A late Yelp review as this is about their COVID patio. They set it up in their parking lot complete with shade, A TV and I think that brought in some heaters too in the fall. The parking lot is big so the tables are super spaced out (unlike most places). And best of all Leaside Pub offers great value for your hard earned dollars. I love their 75-cent wings. I usually order salt & pepper or Korean BBQ. Their fried potatoes are also worth ordering, but the salad options are somewhat disappointing. I'm spoiled by Greek restaurants that serve fresh salads with quality olive oil. Pitchers are reasonably priced as well. Honestly, if you're craving wings and beer, it's hard to beat the value for the money at the Leaside Pub. I highly recommend it. read more

Nice neighbourhood pub in Leaside. Food and drink are reasonably priced, especially the daily specials. They have lots of screens for sports, dart boards and a pool table. The music and the tv's are not too loud so you can have a conversation with your friends. Staff are friendly and the kitchen is quick. read more

Dinner with my sister last Saturday nite at the LP As always the staff was amazing and although busy, sat us quickly and delivered our drinks asap. We ordered the calamari which to be honest was not good. Then we both ordered the Saturday night steak special. Excellent value for the price. Solid local family restaurant. The worst service I have ever had in my life, sat at the bar and ordered one beer and quesadillas , Took one half hour for the food to arrive, the girl behind the bar happened to look at me and noticed I had no food and brought it to me. I used to go to this pub for 2 years with my sports team. Friendly atmosphere, reasonable. Priced food. Not great, but ok. I went with friends for lunch, only to see a cochroach walking on the ledge. When I mentioned it to a waitress she mentioned they have been dealing with them for 3 years. And when ever they fumigate and spray they come back. We left and wont be returning anymore. read more

The pub has accommodated well with Covid and the seating in the parking lot, they even bring the dartboard out for people to still play. First, let me address other reviews: There is salt an pepper at every table, no exceptions. So, no idea what that's about. The food is not special, just average. But it's cheap. $9 for eggs Benny, $3 cheaper than anywhere else in the area, and just as good. Service is good, good is good, hell even the coffee isn't bad. After passing by this place several times, we finally decided to go in. Loved the Xmas decorations. Made the place feel very cozy. It wasn't very busy, so we got served quite quickly. We ordered the pub fries and gravy and a couple beer. I usually don't like wedge fries, but these were nice and crispy and the gravy tasted great. I recently happened upon the Leaside Pub whilst out for a casual walk. My first indication was a cozy bar that looked right up my alley. I was not disappointed, my first comment was the nice open atmosphere, whilst still being cozy and intimate. Our server was attentive to our needs, returned to our table without prompting without hovering about like overly eager staff can do. The beer is reasonably priced, you're not going to find much cheaper in your standard Toronto bar, food was well priced for what they offer and I found it to be quite a varied menu catering to a bunch of different moods and tastes. We arrived at the pub on a sunny weekday in July hoping to have lunch on the patio, but we were told it was closed because of construction. Sitting inside was pretty dark and not overly welcoming. We were pretty annoyed that when we were just about done our meal a few other people asked to be seated on the patio, for some reason the patio was magically no longer under construction. I can understand if they had it closed because they didn't have the staff to cover it, but don't lie and then open it for others. The menu looked like standard pub fare and they had some specials. It was a little pricey, but we figured it must be decent. The food was immensely disappointing, not much flavour, and it tasted cheaply and quickly prepared. The food was what you would expect to find in a cafeteria or worse. I wouldn't be surprised if it was microwaved. We left there feeling like we paid typical Toronto prices for hospital food. The waiter we had was nice and responsive, but it wasn't enough to leave us with anything but regret for the whole experience. read more

Quick front door seating service. Drink was ordered and brought to table quickly. Servers are polite. But i ordered a simple garden salad which also came out quickly. Almost too quickly even for a salad. Upon arrival i saw a piece of "wilted" lettuce, so i removed it, only to move other pieces around to find so many more. I continued removing them as the waitress watched and passed by at least 3 times without saying a word. Finally the waitress asked if everything was ok, i told her no this salad is disgusting. She replied with "is it too wilted for your taste?" I said "it's too wilted for anyone's taste...it's rotting" i said this kitchen is missing quality control and that it should not have made out the kitchen... "it SHOULD be too wilted for the CHEF'S standards...it shouldn't ever reach the customer looking like that. Makes me wonder how well they are taking care of the kitchen. Having read the negative reviews, I must say that I'm somewhat selfishly pleased. Stay away and don't confront me with any line-ups!! We have moved back to Leaside after35 years in North York and this has become a favourite for great value and entirely wholesome meals. When my friendly dentist returns from Florida the liver and onions are on me -- he will love that as they do a great job on that meal. We used to enjoy coming to Fox & Fiddle, now Leaside Pub. Downhill slide! Time for a reno - beyond tired carpeting, chairs and tables, bathrooms - yikes! Food used to be average at a good price for what you got. Food quality has slid from average to not good at all. There is seldom a Friday night when there are not hordes of kids at this bar- like pub. Seems to be mostly hockey teams and their parents. Parents largely ignore their kids (I'm talking ages ranging from 6 - 12 at the high end) while kids race around the pub like holey terrors. We didn't take our kids to bars when they were not even teenagers, and can't imagine why parents would want to expose their kids to the 'regulars' sitting at the bar, or the groups of adults meeting after their games, or whatever, and drinking to excess. Like tonight, a group of men who threw their coats on the table and stood to drink their many beers. The 'F' word was used frequently in not subtle voices and this group ended up with one fellow throwing two or three full glasses of beer at his mates. All this before 9:30 pm. I could imagine this at closing time.......... But at 9:30 when the night was still young? Plenty of youngsters on hand to witness this 'stellar' behavior! Clean it up Leaside Pub. Your fixtures need a clean up, your food is not good, and service is slow. Your customers (very young and drunks) need to be under control. I was very surprised to read the previous reviews complaining about the food. My friend and I had lunch here the other day and found the food just delicious. We loved everything, the main courses - fish and chips and a pizza-like entree with cheeses, onions and olives, and the desserts - cheese cake with caramel sauce and deep dish apple pie with ice cream. Not sure what was up with the pepper and salt thing as im pretty sure there was salt and pepper at my table and probably the other tables. I've been here a lot and really enjoy mt time at the Leaside Pub. It's an awesome place to go to during sporting events and the food is really good. My favourite thing is the shrimp salsa wrap. Appalling! We couldn't get into Local across the street, so went in on a whim. Don't let the updated exterior fool you. It's the same old dark & dingy place, reaking of spilled beer. There were families, eldery couples, middle-aged like us from the neighbourhood. Waitress said that everything was 'awesome' after each order. Well, it truly was not awesome. She said the bartender made the best Cosmo she had ever had - bleh - sickly sweet, no lime. Nothing on the menu appealed to us - same old, same old pub staples, cooked from frozen. We opted for a couple of the specials. Ribs & wings for my husband, with fries so salty they were inedible. Ribs were grey, no flavour, with BBQ sauce spread on top (Kraft no doubt). I ordered the pork stir fry special. The pork was cooked beyond recognition - yesterday's leftovers I think - a glob of noodles, with teriyaki sauce from a jar, and nary a vegetable to be found. The chef should be embarassed to serve food like that. We can seriously say we will never, ever eat there again. read more
