksgiving a few days before the holiday? You scramble! Luckily my husband found that this restaurant was still taking reservations. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. Turkey specials were ordered by most of us, so it won't be available if you go next week. But if our dishes where any indication of how the rest of the menu will be than you will enjoy your meal. Turkey was tender, mashed potatoes creamy, stuffing delicious and the pumpkin pie sent me to heaven! So the tradition of stuffed on thanksgiving remains! Portions are huge, we took most of it home. I will wait an hour or two before I pick at it again! Lots of parking, great service. Full service bar and nice wine menu. Inside the River Valley Casino. Steaks, pasta and pizzas on the regular menu. Prices a little bit higher than you might expect.

Crab legs with something extra attached, not very appetizing.

Food was good overall. Questionable customer service. Bad policies for an all you can eat crab leg special. If you make reservations for their crab leg special, make sure that you get an early time slot or you may be disappointed that you didn't quite get all you could eat. Reservations are made up through 9 PM but you still have to get your initial order and are only allowed to reorder until 10 when the kitchen closes. If there is to be an all you can eat crab leg special, you should be given time to eat said crab legs. Not only be given an hour which includes the 20 minutes to get your initial order out to you. They were more accommodating towards the end with bringing extra clusters but they did cool off before they could be eaten and they were soggy so they didn't really crack well and didn't taste very good. There were also things attached to the bottom of the crab body part of the shell maybe barnacles or something that could have been picked off; picture attached. Regarding the service; waitress was awesome in the beginning. When asked about reorders after the first order came out, was told that the kitchen would be closing soon so she was not sure how many orders we could get in. At that point I asked to speak to a manager to which I was told that they wouldn't really do anything. I did not press the issue. After that the server brought the check before we were finished eating and said that it would be nice to go ahead and take it up since the cashier likes to get out on time. This is while we are eating crab legs and our hands are full of juices. Not good customer service and not very respectful. After that, the server came by again sweeping the floor and saying that they have other duties so it's okay if we are there after closing which is fine but it was said very passive aggressively. This is a casino restaurant where the experience should be over the top and extremely positive; especially for a diamond Caesar's Rewards member. It was not made positive and was my first and most likely my last experience at The Landing Cafe.

I had the black and blue burger with sweet potato fries (pictured). Let's divide this review into the good, the bad, and the ugly. The good. Great sweet potato fries. Good service. Incredibly convenient if you are staying at the casino and only sit down restaurant here. The bad. Industrial dry hamburger. No lettuce or tomatoes on the side. Asked server and she quickly brought sliced tomatoes. Can understand the no lettuce with current ecoli scare. The ugly. Incredibly harsh lighting. Bland interior and undecorated walls. Reminded me of a prison (NO I was not in one, but looked like a movie prison). Summary: Mediocre Applebee's with great service. A solid 3.

Arriving to the casino this visit I forgot about the new addition/renovation. It was great to see a new space complete and even more fun to see a sit-down restaurant at Harrah's River Valley. I reviewed the menu online prior to arrival and decided to walk down from my hotel room to try the new restaurant described as a cafe. I don't believe the room had a menu present, but that might be a good way to promote this new eatery. Harrah's really missed the mark on the architecture & design of this cafe. Although the menu boasts aged steak and entrees exceeding the $30.00 mark, this is nothing more than a cafeteria. It is overwhelmingly bright with harsh LED lighting. There is not one piece of art on the wall. Televisions will soon be installed as I see the plug on the walls ready for installation. Elevator music gently plays. The bar overlooks the chef's kitchen. It feels like a hospital cafeteria. Actually, it feels like a banquet hall. From the glassware to cloth napkins, bread service + condiments in plastic containers with lids. The hostess (Alex) was very friendly and sat me at a booth per my request. She even delivered my drink. The menu offers an assortment of items for everyone's taste. I ordered the Landing Burger and replaced the beef patty with chicken. It was delicious! Fries were served piping hot and the staff was friendly. I detail the interior at length because I don't think this would be a destination to celebrate a milestone or host a birthday party.

