I'm not a fan of cafeteria style restaurants, that being said the staff makes the experience flow nicely. The tables are clean and the dining room is bright and comfortable. The meats are delicious and the variety of sauces provided are a perfect complement for them. The sandwiches look great I really will make it a point to try them. As for the sides, typical of any Barbecue spot are pretty mediocre at best, my thoughts are that they concentrate more on the meats and sides are a nuisance necessity, (would it be too difficult to offer a baked potato ). You have to admire the deep sense of patriotism that is held in the core values of the mission statement which is taken very seriously and demonstrated by the way they support those who are military and the civilian first responders whose duty it is to serve or communities. I intend to support them and return often with a small hope that the side dishes improve. read more

Came here noon on a Tuesday, nice and quiet but picked up a little as we were leaving. Staff was very polite and helpful. They saw that my husbands hands were full with our toddler so they helped bring the tray to our table. The bbq is pretty solid, had the brisket, pulled pork and ribs. My favorite was the variety of bbq sauces. And bottle were clean! No greasy feel! My only complaint is the they make everything with black marker on dark blue tape - a little hard to read. read more

We were in the area for some shopping and needed a place for lunch and found this on Yelp. Holy awesome bbq Batman! What a pleasant surprise this was - Noah greeted us at the counter and walked us through the menu and made recommendations. We got the meat sampler (jalapeño cheddar sausage, brisket and pulled pork) and made it an XXL with mac & cheese and cole slaw, and got an order of the smoked meatloaf. Everything was soooo good - the brisket has this awesome crust that has such good flavor from whatever they do when they're smoking it. Don't let the fact that this is a chain turn you off. While we were eating Noah came out and gave us a tray of brownies for being first time customers- what a lovely touch to an already amazing visit! Since I was looking for something different, I stopped in here for lunch. I'm so glad I did. As I stepped up to the counter, I was welcomed. I explained it was my first time and the young lady came around the counter to my side and walked me through the various sections of the menu boards. This place has a really nice cafeteria vibe, but the food is way better than what you get at school! The first time I visited, I felt right at home. I decided to order a little bit of everything to sample, and it just so happened to be my service dog Gucci's birthday! We enjoyed our meal outside since the weather was perfect. The ribs, pulled pork, corn bread, and brisket were absolutely delicious! Gucci loved the food too! The parking lot here is a little hectic at the stop signs at the exit but at least it's a big lot with plenty of places to park. We took our order at the register and they called our name when our order was ready. We tried the 3 meats combo with brisket, jalapeño and cheese sausage, and pulled pork; wings, ribs, cheesy potatoes, collard greens, and of course their Mac and cheese, with their summer time lemonade, and complimentary pieces of cornbread. The brisket was juicy and tender. I wish we would have gotten the bigger portion of this. The sausage was good, tasted even better when I warmed it up in my air fryer. I appreciate that the chicken wings were not dry. The ribs fell right off them bone, the one piece I tried was a little fatty. I'm not a big pork fan, so I skipped the shredded beef. I like that the collard greens weren't bitter, but I like Hindsight's better. I wish it had a cheese pull but at least I like that the Mac and cheese was crispy on top but also liked hindsight's better. The lemonade had a nice clean taste to it, It wasn't too sweet. I wouldn't mind if it was tangier but still was great. I like how there are variety of BBQ sauces ready on each table for our convenience. This is my first time here at this place and I enjoyed it very much. The inside decor is very patpatriotic and all about first responders, law enforcement and fire fighters. Since never being there before they explained to us how to order and we ordered brisket, macaroni and cheese, salmon, fries, turkey, and fries. Oh my goodness!! I'm still in a food coma. The food is absolutely superb. It was ready very quickly made from scratch as I was informed and absolutely delicious. My husband's turkey was something that he's never tasted in his life. It was super moist, incredibly flavorfuland literally sent him through the roof! We've come close to this at another famous bbq spot in CT. I'm not a major foodie, but I like good food. The service was great and the people very nice. The ambiance was a normal noise level, where you could still have a conversation with someone. The restaurant is filled with memorabilia from the different branches of the military and the different EMT police department throughout Connecticut. I sampled three different sauces. They were all tasty. It was a lot food, so after I ate all my ribs, I only ate half of the beans and took a bite of cornbread. It always caught me eye from the outside - rustic and authentic look despite being a chain. Today i tried Mission BBQ for the first time and by far one of the best BBQ in the states and for sure best on east coast. I got pulled pork and brisket with a side of baked beans. I have been to Mission BBQ in Florida so I was happy to see it in Orange. Sam greeted us and took our order. She was very friendly. We ordered 2 pulled pork sandwiches NC style and one brisket sandwich along with fries, green beans and Mac n cheese for sides. Servings were generous and we ate everything. They have 6 different BBQ sauces, sweet and hot, my favorite is Tupelo Honey Hot but we also got Memphis Belle. Our take out meals were packaged nicely. We dug into them so quickly I didn't even get pictures. All employees were pleasant and remained busy preparing meals. I love the atmosphere and all the military and service related decor.
