I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the directors and staff! I wish we had started her prior to her being 1. We had a horrible experience before and I was so nervous at first. But the teachers and directors were very responsive. After my daughter was there, we had a second one and due to covid I was able to juggle him and work. He started there at the age of one as well and has learned and grown so much! He is now 3 and my daughter 6, will be there this summer. We absolutely love this daycare!!!! Thank you teachers and directors for doing an absolutely hands down amazing job! Side note: even with the teacher change overs they have been very commutative and understanding my needs and concerns. Changes were made! They listen to you and work with the needs of your child!!!!

The team there is fantastic - friendly and genuinely kind people who care about the kids in their school. Food is included, but it's "kid food" - lots of chicken nuggets and fish sticks - so if you're looking for something organic or fancy you might want to provide your own food instead. That said, they were very accommodating of my kids' dietary restrictions and never made us worry that our kids would be fed something they couldn't eat (something I can't say for every child care facility we've encountered in LKN). The playgrounds are a little old - mulch-filled and older style equipment, chain link fences, etc. Compared to some newer facilities, the playgrounds could use some love, but my kids were happy so I didn't mind. Water play day on Wednesdays in the summer! Ice cream truck visits every other Tuesday in the summer! Older kids might even go for a walking field trip to Bruster's - the highlight of their week. Communication with the front office and with your kid's teacher is more challenging now because of COVID. I found I was still able to reach people if I needed to, and they answered all of my questions to my satisfaction. A weekly newsletter or email from teachers to parents might be a good idea - sometimes we felt surprised by planned events and daily/weekly themes. I love the layout of the building inside - the older kids' classroom in the middle feels very much like a Montessori environment to me. Overall would highly recommend!

I was hopeful after researching online that this would be a good option for drop in style child…read morecare for my 9 year old this summer while I occasionally work. I was also looking for information about summer camp. I was scheduled for an in person appt after filling out the requested information. When I showed up, the women explained to me that summer camp was full and that drop in service was only available through people's employers. Her words were "I can't really explain it." I guess their website cannot either. Horribly disappointed as I took time away from my job and family to come to this "interview" in the middle of a weekday.

Tutor time Mooresville allowed my daughter to be bullied to the point she didn't want to return…read morethere. She's a very friendly sweet 5 yr old (as reported by her school teachers) so when I brought up the abuse to Tammy, I was told If I decided to keep her there they'd look into the abuse. (obviously a "motivated" response not based on improving the environment in her class with Connie.) The truth is that if they knew anything about child development they wouldn't have such a wide age range of kids in the same class. I'm not taking the word of my daughter. My husband and I both noticed the kids bullying our daughter on the play ground. In one instance that our daughter was crying Connie sat her out of the game and not the boy that hit her in the face as he jerked the ball away from her. My daughter was even told by her teacher not to tell me when she was pushed down or treated meanly. That she could only tell a teacher. It took months for me to get my daughter to tell me why she "didn't want to go to tutor time" or "can I please go to a new tutor time?" The last thing is there is no structure in the after school program. Tammy said it was designed that way because of the age differences of the children. So, the children basically get into groups and entertain themselves which creates a great opportunity for bullying behavior. Im not sure all the teachers are like this but I wouldn't recommend you do the after school program with Connie.

Our daughter started at Kiddie Academy February of 2024. Our overall experience at this location…read morehas been good. The facility is nice, open and they also have camera access. They have additional programs kids can participate in like soccer and yoga (an extra fee) which is great for exposing kids to different sports and leisure activities. The teacher turn-over is high. In my daughters class she has had three different teachers since August and several different teacher assistants. This created some drop off issues but she adjusted overtime. She is no longer attending because there have been several cases of hand, foot and mouth disease. The school notified parents but as a precaution we weren't comfortable sending her back. The lack of cleanliness and staff consistency in my opinion is why there were probably a few cases (I am not a doctor but I have spoken to friends and family in childcare). Would I recommend the school for its facility structure and programing yes. Would I recommend them if you want teacher consistency and a empathetic regional director, no

We're a few weeks into care with this facility and so far it's not been a great experience. The…read morecustomer service is trash; they seem completely unaware that we are paying customers and act as though they're doing us a favor. They've asked for grace through the opening process. The cameras in the classrooms not working appropriately, the safety mechanism on the door not working properly, the opening of the business being pushed back. With that being said, grace is not returned. We tried to drop our 2 month old off today 19 minutes past the "cut off time"- which is 9:30am and she was turned away. First of all, having a cut off time at a daycare that's open from 6-6 is ridiculous, my schedule is flexible and sometimes i don't start until later in the day and prefer for her to be with me instead of at daycare. With that said- we realize that is the rule and should have read their terms closer and paid attention- unfortunately we did not- but when you're open for a few weeks and constantly asking for understanding, you'd think you'd be able to reciprocate. Also, she's 2 months old and our first child. What if there's traffic? What if she throws up on us on the way out the door and we have to change her? We cant drop off our child without a DOCTORS NOTE after 9:30 in the morning? Is that a joke? We have to take a day off work because we were 20 minutes "late" to a place we pay to care for our child from 6-6? The director is a cold, unaccommodating, unhelpful piece of the the business. While trying to use their entrance software, which does not work properly, she sits through the door watching us struggle instead of offering help. Once we finally get into the building and explain the issue we're having, she looks at us like we're speaking a foreign language, despite two seconds later being told by another employee that the system had been doing exactly what we were describing all day. She's standing there when we walk in 19 minutes past their cutoff time and instead of offering any understanding about how hard it is to be new parents during this adjustment period, she just turns and walks away without a word. We've picked up our daughter multiple times with crusty vomit in her hair, having eaten 8oz in an 8 hour period, with poop up her back and past her belly button. Watching on the cameras as she's placed in her crib for a vast majority of the day- that is when the cameras are even working. For a company that's just starting out, trying to establish their place in the community with something as important as our children, you'd think it would be all KIND hands on deck- ESPECIALLY in the beginning. Instead we get attitude. In my opinion, they act as though there's no other place in town that takes children and that we're lucky to be there and not as though we are the consumers who are paying their salaries and keeping the lights on. If the behavior continues, good luck filling your rooms.
