Had a terrible experience on Saturday, Sept 20/2025. Had a friend drop my for 15 minutes to visit us, as soon as he sat down, they entered us as a party of 6 and automatically charged 18% tip. Service was poor, food was mediocre and slow to arrive. I refused to leave the 18% tip. Jeah , Lennox Pub in downtown Vancouver is straight up old school feels'! This spot is mad lit, the go-to hangout for both locals and tourists. Smack dab in the middle of the city, this joint's perfect for kickin' back with a cold brew and vibin' with the crew. One of the dopest highlights of my visit was the music bingo night--mad hype! It added a fresh and lit twist to the evening, makin' it a real turn-up. The energy was wild, and it was a solid way to link up with other heads in the spot. But yo, I was hella bummed they stopped servin' food around 9 PM. I was mobbin' through downtown Vancouver, lookin' for more spots to grub, and that was a bit of a buzzkill. But hey, at least I could snag a brew and soak in the dope vibes. All in all, Lennox Pub is a bangin' spot for a night out, especially if you're into games like music bingo and love a live pub scene. I came here with a friend during their Happy Hour. We got the honey garlic wings and dry ribs to share. I found the dry ribs super dry. It was good that it came with honey bbq sauce. It helped a bit but still super dry. The honey garlic wings were on the other end of dryness. It was super saucy that they became kind of gross. Also they were super sweet and sticky to consume. Happy hours items $8 each and they had couple selections of cheap beers. They have a few big screen TVs hanging on the wall. Location wise, they are very centrally located in the core of the busy Granville street. About 8pm, a bouncer appears standing in front of the entrance. Probably to scare off the bad guys. Also note that when you walk into the restaurant, do not expect to be seated. You have to seat yourself and there are no signs mentioning about that. Service was ok. Food was not. Pricing are on the higher end. If you are coming for food, you are better off to go to a restaurant for slightly cheaper price. For example their chicken quesadilla is $18 and Cactus Club is $14 and etc. read more

Howdy folks. How's everyone on Planet Yelp doing? Well, it's time to go back to the bar. I'm on a roll with these bar reviews and this time were headed to a place called The Lennox Pub. Only it's not the Lennox in Los Angeles County. Oh no, no. It's located in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia. So strap on your safety belts and lets blast this ship off. The Lennox Pub is an Irish themed bar located in downtown Vancouver. It's actually very close to the Vancouver Art Gallery where film crews were shooting scenes for the television series "The Flash." Your's truly, Nasty Nathanial, was there earlier shooting my own video. I was actually conducting a Charter Of Rights audit of the production. So after an audit the first thing I wanted to do was have me a nice tasty beverage. I knew there was a bar close by after passing by there earlier. That place would turn out to be The Lennox Pub. I've always been drawn to Irish Pubs. It must be the Irish blood runnin' within' my veins. Most Irish Pubs I've been in have a friendly festive type environment. You know music coming from a jukebox and folks being jolly and gay. But that didn't seem to be the case here. Well, not entirely. Let me explain. It all started when I approached the entrance and I was greeted by a tall bearded man with a scowl of a look on his face. He reminded me of Lurch from the Adams Family, only with a beard. Assuming he was going to ask to see my ID, I started to reach in my pocket for my driver's license. That's when "Lurch" asked if I had any alcohol in my bag. What the f*** kind of a question is that? Normally I don't make it a point to go into bars with a backpack strapped to my back. But being that I had checked out of the hotel I had stayed at the previous night, and was going to another one out in Richmond, I had my backpack with me. Still I thought that was an odd question. Yeah Lurch I make it a point to tot bottles of liquor around the city. Whatever. So I make my way inside and find a seat up at the bar. It was pretty active inside. But not totally packed. After a few minutes a bartender, who looked like he could have been an Adam Levine impersonator, came over to take my drink order. When I told him a Margarita on the rocks, he just stated at me with this blank look on this face. For a second I thought he was going to ask me "what's that?" Could it be that Adam Levine is not familiar with what a margarita is? But then he turned and walked off. A few minutes later Adam Levine returned with my Margarita. I must say that it wasn't a bad concoction. But I wouldn't say that it was anything to write home about either. It definitely was no Ivanhoe Margarita. One thing I will say is that my bartender did remember to put salt on the rim. You know so many bartenders now fail to do that. It's like WTF people. That's like not putting the olive in a martini. Or lettuce in a Bloody Mary. Bartenders who fail to do this should be sent back to bar tending school. Come to think of it, many of them probably never even went to bar tending school to begin with. That's probably why they don't know to put salt on the rim when making a margarita. The atmosphere of the place seemed alive, but not totally alive. For example, there was no music being played. That was something that kind of threw me a bit. What kind of bar doesn't have music playing in it? Maybe in a bar in a retirement home. But even there I'm gonna assume that somebody would be bumpin' some Frank Sinatra. But this is a downtown Irish Pub. There definitely should be some music coming out of a jukebox or a behind the counter sound system. But nothing. Do they not like music at this place? Finally I got bored and decided to pay my bill and leave. The sad thing about this place is that it could've been more fun. It definitely had the potential to be groovy bar. I mean it was clean and well decorated. But the groovy Irish Pub vibe just wasn't there. It just really wasn't. Next time I think I'll just stick with the Ivanhoe Pub. That's why I'm gonna give this place 3 stars, or 5 fingers. And to be quite honest, I think that's being a bit generous. I hope ya all enjoyed this "Nasty" review. It's astounding to me that the IRISH pub in CANADA had the best POLISH food I've ever had. I'm talking about their pierogis. I barely got a picture before I devoured these. Came here to escape the Black Friday rush and had an excellent evening. We stayed for more than a drink because the place was so fun and the service was excellent. We ordered wine and fries. Their fries come freshly cut, thick, with tons of fresh flavour. The wine was excellent but even more was the server. Came here for a drink. Parking sucks here, so you may want to walk. The inside is your typical Irish themed joint, with lots of wood trim. The interior isn't too loud and it's quieter if you go upstairs. Decent place for a conversation. My one big complaint though - holy geez the beer here is expensive. $20 a pitcher!? This is one of the worst I've seen downtown. The fries are decent though, at $3. And they were somewhat tasty as well. They came with a dish of ketchup. Places like these are a dime a dozen downtown. While the place was decent, the value is a big one that stops me from coming back. read more

