I was expecting a lot more from this place, heard about this restaurant and was always on my list to try. Not impressed. Linguini w/ white clam came out a bit cold and bland. The steak also was on the cold side. If you serve steak at this price range, make sure it's kept hot. Service was great! It was a weeknight so it wasn't really packed.

Hubby and I were on 11/6/25. stopped in for dinner since it is walking distance from the Count Basie to our car, and I have been wanting to eat here for ages and i was very hungry. We were last ones in for dinner since the kitchen was closing- but we quickly ordered our food so the kitchen could head home. Bresaola w/fresh Burrata drizzled with Pesto- absolutely delicious I highly recommend this, it was perfect as a starter and my husband and I loved it. For my main, Calamari Marinara sautéed in the marinara, I had a choice of it served over hot or sweet linguine, I chose hot. Absolutely fantastic the calamari was tender and not over done, perfect bites with the macaroni, it was huge! and I had plenty for lunch the next day. Hubby ordered the Lobster Ravioli and it was served with shrimp & scallop in a tomato blush sauce. Ravioli was large, delicate and stuffed full, and it was quite a large serving as well, in fact he had enough for lunch the next day, and was very happy about that. Honestly, for such late service and with the kitchen closing, they did not rush the food service, they didn't skimp or push out sub par meals, everything was as if we were a 7p dinner service, but at 10p. I really want to come here on a night that we are not, ourselves rushed for work at 5a the next day, but honestly, if this is any indication and reflection of the staff and service they regularly have during traditional meal service, then to me.. they shined brightly as could be. I commented to my husband I would love to come back for our 27th Anniversary (coming up) and he smiled and said, maybe sooner.. and he rarely says that about any restaurant and we have been together over 35, so that says a lot. With Wine and dinner, it was a little over $100.+ he never lets me see the bill but I think it was definitely a reasonable dinner for two. Yes I took photos and yes I am posting them. I forgot our servers name, but she is a gem and I would love to have her again, she was fun, welcoming and didn't make us feel rushed or that we were bothering them in the way for coming in so late-- and that is very hard to find staff that are as welcoming as the staff here is. So I am sorry I forgot your name, but thank you for making our evening out so enjoyable.

It was my first time, its very striking exterior caught my attention, the interior is very classic and rustic, the open kitchen concept caught my attention a lot, the waiter Antonio was fine, the service was constant. I don't have any bad comments about the service. Speaking of the food I was very surprised the truth both main dishes were spectacular with the appetiser I only have one complaint I have tried better Bruschetta that was terrible the tomato was not pomodoro. Desert was good

We enjoy the food very crowed on weekends but still delisioso!! Chicken Milanese done to perfection. The only thing I didn't like was the rosé sangria was very sweet.

Superb Italian, great service, and generous portions. The octopus appetizer was cooked to perfection, but the highlight was the gnocchi bolognese -- big chunks of meat (not some soupy paste) and hearty red sauce with gnocchi that were borderline fluffy (don't know if you can call good gnocchi fluffy, but they didn't sit heavy at all). Great meal with friends and an excellent start to 2026. I was able to finish about half of the portion -- and enjoyed the rest over the weekend

We had an outstanding celebration at this res!!The atmosphere was inviting! The crater salad and chicken parm were fantastic. Chocolate lava cake and lemon sorbet were so good! Service staff were excellent!! We will define back!!Great job ...

The ambiance is old school, Italian, dark lighting, good music (live music during dinner - maybe even get up and sing along!). The menu is extensive and they make each plate to order, so those that have allergies can communicate that when ordering and the kitchen will take care of you. I enjoyed a cosmo and gluten free penne vodka with grilled chicken and it was amazing. A huge portion! The server was extremely nice, fun, and professional.

