    Lobster roll

The lazy lobster just reopened 6.19.26 and we were just in time to be the first customers. Food was excellent, still the best lobster roll I've ever had! Lobster tacos were great and the chicken nuggets got a rave review from my niece "these are even better then Chick-fil-A!". The staff were so friendly and we were able to joke and laugh with them. Seating outside was nice and they have a nice open window with a bar areas. Highly recommend. Order the lobster roll for sure!

My girlfriend & I came here after a long day at the beach and we were each craving a lobster roll. Pretty simple to order, the waitress looked at me crazy when I asked to put garlic on the roll so I think any substitutions are not a thing here. The lobster roll was more like a wedge sliced open on top with lobster stuffed in. It was awkward to eat.. do you savagely stuff it in your face (that's what I did) or do you daintily pick at it with a fork and knife (what the people next to us did)? It tasted really good but definitely on the pricey side- $78 for just 2 lobster rolls. Service was quick and we were in and out in probably 30mns tops. There were a ton of bugs (gnats) on the patio when we were dining just before sunset.

My family and I actually came twice in one week. Overall, I'd suggest at least one visit. The restaurant was out of everything except for lobster rolls at 6pm on a Sunday. Lucky for us, those were quite good. They were about $35 (not quite sure but basing this on total bill) and comes with excellent bread, butter, and a small coleslaw. Pure lobster! Our second visit, most of us strayed from the lobster. The ribs were good but not amazing. The shrimp po'boy was huge and nicely spiced but a little goopy. I liked the side corn. Nice folks! We got our order quickly.

First time visitor last month and it was a good lunch experience. The food was good, the customers service was good and you can eat inside or outside on a good sunny day. I enjoyed what I got and would go back.

The lobster in these lobster rolls is extremely fresh and they use choice pieces (it wasn't filled with what I refer to as the "foam" end pieces of the claws). Usually when you get a lobster roll, the roll is almost invisible, a functional vessel to hold all that buttery goodness, but at the Lazy Lobster, the roll is part of the intrigue! It's a substantial, fresh, split open and I want to say grilled (not sure if it actually is), almost a Portuguese type roll. Really delicious and buttery. There is no inside seating. The outside seating is comfortable, however the people who drive by inconsiderately, almost seemed purposefully, rev up their engines as they pass. It's seriously a detractor from what would otherwise be a perfect stop, which is why I deducted a star. Luckily there is a beautiful, but private, beach you can observe long enough to regain your zen. The staff was pleasant and helpful and they brought our meals outside to us. Also worth noting they had homemade lemonade that was perfectly not too sweet. According to their take away menu and website, The Lazy Lobster can be hired to do lobster boils and other on the beach, or at your parties.

We love the lazy lobster! We've gone a few times now when we visit the walnut beach area!! They make their baguettes in house according to their sign and the staff is always friendly! We felt as though the food was delicious the only thing that threw us off was the bread/coleslaw/shrimp ratio for the shrimp poboy! We loved the flavor of the shrimp but felt there was too much coleslaw and wish the baguette was cut in half so we didn't have to try and pick it up as whole seeing its massive and very messy! Nonetheless, their food is still very delicious and we do look forward to returning in the future! They have both indoor and outdoor seating as well!

Fully loaded lobster roll! Absolutely delicious! Worth all the hype. Fast service and love the remodel.

Best lobster roll ever had and I'm a lobster fiend. The bread is a fresh baguette with drawn butter on the side - none of that soggy hot dog bun; baguette really elevates the experience. Side of potatoes was amazing. I arrived during a very busy time on Sunday and the service and mood was still fun and chill. Servers all smiles and friendly with everyone. Coming back with my best friend, daughter and her fiancé Thursday so think we'll be sampling the entire menu. Will review again and my expectations are already very high from visit #1

Lobster rolls on fresh homemade baguette! And delicious light and fresh coleslaw!