More of a 2.5 I really wanted to like this place, it was located in the heart of downtown, our server was so sweet (Ashley I think) and that's the reason I gave them 2.5 stars. They bragged that they had the best Irish coffee - and the boyfriend and I both agree! It was pretty damn good. What we weren't impressed with, however, was the food. We came for happy hour and got the wings and their black bean cigars. The wings were the smallest wings I've ever seen in my life! The cigars were like taquitos only they were baked.... think of something that you buy from the frozen section and heat up. For all the negative reviews about the food here, I feel compelled to review our experience here today at Happy Hour, as hubby and I only had the food here (no drinks), and our dishes were fantastic. Not passable.Not so-so. Not good. Not tasty. But truly fantastic. We shared the chicken wings with honey garlic sauce, and the mini egg rolls. We got SO much food for our money - way more than we had expected. For $6 each dish, we got a heaping plate of wings (at least 12. Probably more), and at least 12 egg rolls. And they were all fresh and delicious. The wings were perfectly cooked, and the sauce was great. The egg rolls were crispy and not greasy and the sweet chili sauce was excellent. The pub itself is genuinely reminiscent of a true Irish pub (for those of you who've been to the Emerald Isle). Very authentic. Not fancy. But real. Our server was terrific: attentive but not hovering. Looked like a great bar, but we didn't have drinks. We'd definitely return. read more

