Today was all about my last born and only son. He turned 14 and he wanted to go to Lego Land and grab a couple things to build. When we walked in we were greeted and helped by staff. It was very organized and had a wide selection on legos for my son to choose from. We've never had a bad experience here nor any toy store really. Walking into the Lego store feels like stepping into a rainbow made of bricks. The staff are Lego wizards, discussing "piece counts" and "brick compatibility" with the passion of sommeliers. The walls are lined with sets ranging from "Simple" (3,000 pieces) to "Expert" (clear your schedule). The Pick-A-Brick wall is like a candy store, but guilt-free. I went in just to browse and left three hours later, dazed, with a Millennium Falcon and a lighter wallet. But you can't put a price on joy. Have loved this store since the mall opened and invested a lot of my hard-earned dollars into some great LEGO sets over those years. Super clean store full of friendly employees that are always helpful if you have questions. Terrific displays set up in the front windows and all along the sides of the store so you get a preview of what the sets are really like. They have a cool VIP program (free) where you earn points for each purchase and they also offer promotional sets whenever you spend a certain amount at the store. You can turn your VIP points into entries for some neat online items or cash them into "discounts" off of LEGO purchases. My wife and I love to buy our sets here or even just stop in and get some building ideas. Be sure to check often for clearance items as they do discount some items to move inventory. They have something for everyone - from little mini-figure keychains to a giant Star Wars Star Destroyer. read more

This is a great store for ideas... Literally, they have a bin up by the front to make a creation of your own and put your name on it, and add it to the gallery for the day. I made one. I love looking into the little cases at the creations they have made into foods, world's, and fantasy lands. They have fun duplo, and sets for all ages, and even sophicated sets for the architects in your life. I loved talking to Jacob, he was showing me parts of special sets since he knows I'm building my own fairgrounds. He pointed a few I'd love to add to my collection, I love that about my Lego store. I love LEGOs! I still have all my LEGOs from when I was a child. Some of my fondest memories are of building my LEGO sets with my brother on Christmas day. Fast forward to 2019 - my boyfriend and I decided that we were going to start having puzzle date nights. We work on jigsaw puzzles, LEGO models, wooden models, etc. I had wanted the VW Camper Van for years, but had always passed on getting something for myself. Instead getting something for my little nephew. Finally the day came that I bought my VW. We had a blast putting it together! We decide to do another LEGO model and picked the Mustang. We had hours of fun putting that together too. Even the cat got involved by batting some pieces under the sofa while we took a break to eat. Thinking we had missing pieces did stop our progress for a couple of days though. So why do I buy at the LEGO store vs other stores that carry LEGO? Great customer service, knowledge, and availability. The staff is always friendly, even on the busiest of days. They are excited about their products too! They are always willing to help! When we thought we were missing pieces to the Mustang we called the store. They told us to come in with our book and they could find temporary pieces until our replaces pieces came in from LEGO. They even told us how to contact LEGO to get the replacement pieces. I've had to do some returns too - no problems with the receipt and sealed box! read more

The store has stopped doing preorders, so I elected to purchase the Luke and Dark troopers set off Lego.com. I received the set yesterday, but find the set and Boba Fett's palace cheaper at Costco. I go into return the set and they refuse to refund my money, but they are more than happy to give me store credit. Such BS!! I also drove about 30 minutes to get here. Its been a long time since I have thought about LEGO's let alone even looked at them and I have to say they are pumping out some interesting things such as the Ducati V4 Panigale and the Bugatti Veyron. I used to buy my Legos from Target or Walmart due to convenience and closeness to me, but I started coming here and now I cant imagine buying my Legos anywhere else. Okay, we have been in this store many, many times and what I appreciate about the store is that the team that works here is ready and willing to assist if you need it but otherwise will leave you to browse their vast selection of items without any pressure or constant follow-up. We have always had friendly service at this store but last nights experience was exceptional. A huge shout out to Jacob and the other young man that was working (wish is caught his name). They were both friendly and engaging. My kiddos took quite a long time making their final selections but there was no pressure. At checkout Jacob helped me find our years-old LEGO frequent flyer account and shared info on how to reactivate it. He was friendly and engaging and made a good experience a great one! read more

We stopped by here this past week, as my son loves legos. We were disappointed to see that they don't allow anyone into the store. We had given our son a budget of $100 to spend during this visit, and ended up taking our business to a different retailer because of their policy. The employees do their best by showing you pictures, hence the 3 stars, but it really limits the experience of the store. If you don't need a specific set today, then I recommend going online to purchase. It may even be a better experience as they have more sets available online. read more

