We don't know what happened! Does anyone know? We loved Yogi's when it first opened. It went through quite a few changes, no problem we truly understand when a business needs to adapt. We tried it again today and - disaster. Ordered cheddar cheese curd appetizer, received a mozzarella cheese one instead. No flavor. No plates were offered, so we had to ask for those. Eating off of a napkin was odd (needless to say). Chicken tenders were super tough - very overcooked. French fries weren't good either. Our server was sweet, but she was swamped with many tables so it took a long time for her to get the plates we asked from her so we could to eat. We also ordered the pickle chips appetizer which was plentiful, but only one tiny little tub of ranch was proffered. We had to ask for more when we could catch our busy server. We are very sad about whatever has happened to Yogi's, but we definitely won't be returning. read more

After trying to eat at Cellars we ventured down this tiny town to Yogi's per Yelp reviews. Our waitress was nice and efficient. We were disappointed that they didn't have fried green tomatoes in stock. However, they did have fried Bella mushrooms. The ambiance is a casual mountain feel and dog-themed in honor of Yogi who is the owner's dog! On the patio, they have local live music. To top things off the turtle cheesecake!! Garlic Shrimp app was a little hot but I tolerable...I can't do too hot. Ordered pork chop special and shrimp & grits. Flavor, texture & temperature were spot on! Everything was exceptional! Our first time eating at Yogi's and it was a great experience. My wife had the fried shrimp and I had the grouper . Both were cooked great with a light breading and you could tell this was not a frozen product that was just dropped into the fryer. The fries were great too. Well seasoned. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Took a look at the breakfast menu and will be trying it very soon. I ordered the breakfast with ham. I specifically asked if the ham was country ham. They said it was. It was not. I complained and was offered an alternative meat (I chose bacon). However the grits were cold and the biscuits overcooked and hard on the bottom. When I complained all I got was pushback from the manager. Went here for the first time since changing from Perone's and had a great lunch. Sat at the bar and had a couple of beers with my wife and had the grouper nuggets and wife had wings. Ben g from Fl, finding real grouper can be tough up here. Come to find the owner is also from Fl and the nuggets were spot on. Wife's wings were extremely crispy and also great. We stopped here on the way back from a day in Cherokee. This cute restaurant was so good! We had the brussel sprouts as an appetizer which were roasted and yummy. We had a party of 8 for dinner tonight. Our server was great, except for spilling hot marinara sauce off a plate onto one of our party. Two had steak dinners that were good. Chicken tenders were over cooked. Another of us had the seared salmon, very good. Two had the veal parm that they enjoyed, but for the sauce sliding off the plate. I had the veal picatta, also good. The rolls were good. Fresh & hot. Finally the last member of our party ordered a simple cheeseburger that never got made right. The server sent it back to the kitchen 4 times, seeing it was wrong, so it never made it to the table. In fact, we were all finished, table cleared & were leaving when it was placed in the window, plated and burnt. The chef was rude suggesting my husband could come in & cook it himself because they were busy! The manager was very apologetic, as was our server. Doubt any of us will go back. read more

What has happened to this place? We have gone there every Wednesday for years especially for chicken wings. We continued to go under new ownership. We love the staff and the new owners are very nice. Last night we waited 30 minutes for wings. When we finally got them they were not done. The owner came to our table and told us the kitchen cooked them right.? Put in another order and another 25 minutes and still not crisp the way we have gotten them for years now! no offer of compensation,an alcoholic beverage would've been nice while we waited. Perrones was our first real dinner time meal while visiting Murphy. Up to this point, we had been eating lunch late and just splitting sandwich's I was ready for something more substantial after a week of hiking! We ordered the chicken parm, the chicken Marsala and a house salad. I would order that chicken parm again and again! Small rolls with real butter came with the meals. The side salad was actually pretty big and I would get it again minus the black olives. I love black olives but these were not good. The chicken Marsala paled compared to the chicken parm but I would give it a 4 out of 5. The chicken was tender and the sauce was good. I would really like to try the chicken piccata next time.