We checked online and it said they were open, so we just drove over, even though I thought they might be closed. To our surprise, they were open, but because we couldn't order in advance, we had to wait for the order we were trying to have ready for pickup. It was pretty annoying that nobody was picking up the phone, that's bad business. I waited in the car while my man went in. Don't ask me why he thought coleslaw was the only side that came with the family meal, it looked gross and nobody in our house even wanted to touch it. The JJ fries were okay, nothing amazing, but the fried chicken was good as usual. Maybe they were just too busy or maybe they ignored business because they didn't want to work hard, so they didn't answer the phone and ignored their online ordering system. Overall, the chicken never disappoints, but they really need to prevent people from wasting time. We'll probably keep coming back for the chicken.

Service was fairly quick. Considering they fry the chicken to order. I would definitely come back soon.

Growing up in a home with three sisters, Voll had several years experience of working in the kitchen as well as her parents' food establishments. After graduating with a degree in finance, Voll came up with an idea to open her own eatery. After some experimentation with her sisters in their parents' kitchen, it was decided that Voll's comfort food eatery would be exclusively dedicated to macaroni & cheese: a dish that most people have grown up with. The first Mac N' Out opened up at the Interstate 95 Northbound service center in Darien, with a standalone location opening in Milford the following month. The menu features at least 20 varieties of macaroni & cheese (from traditional to Mediterranean to Mexican) as well as "mac munchies", "mac wraps" and "Mac salads". Following the success of the first two locations, a take-out only location opened in Bridgeport in 2015. As of 2026, only the Milford location is still operating. I recently visited Mac N' Out with my younger son while we were in the area. It just so happens that my younger son's favorite food is Mac & cheese, so he was delighted to have lunch at an eatery that exclusively serves the classic comfort dish. We were so overwhelmed by all of the different toppings and flavor varieties. My son ordered the kid's portion of "Grandma's Mac" (white cheddar & American cheese), which came with apple slices and juice. I ended up ordering the "Fourth of July Mac" (Hummel Beef Franks, applewood bacon & cheddar cheese). This combo was very nostalgic for me, as my mother frequently made Mac & cheese with cut up Hummel hot dogs for me when I was a little boy. Both dishes were served to us still simmering in miniature cast iron skillets. The mac & cheese is very hot when it comes to you, but it's so delicious! I paired up my dish with a bottle of Foxon Park White Birch Beer. My son and I had a great experience at Mac N' Out and we would love to return to the future. There are so many more combos that we need to try!

Second visit here because I was extremely disappointed a month or two back from my first visit…read more Walked in about noon on a Saturday, the place was steady with takeout with no other guests dining in I was greeted warmly by the young lady working the front. Trying to stay safe and basic, ordered the plain macaroni and cheese, so I can get a baseline. I also ordered a fountain drink. With the tip it was $15 and change. I took a seat after filling up my fountain drink, and waited about 10 minutes for the mac & cheese As I'm waiting for my order, a Scooby Doo cartoon is playing on the not needed television in my left ear. From my right ear, I'm listening to the staff worker in the kitchen singing to what sounds like Italian music. Could've been Spanish music. A little bit disturbing, as the music and the worker were both quite loud Within 10 minutes, my order arrives. The cast-iron pan with the macaroni and cheese in it, a couple of napkins, and a fork. Now I may be old school, or maybe I'm missing something. Why can't this restaurant serve the food with a plate and a spoon for serving out of the cast-iron pan? I'm getting older. I'm not in college or high school anymore eating food out of a cast-iron pan. I actually like to sit down and enjoy a plated meal, whether at home or out paying good money. The only exception I could see would be grinders. But I want a plate here! And if you're gonna serve it in a cast-iron pan, I want a spoon. I was expecting a flashback to the awful mac & cheese I had last time I was here. Instead, I got a very creamy cheesy sauce and an almost al dente elbow macaroni. The serving was generous in the small cast-iron pan. I did find myself using salt and pepper, as I didn't taste any seasoning at all other than the breadcrumbs on top that I mixed in, with this order So I'm gonna stand with four stars, even though I almost want to give it another three. Thank you to the gracious server, without you, it would've been back to three stars. In closing, I drove an hour and almost 20 minutes down to retry this place. I went out of my way..... For future reference, for in door dining guests, it really would be nice to serve plates with the mac & cheese, and the cast-iron pan and maybe over a pot holder. A serving spoon is a must if you're gonna share this dish with somebody. Anybody older than college age will appreciate the plate or bowl to enjoy this meal from... trust me