We have a lego project going on at our home, and I have made several trips to the Chandler store, a single to the Arrowhead store, and a couple trips to the Legoland Discovery Center. I'm combining my reviews for all locations because I think a comparison is helpful. Every single visit to the Chandler store (and my one visit to the Arrowhead store) was excellent in every way. The stores are clean. The displays are in great condition. The staff is smiling and engaged with me as well as with my toddler (whom it would be fair to say requires tolerance in an environment with inviting toy pieces within arm's reach). When I have explained my project needs or had questions, the staff showed enthusiasm and offered helpful suggestions, and they also were very knowledgeable. Additionally, multiple people directed me to outside sources that were helpful (like lego tutorials). On one occasion at the Chandler store, I purchased a "surprise" Disney Mini-Figure package for my toddler, who was having a rough moment. When the Mini-Figure wasn't helping her, the cashier distracted her with a small collection of Mini-Figures at the counter, and he let her trade in her piece for a more recognizable figure. Now that's as customer oriented as it gets!! In contrast, it's a bummer that my family has consistently had disappointing experiences at the Legoland Discovery Center (which is owned and operated by a third-party, not Lego), where we have been members for nearly a year. As a general matter, I have repeatedly experienced the discovery center to be a bit rundown and in need of maintenance. For example, there are broken displays in the Friend area, and the mini cities are consistently dusty. Also, there is a cool electronic lego tutorial room, but the pieces for the projects are impossible to find. I have had some very positive experiences with employees like a manager yesterday who came to the rescue when a cashier was being unreasonable about a full-your-own-container purchase (she would not allow me to hold the lid to see if it fit over the contents of the container, claiming placing the lid on the purchase was a staff only thing ), and I also have had some very negative experiences with other employees. For example, I waited in line for a ride with my toddler, and when it was our turn, she was having a "moment" and sat down on the ground because she was grumpy from standing in line. The ability to walk is required for the ride, and the employee would not give us the moment required for her to recover and demonstrate her ability. I would never want to delay other riders, but we were told we could not ride, and the employee would not budge when I explained my child had walked for several months and just needed a minute because she was grumpy from standing in line. Another example I believe is relevant is the way my husband witnessed the same lid-restricting cashier treat young children yesterday. A few kids were enthusiastically buying (a couple each) the same "surprise" Mini-Figure packs that I purchased for my daughter from the Chandler store. The cashier chastised them for feeling the packaging, claiming it was against their store police to allow children to touch the packaging because it is cheating for them to attempt to discover which figure was inside. I'm including this last experience that our family witnessed because I think it sums up the overall murdering-of-children's-joy policy the Lego Discovery Center seems to operate under. I highly recommend the Chandler and Peoria stores for your lego needs! Even if your kids just want to play with Legos, I think the store experiences are superior! read more

Whoa! This place is cool! It brings out my inner child. I went in there a few months back with a couple friends and we sat in there and played with the legos. There are shelves and buckets of organized legos, and things that I never knew existed such as lego girl hair, something that would have really came in handy back when I played with legos on a more regular basis. read more

The LEGO Store is a fantastic place to visit. They have a lot of built sets on display, which makes it easier to drool over the premium building sets. One thing I love about The LEGO Store is you can build your own minifigs from pieces you select. To build three minifigs, the price is $9.99. Not bad, considering there are a lot of potential combinations. The employees are very knowledgeable and helpful. I buy most of my LEGO sets online, but this is one store in the mall you shouldn't miss. read more

I love this LEGO store! I come here every year to buy my families Christmas gifts. I was not pleased this year. The guy who was running the store today was a bit rude. He did fine up until check out. He asked as they do, if I was a vip member. I am so I started looking for my card. He waited until I got through the huge stack of them before telling me how much quicker it is for him to look it up by email. I started giving him my email, like I usually do every year, when I found the card. He scanned it and then gives me a lecture about how I need to follow the instructions on the card to register which is weird because when you search by my email there is no issues, but whatever. So then I finish paying and he writes on my receipt an app to download to put all my cards into. Dude if I wanted all my cards in an app I would have done it a long time ago. I would much rather say my phone number or email to all the businesses then deal with cards(even if they are on the phone), but I wait for you to ask. It didn't help that he was super rude and more than a little condescending for the entire purchase. But maybe it just wasn't his day. We love the LEGO store, and we spend a good amount of money here. What we don't love is bad customer service. Makes no sense to employ grumpy people that don't enjoy their jobs, especially in a toy store! Made me want to walk out and purchase elsewhere, however I have left Christmas shopping pretty last minute so I knew other stores were pretty picked over. I guess it's 5 stars. It's the only one in Arizona. I assume they stock most of the kits available now, there's a giant wall with bins of parts you can purchase by the cup (2 sizes), and lots on display (behind child-proof windows). The store is clean and adequately staffed. What else do you look for in a LEGO store? What else can be said about this place? It carries every type of lego you could possibly dream of. They have gift sets (so bring a wad of cash cause they are not cheap). This store used to be the only one in Arizona but this year there's another one open up in Glendale. Nice store and friendly employees, me and my kids have spend countless hours in this store and not to mention spending a lot of moolah as well :-) Two months ago I bught myself the Green Grocer and then last month it was discountinued. So glad that I pick it up before it went out of stock. They do have some nice PAB but it would be nice if they bring it some new parts every now and then.