The halibut caught my eye immediately; I'm a sucker for a perfectly prepared piece of halibut or a great pork chop, and since my partner doesn't eat meat it made for an easy share. Earlier in the day, a couple of women at our hotel bar mentioned the chef had trained at Jean-Georges in Manhattan, which only added to our anticipation. It wasn't until we got back to the hotel after dinner and did a little reading that we learned just how decorated Harary really is; his Restaurant Nicholas held Zagat's top spot in New Jersey for 15 consecutive years and earned a 4-star New York Times review. That context made our middling meal sting just a little more. We started with the bread service and the beet salad. The bread itself was baked beautifully, but the butter and ricotta accompanying it were completely flavorless. My partner and I are not salt-at-the-table people; we trust that seasoning happened in the kitchen. This was the first time in recent memory that we actually reached for the salt shaker. Not a great sign. The beet salad should have been a showstopper. Beets, when done right, can carry an entire dish on their own. Instead, they were buried under an avalanche of arugula. Don't get me wrong, arugula is one of my favorite greens; that peppery bite and beautiful texture are hard to beat, but here it was doing all the heavy lifting while the beets sat underneath doing nothing. We'd eaten most of the salad before we even noticed the sunflower seeds and a smear of mascarpone hiding on the bottom of the bowl. That mascarpone, gently flaked on top with the seeds scattered over it to catch in the folds, could have made this dish genuinely memorable. The gorgeous candy-striped radishes were a lovely visual touch, but they were raw, undressed slices with no seasoning, no acid, no pickling. Beautiful to look at; an afterthought to eat. The whole salad felt that way, honestly. For our main, we shared the Panko Crusted Halibut with bok choy and smoked shallot velouté. The sauce was the star; the smoke level was dialed in perfectly, present in all the right ways without overpowering everything else. The wild mushrooms were lovely, but the dish needed something to break up the texture. The bok choy brought good flavor, but it mirrored the mushrooms so closely that each bite started to blur together. Something crispy, something sharp, would have elevated the whole thing considerably. The fish itself was cooked well; firm, flakey, and not dried out. The panko crust was gorgeous to look at but could have been crispier. Based on its beautiful golden color, it looked like it had more crunch than it actually delivered. The cocktails were a genuine highlight. An old fashioned made with 1792 and a Black Manhattan, both well-crafted and the clearest bright spots of the evening. The three people behind the bar were another highlight. Expedient, attentive, never rushing anyone, and willing to make easy conversation without being intrusive. That is exactly what you want from people working a good bar. The ambiance, though, was confusing. The space seemed to pull in two directions at once; it wanted to feel upscale but also like a sports bar, and it never fully committed to either. Three small TVs tucked into the corners would have been fine. The oversized screen mounted prominently on the wall was intrusive and clashed hard with any sense of elevated dining. The music was classic rock, which I enjoy, but it read as wrong for the room and was a tad too loud. The music for this type of setting should be something to just add some ambiance, not for people to shout-sing too like you've had too many beers at a dive karaoke bar, which I love by the way, this was just not that kind of place. Those same women from the hotel bar had also warned us it could get loud and obnoxious in there. We figured we'd take our chances. We probably should have listened. With the legacy behind this place, the potential is clearly there. The bar staff gets it. Now the kitchen and the room just need to catch up.

Make sure you have 3 people to tackle it. Like another patron said, this place is intimate and loud at the same time. I think they only had 2 people working somehow, but we didn't have to wait egregiously for anything. Overall, highly recommend!

I literally said to myself as I drove around Somerville that I wish there was a wine or cocktail bar for...mature people like myself to chill at. So I looked up wine bars and boom - VintEdge was right down the street. I came in around 9pm, picked a comfy seat by the window, and ordered. Can you believe I had never had an espresso martini until that evening?? So my first was a pumpkin espresso martini. Well I may have had 2. And another drink. Ahem. The service was great, not fussy, and I wasn't rushed even as we approached last call. Visit 2: having heard about my great experience there alone, my cousin arranged to meet me there last week. Or so she thought. Through a series of mutual miscommunications, I was here at the crib waiting for her, while she was at the wine bar waiting for me. Once we figured that out, she got us some food to go and we ate here at home. Verdict: -excellent seating options - stools, couches, chairs -food is so so good. Tartare, truffle fries. Fig jam pizza -drinks include awesome bottles and seasonal takes on old favorites This could be my new spot.
