The food was impeccable, and I must say, they truly do their meats extremely well. Here are some of the things we ordered. Please bear in mind that we had it family style, and the portions are humongous. - Antipasto - They truly had a sublime selection of Italian-style cured meats, which included Prosciutto di Parma, Soppressata, Mortadella, fresh Mozzarella Pearls, Red Onions, salad underneath, and balsamic glaze drizzled over the top, providing a sweet-tart contrast. It was a very nice high-end charcuterie platter. 5/5 Stars. - Fried Calamari - They lightly floured and fried it. Personally, I preferred it to be fried a bit more. 4/5 Stars. - Eggplant Rollatini - stuffed with ricotta, topped with marinara, and melted mozzarella. The eggplant was sliced thinly and was generously stuffed. 4/5 Stars. - Penne Vodka - They were in a light tomato pancetta cream sauce. I personally preferred a little spicier. 4/5 Stars. - Orrechiette pasta served with fresh tomatoes, garlic, and sausage, broccoli rabe, and basil in garlic & oil. They overcooked the sausage, but regardless, it truly was exceptional. 5/5 Stars - Shrimp scampi - It was overcooked. 3.5/5 Stars. - Boneless Roasted Chicken Cacciatore - the chicken was so tender and juicy. 5/5 Stars. - Pork Loin Giambotta - They grilled it to perfection, and it was still juicy. This dish was accompanied by mushrooms, onions, and peppers. 5/5 Stars. - Mashed red potatoes - Creamy and smooth. 5/5 Stars. The service was impeccable. They constantly came over to see if there was anything we needed. Plenty of wine and beer flowing, exchanging of dirty dishes for clean dishes, and ensuring we have everything we need.

Almonte Tobacconist is a thief…read more I was in the store to buy a special cigar for Father's Day last year. I told Nestor that my favorite brand is Padron, so he sold me a Padron Black for $45. When I smoked the cigar, it was clear to me that at some point the stick had been improperly stored. It tasted like it had previously dried out and was then rehumidified. It was awful. I have been smoking cigars, including Padrons, for more than 20 years, so I know what a previously dried out cigar tastes like, and I know what a Padron should taste like. When I raised this with Antonio he refused to do anything about it. Antonio is a thief. He does not stand by the cigars he sells.

The moment you walk in, you are greeted with a smile and the experience starts. Members get to have a private locker where you can store your own cigars and alcohol. Yes, this is a BYO place, so all you have to pay for is the food and cigars if don't bring your own. Speaking of food they have an amazing chef just for Sushi and a really nice food menu comparable to any high end steakhouse. As a member I was able to bring 3 friends with me to come and enjoy an evening. We started with Sushi/Sashimi which was exceptionally good. Afterwards we ordered lamb chops, which were some of the best I've ever had. For dinner we decided to share a Tomahawk and a chicken. As expected, the Tomahawk was huge, Flinstones style! Fred would have been proud, lol. The chicken was very different, flavorful and juicy. After dinner we went to the other room for smoking cigars. They have two rooms. One where you can eat, and another where you can eat and smoke. I guess this is done so if someone was not interested in smoking, you have access to a smoke-free room. The smoking room is beautifully decorated and has the best ambiance of any cigar club I have been to. They have a good selection of cigars you can chose from and they are kept in a great humidity condition to keep them fresh. The night we went, there was also a live Jazz singer, which definitely added to the ambiance. In closing I'll just say, that this place doesn't feel like it's in NJ. Once you enter and start to enjoy, you feel like you are sitting in a 5 star luxury venue in Dubai or Hong Kong. There is nothing that comes close to Royale on the East Coast!

After my first trial visit, I couldn't wait to become a member and now I can't wait for my locker to be custom engraved. The Royale Cappuccino with 23k edible gold flakes was enjoyed in it's full entirety while signing the paperwork for membership. As I was inspecting some of the cigars I was interested in buying, I noticed that every cigar I picked up felt hard and stale...and I was having a hard time finding one that felt slightly spongy and fresh like I prefer. At that moment, the idiot store manager with glasses (I believe his name is Rick, based on other reviews I have read) says, "My man, please only squeeze the cigar you are going to buy to avoid damaging them." I let him know that I was gently squeezing them because I was trying to find one that was not hard as a rock and stale...he then told me that these are all "premium" cigars and that I shouldn't be "damaging them for the next person. " I put the cigar down and walked out. After being a regular customer for several years, I will never shop there again. It seems that not only their product quality, but also their basic customer service skills need a lot of improvement.
