INTENTIONAL FALSE ADVERTISING!!! They refused to honour, even though this is at the front door!! UNBELIEVABLE!!
    DW S.

FALSE ADVERTISING, subpar food (if they're not out of the first three things I ordered, the first being the advertised wings), lackluster service at best! Sign at front door CLEALY said they have drink specials, then when I ask why I didn't receive the advertised price the waitress just tossed down a handbill saying 9pm-12am Sun-Thurs, and she then flat out REFUSED to honour the advertised price, even after I pointed out that it's quite clearly advertised at the front door, she could care less, absolutely disgusting and dishonest! Tried ordering food, she said OK, then came back saying each time they were out, so I ordered the cheese stick app; small portion , just warm, and bland... sooo I'm going to say BLAND and outright DISHONEST sun up this excuse for a restaurant.

Great place to view the water and people watch during the day while enjoying the a beer. They were out of Guinness on Sunday. Must have been a crazy Friday and Saturday to be out of a beer that's on your signage. Our server was extremely sweet and accommodating.

I've tried to come to this pub a couple times, but they're VERY strict with checking IDs and I never had two pieces of ID on me (I was usually out for a walk) to go in. Finally I got a chance to try this spot out a couple of Saturdays ago. My group of 4 came around 6:30 pm and there was no wait. None of us were hungry, so we had a couple of drinks and snacks. The food menu here is pretty limited and is standard pub fare (fries, sandwiches, fish & chips, etc.). I tried two of their cocktails ($10 each), the P.S. i love you and stray bullet, and both were just okay. The P.S. i love you wasn't as sweet as I was hoping, and the stray bullet was very tart. For food, I went with the clam chowder ($15), but honestly it was very underwhelming. It didn't even come with bread; I had to pay an extra $2 for some toast on the side. All in all, I'm glad I was finally able to try out this spot, but I don't think I'll be back again.

    Tempura Cod Tacos

Came here for a late lunch during happy hour. Drinks were fairly priced for a happy hour - my margarita (delicious) was $10 and my partners Pilsner was $5.50. For food we got the Tempura Cod Tacos and the Short Rib Dip. The cod was fresh, the veggies were crunchy & the hot sauce gave it a nice kick. The sandwich was tasty - the au jus was a pretty runny but that wasn't an issue, and the greens on the sandwich were refreshing. The fries were good, a bit on the lukewarm side but still very tasty. Wish the bun was a little more crispy but it overall tasted great. The staff were helpful and quick, and took my peanut allergy seriously (thank you!). If you can, try to get a seat in the window overlooking English Bay. We'll be back!

Excellent pub located in the heart of English Bay. We did enjoy a great deal the happy hour with the excellent service offered by Sofie . The white wine was exquisite and extremely affordable and the selections oh appies as edamame, mozzarella sticks and dirty fries are very delicious . A place to go back anytime. We had a blast with also the beautiful view and they are very good in following the social distance protocol and sanitization.

Night cap: lager + Monday night special on an old fashioned
    Neha D S.

Stopped in for a late night drink and was delighted to find a Monday night special that had a discount on drinks (I think it was for between 12:00 am to 4 am or so )‍ , especially my go to: an old fashioned . Didn't know they're open till 2 am on weekdays and later still on weekends . I will be back to explore their food and drinks further and really soak in the vibe , hopefully on a nice sunny day .

Happy Hour drink menu Weekdays 3-6pm Got a nice patio area where you can enjoy the sun and enjoy the views. Food menu is reasonably priced. Mask is recommended but not mandatory (none of the servers wore them). Menu and payment was all electronic and done through a QR code, which thought was pretty cool.

We had an amazing time here dining at The Three Brits. The food was unreal and the drinks were amazing. Definitely worth checking this place out! The staff were great too.

Visit here and across the street upstairs for water views in a happening park area. Recommended by a bar tender.

Our server suggested that, because it was happy hour, a pitcher would be cheaper and save us money. I specifically asked how many ounces the pitcher was and was told 32 oz, which sounded reasonable since we planned to get 15 oz beers. When the pitcher arrived, it was clearly 64 oz. The server apologized for the mistake, and I let it go, thinking we didn't have to drink it all. However, when the bill arrived, the price didn't match the quote. We were charged $25, not the $20 we were originally told when the 64-oz pitcher showed up, with the explanation that the regular price was $35 and that we had "saved" money. In the end, we were served twice the beer we wanted and paid twice what we intended, based on information that kept changing. Whether this was incompetence or intentional, it left me feeling frustrated and uncomfortable. The food and atmosphere really were great -- but the experience was overshadowed by feeling manipulated. Enjoy the food and beer, but pay close attention to what the wait staff tells you and what ends up on the bill.

Firstly when we arrived nobody greeted us for I would say about 10 minutes even though the place was quite empty when we arrived, and when we finally received a table we were seated at a table that was wobbly, and the menus we received were stained and sticky, which got me immediately on edge about hygiene and made me uncomfortable. For drinks selection - nothing special that you can't get anywhere else, and the place being quite empty the vibe was quite boring too. I just felt uncomfortable being there and there isn't anything special about this pub that you can't get better anywhere else. We finished the one drink that we got and headed elsewhere. I wouldn't recommend this spot.

Features bar seating, booths, comfy chairs with fireplace, and an upper level with large table seating for big groups. Had many a great night here over many years as it provided a nice respite from all the crazy nightclub activity on Granville St. Sadly, they will be closing soon and will be dearly missed. The memories of the Morrissey Pub will live on in those who frequented it, and I will cherish mine.

This corner spot is neatly tucked away with a few outdoor seating spots, but the magic in itself is inside. The mix of vintage and old glam showcases the hybrid aesthetic. Perfectly described, The Ballyhoo definitely lives up to the over-the-top decor from their food offerings and styling. I managed to find myself arriving within happy hour and was super please I was able to bring my laptop out and get some work done without it causing anyone a fuss. The server I had was super friendly and she had all the tables she was handling in good spirit. After opting for a local draft beer and some bites, I kept over hearing how delicious the mozz sticks were. Now IDK how one levels up mozzarella sticks, but these truly were some of the best I've ever had. The dipping sauce was super spicy but bearable for anyone's heat preference and the breading and cheese inside had such a burst of flavor you wanted to simply inhale them. What had me in awe though was the cheese pull game. No need to fear about them being overdone not cooked enough, these babies were cooked to perfection with the cheese literally oozing out of each bite. I saw a few plates being served around and think this spot is definitely worth exploring.