This certainly has the look and feel of what a lot of us have come to imagine as a typical Irish pub. Walking through the door, I immediately loved the layout and the decor. Clearly built to fit into one of the long, narrow business spaces in most downtown buildings, the front has the bar, a scattering of tables and a neat little elevated second level in the back for a bit more privacy, as well as a small fenced off patio out front. Kitchen is downstairs, so the juncture where the three levels meet is a neat architectural feature, I think. Disclaimer; on the occasions I've stopped by, I have only been in for drinks, so I cannot comment on the food beyond that it looks like pub fare that's been kicked up a few levels, and the customers around us who were eating did seem to enjoy their meals thuroughly. Now, as far as the drinks go, I noticed the selection was pretty good, though not huge. A nice selection of brews, and liquors too, though it appeared the price of those was just slightly in the more expensive side, at least to me. But really, I usually come to pubs like this for only two sorts of drinks anyway. The occasional whiskey, and of course, the black, foamy stuff whose name conjures up the very idea of Irish beer for many folks. (Fun Fact of the Day: The Guiness family were the main investors that spurred development of the Lions Gate Bridge here in Vancouver. One of, I think, the best looking bridges in the world.) But I digress... Service was good both sitting outside and at the bar. Parking, like most places in Vancouver, is pretty much restricted to surrounding pay lots or meters where you can find them. So this pub is probably best if you are already out sightseeing, having a night in the entertainment district, or the hours before or after a game at nearby BC Place. After a quick skim of Yelp reviews here I decided to pass on the pub-food entrées and ordered a dish of fries for $7 and a very sweet Kentucky Bourbon Brownie with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream for $9. Fries were fries but I'd probably look for another dessert next time. Really wanted to like our blonde server but it didn't look like she was in a happy mood. Didn't come across welcoming, made no suggestions, had to be reminded to bring our waters we asked for when we first sat down. She presented us the bill with an auto-gratuity of 18% for our group of 6, so we had her break down the bill for us to pay individually. I paid for mine on AmEx and as she was charging my friend's card - I spotted that my automatic-tip was higher than my $7 plate of French fries. I pointed this out to the server that my automatic tip was almost 50% of my bill. She apologized saying that was somehow the computer register's calculations. I always thought computer registers do what humans tell them to do. Anyway, she left and came back with $4.50 in change instead of crediting my AmEx. read more

What a shame- great atmosphere, great service, great beer selection! So why only a 2 star review.... The food was not meant for human consumption! I get it- bar food is just that. But I would have preferred buying a gas station rotten sandwich. We ordered "black bean cigars" and a "spinach & artichoke" dip. The two were absolutely terrible. Zero flavor. Zero fresh ingredients. Tasted like they were prepared 2 weeks ago and this is what was left! I walked in thinking it would be a great place to get a quick bite with a few beers before our concert. Place was packed with old & young. The hint should have been- people were only drinking! I guess the locals already knew to eat first! The biggest red flag was prior to leaving, an employee who was not working came in with someone and sat next to me at the bar. (I know she was an off shift employee because she and the bartender were talking about their hours the next day and who was covering shifts.) They ordered their drinks and when they were offered food, the employee said "No we ate before we came in!" Yikes! Even the employees don't eat the food! We didn't plan to go here but a wet day led us by the hand and boy were we pleased. The service was terrific. Jamie, our bartender, was very good at her job. She also pours a perfect pint of Guinness. I learned that she actually went to Guinness in Dublin to study the craft. We ordered their Beef Carpaccio and also the chicken tenders with several sauces. The food was delicious. Every dish that passed by looked better than the one before. The owner mixed effortlessly with his customers. He stopped by for a nice chat. A great experience! read more

Stopped in to catch the US vs Ghana World Cup match and we grabbed some seats at the bar right as the match was set to begin. The bartender was friendly and made decent recommendations to the patrons next to us from what I could tell. One note, you probably want to specify if you want a "Canadian" beer, and if you want a "Canadian Beer" since one or the other may get you two completely different types of brews. There's a couple of levels to the place and with it comes to a relative wealth of seating around. The pub never got overwhelmingly full as it seemed most were able to get seats, and servers roamed fairly steadily around the tables. Grabbed a couple of beers on tap so I can't say how the drinks were, but the pints were priced moderately. If anything, it seemed maybe slightly higher, but hard to say without knowing the exact exchange rate. Either way, even if it is slightly higher, it's not by very much. Pretty chill vibe overall, so not a bad place to drop in and grab a pint with some lunch. They do have an extensive food menu for a pub in comparison to others that I've been to, but didn't end up ordering anything off of that either. There was a handful of items that managed to catch my eye, but can't say as to how anything tasted. It's on Granville, but towards the end, so definitely doesn't get as busy as some other venues down the street. Another Irish pub on Granville Street, just what Vancouver needs right? Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. My friend dragged me here for a drink after work, and I should have guessed by the lack of clientelle that this place was lame. First off, it was a backtrack to the 90's with the music selection, I guess I was expecting more current music since Granville is one of the "trendy" areas downtown. Our server was okay, kind of bland and forgettable, much like the food. I ordered the potato skins, since I was feeling like greasy pub fare, except the only thing on the potato skins was diced tomatos and a tiny amount of cheese. I'm not gonna lie, I was expecting something a bit more substantial for $11. I could have ordered a veggie sandwhich with fries for $11, not just a crap-atizer! The drinks were just as bad. We each ordered a cesar, which some places consider to be a highball. Apparently not at the Lennox though, they were $7.50 each! I can get a double for less than that at other pubs! In any case, I doubt I will be back to the Lennox anytime soon. My disappointment with the food and prices will not be forgotten. read more

