I love their 75-cent wings. I usually order salt & pepper or Korean BBQ. Their fried potatoes are also worth ordering, but the salad options are somewhat disappointing. I'm spoiled by Greek restaurants that serve fresh salads with quality olive oil. Pitchers are reasonably priced as well. Honestly, if you're craving wings and beer, it's hard to beat the value for the money at the Leaside Pub. I highly recommend it.

Dinner with my sister last Saturday nite at the LP As always the staff was amazing and although busy, sat us quickly and delivered our drinks asap. We ordered the calamari which to be honest was not good. Then we both ordered the Saturday night steak special. Excellent value for the price. Solid local family restaurant. Just don't get calamari.

Review Highlights - The Leaside Pub

I usually don't like wedge fries, but these were nice and crispy and the gravy tasted great.

We shared the duck confit appetizer that was a special, as well as the fish tacos and BBQ wings. The fish tacos tasted the best. Although they were loaded, it could have used more fish. The duck confit was unexpected large in portion for $19 which was a nice surprise. It was also good, but could have used a starch to soak up the sauce as the dish tasted pretty salty without a starch. I guess if they added a starch it would have become an entree not an app so it could be tweaked better for an app. Finally the wings were very disappointing. There wasn't much meat and they were way overfried. It was so dry and not tossed in enough sauce. The ranch sauce was the best part of that plate. I ordered a cappuccino at the end and it was way too milky. I expected better since they have the whole espresso machine get up. Overall it was decent. If I'm in the area again I'd give it another shot.

Huge portion for $19. Delicious but a tad salty. Definitely missing a starch as there is so much sauce.

It is very dimly lit, with amazing retro 70-90 tunes in the background (post-punk, shoe gazing, afro beats). I kept Shazaming every other song. The service is very friendly. The place has understated elegance, and is casual at the same time. It's a great place for a second date, if you're looking for something non-pretentious (think the polar opposite of King West.) The food is small plates, which are moderately priced. Certainly not the high prices some tapas restaurants charge. The Campo Real Olives were incredible. Lightly cured, and warmed up. Some of the best olives I've had in a while. The Aged Manchego with Honeycomb was most delicious. What a gorgeous pairing. The honeycomb is a little bite of summer. The Smoked Trout Devilled Eggs are the best darn devilled eggs I've ever had. I'm going to have to try to recreate those bad boys. The Pear + Radicchio + Blue cheese + Walnut salad was great. The Scallop Crudo was delicious. The Ribeye Cheeseburger was excellent. The cocktails were excellent and unique, delightfully flavoured with interesting ingredients, and nice bitters, and with whimsical names. Finally I want to mention that the place is ran by a husband and wife duo. The wife was there the entire evening making sure everyone was satisfied. They have been in business for over a decade. This shows what a real difference it makes when a restaurant is a labour of love of people who care about their customers. This is a place to come back to! P.S. They have a front patio, if you prefer.

This was first on our list, located in the Scotiabank Tower on Adelaide. We got a nice corner table, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting, not too loud but not library-like either. The music, mostly UK fare like their cuisine, played an acceptable volume that my friends and I didn't have to raise our voices. We were seated very promptly, and our server took care to attend to my friend's allergy. She even asked to change my friend's cutlery when another server brought the wrong salad. My appetizer was a hot-smoked salmon pâté, which was ok by itself, but eaten with the pickles gave it that taste I wouldn't forget. I chose for my main the Petit Roast Dinner; the cut was excellent, full of flavour and juicy to boot. The gravy for said cut just brought the roast to another level. The sides were delicious as well, especially the crispiness of the potatoes. A clean plate was the end result! Finally to finish the meal, I chose the chocolate banoffee cheesecake - I never pass on any cheesecake when it's offered. And it didn't disappoint! The banana brûlée was an interesting touch, while having toffee sauce drizzled on the cheesecake was a first (and not definitely last) for me! All in all, it was a nice introduction to The Rabbit Hole, and I can't wait to go down there again!