Outstanding service from the host Jordan and FIVE-STAR service from our waitress Hannah! It was our first time eating here and had the pleasure of using our $100 Diamond Celebration Dinner. We made our reservation with Jordan and he was professional and helpful even when we needed to make changes. Hannah provided the best restaurant experience I've had in a long time. She was friendly, efficient, and filled every request we had! The food, while perhaps a bit overpriced, was delicious and the portions were generous. We had the Shrimp Scampi, Chicken Parm, and Salmon. Our table was tucked away and more than 10 feet from the closes table. EVERYONE had masks and we were asked to sanitize our hands before entering. Thank you Jordan and Hannah for making our night out an amazing experience. We will be back!

While picky eaters might have a tough time at Sage, foodies and food lovers will appreciate the menu. Service: the waitstaff is young, but attentive and knowledgeable. We spent the long weekend in a quaint air B & B just outside of town and experienced everything we could from a train ride to a dive bar to a burger joint in a double wide. Sage was a definite highlight of the celebration. The food was superb. The pork belly appetizer that we shared was unique and delicious. I had the sea bass and my wife had the beef (fork tender). Both had subtle flavors with excellent textures. We both had a dessert. I opted for the chocolate and my wife had the crème brûlée. Both excellent. Highly recommend you find this jewel.

My partner ordered the buffet and I ordered the special which was fish & chips. When my food arrived, it honestly looked delicious but my first bite was undercooked fish & batter. Maybe she is struggling with something we don't know about. Our server was Brock-a very pleasant and handsome young man. He got our order and promptly brought out some absolutely freaking delicious biscuits with apple butter. Honestly, I'm usually critical of restaurant biscuits but these were fantastic. And I wanted to lick the apple butter container but thought it imprudent to do so in public. I got the hand cut steak tips with mushroom gravy, mashed potatoes, and fried okra. Spouse got hamburger steak with peppers and onions, mashed potatoes, and steamed broccoli. While we waited I looked around at the decor, which is definitely patriotic and religious. I loved the bird feeders on the windows! There's no picture of the biscuits and apple butter because we ate them like savages as soon as they were out on the table. I can't say enough about how delicious my steak tips were. They were perfectly cooked, tender, and altogether scrumptious! I'm a gravy snob too, so my standards are impossibly high. I mean I couldn't make it any better myself. So good. Everything else was delicious, and this review is too long so I'll stop here. Definitely a great place to eat when in Murphy!

When we walked in, we waited to be seated, we were standing close to the cash register and kitchen area. As we waited we listed to one of the staff complaining that wasn't a great sign. As we were being seated, we noticed all the cute decor! Someone took a lot of time to make the place look so cute! The waitress was super attentive! Hubby ordered the special, a Meatball sandwich and I ordered a salad with fried chicken tenders... I had to cheat a little bit. That Fried Chicken was calling my name! The food came out after a little bit of a wait. I completely understand because the chicken was fresh. But my poor hubby got a mess of a sandwich. It appears they made the sandwich and it sat while the chicken cooked. It was a soppy soggy mess. The bread was drenched and completely mush. He said the French Fries weren't much better. I asked him if he could eat just the meatballs and he picked up them each up with a fork and each and everyone of them were completely black on one side. Totally burned. Boy I felt bad because my chicken was delicious! This is the reason I added two stars. We went to pay, my husband leaving his hot mess in his plate. The owner was at the cash register, I found this out because she answered the phone while checking us out (stating her name was Julie). She was in such a mood, she was rude to the person on the phone placing an orderIn fact she was even rude to us, she scared the bjesus out of me....so we didn't say a word. I sure didn't want to complain and start an altercation . Hubby will never go back. He was not happy at all. I might go back, maybe with a friend and hope next time is better ‍ Possibly everyone was having a bad day? It was not crowded when we dined, as it was around 2:30pm. We thought this would be an asset, but we were wrong. Here is hoping it was an off day for them. Dine at your own risk my friends. Stay away from soggy sandwiches! Go for the fried chicken