Not a fan of closing at midnight! We were only there for about a half hour before we were ushered out. The pub is two levels, and the lower level was jam-packed so we went upstairs. I thought there would be another bar up there, but nope. The waitresses have to go up and down the flights of stairs -- constantly! I felt bad for them. And it is riDICulously hot there. It felt like a sauna because there's no ventilation. Whose brilliant idea was that? Is that even like, safe? Everyone's body heat certainly didn't help either. Due to it's location at one of Vancouver's busiest intersections, it is home to a great blend of tourists, local drop-ins, and regulars. The patio is one of the great people watching perches in all of Vancouver. You truly see all types. The staff is always super friendly and effective. The menu is very diverse for a local pub. I have to admit that I usually stuck to the burgers. But my friends ate a wide range of dishes. The food was always freshly prepared and with more care that you usually expect from a pub. They have a good (but not huge selection of beers). The ambiance is pretty much a basic pub. It is pretty large. There are two levels. I always preferred sitting on the patio though. and if not, then on the main level. The top level felt a little tight. This is just a great pub to spend an evening at with friends. read more

Sitting in his little sweet spot in the middle of big time city... with its wall to wall people, congestion and noise. However, I found the Lennox a great little spot to chill and watch the world to by. The patio is small but the pints are big and the prices decent for downtown. You can't go wrong with this place. One could expect an irish pub on Granville street, the very center of Vancouver, to be overpriced and serving bellow average food but this is the complete opposite. Very reasonably priced food and very tasty! We came in here during lunch time to catch the game between Sweden and Finland (IIHF 2015) but found that none of the TVs were showing this particular game. The waitress was very nice to switch the channel. Overall a very good experience, above my expectations. Recommended! read more

Pop quiz, hotshot. Is the Lennox an Irish bar or an English bar? The answer: neither. Because it takes more than to slap a few shamrocks around and sell Guinness to make it Irish. Our bars have warmth and charm, the craic, you know? I imagine the only chance of getting any craic here is if someone is selling it on the street outside. The bartenders and waitress act like they went to a Gulag charm school. They also look like rejects from an Earls recruitment drive. All the right blonde hair but no sparkle. You couldn't find any buachailli or cailini in Vancouver to work here? Hell, even an Aussie would help! So Irish, no, not so much. I'd say an airport Irish bar in Hong Kong has more chance of being authentic. So, the question is, can it be called an English bar? Since you are showing hockey on all the big screens, no. Come on, give us some concessions and show football at least. I am well aware that I am liable to incur some wrath for this review, and to those I say, bring it! We have one Canadian bar in London and dammit, if they don't make the effort to be Canadian! read more

The TVs are small and cheap. Too bad because watching sports is the main reason to be in here. The food is priced too high to trust there might be value in the exchange so... Beer! After a day or so in Vancouver, I pretty much felt at home. There are so many Irish pubs (and decent pubs, at that) that I could pretty much get my taters and whiskey on anywhere within a walking radius of my hotel. I have to yet to try the Irish Snug (that's what they used to call me in highschool, heh) but the Lennox was great. It was spacious, classy and the assortment of liquor was quite wonderful. It's a full service bar with pub food, although unfortunately I had already eaten. It's a very relaxed, down home vibe and you can the tell the bartenders don't have time or the patience for stupid people, or stupid questions. It was an adult bar, even though it's situated in a the land of giant hamburgers, pitchers and toga parties (maybe it was just the weekend I was here, but there was definitely a party town atmosphere going on). It's really a great place to make friends, sit at the bar and drink a Guinness. Or chocolate martini, which I may have to get before I leave ;-) read more
