So bad it is as if half the patrons have never heard of deodorant in their entire lives. I get that it's not nice to tell your customers to make themselves not smell like death, but it also isn't nice to have your customers work out in stench so pervasive that you could cut through the haze in the air with a knife. Not the gyms fault that its clients have no sense of hygiene, but it is their fault for not telling them they smell like ass.

I started going to the gym (another gym) earlier this year but I didn't know what I was doing and would just go around the gym trying different machines. Then I switched to pro fit and saw results immediately. I saw more progress in one month with pro fit than the previous 3-4 months at the other gym! And I'm not even exaggerating. I love that they would put up a workout on the board for me each time I come in and would try to squeeze me in when I couldn't make my usual time. Everyone was really friendly and would greet me each time I went in, and I was pleasantly surprised that all the trainers learned my name. I worked mostly with Chris and he was amazing! I I remember I could not run for more than 2 miles comfortably right before joining pro fit, and three months after, I can comfortably run 6-7 miles and broke my personal record again and again without intentionally trying to improve my running stats. I'm training for a half marathon, and that to me three months ago was unimaginable. They also have a body scale that breaks down your muscle mass and fat mass by arms/legs/etc, which has been really helpful in tracking progress. I had the silver package for three months and they are not cheap. But I'm still very glad that I tried them out and imo it was a small price to pay to get into better shape and more importantly develop habits that will help me with my workouts in the future!! 100/10 would recommend - I wish I could give them more than 5 stars

They have an incredible selection, and many of the machines target your legs from different angles. I've been coming to Seattle for work for the past 4-5 years, and whenever I'm here--whether it's for a day, a week, or a few months--this is where I train. My only wish is that they had sleds and trap bars. Other than that, it's an excellent gym. I jokingly call it the "John Wick gym" because of the lighting, but it definitely grows on you.

I'm a morning goer and Jacob is always there to open on time. He does an awesome job keeping everything organized and making sure the gym is always in top shape, where there's been times where he's already picked up and organized my weights before I even get back to my superset. You can tell he genuinely takes pride in the gym and making sure everyone has a great experience. At the end of the day, it's the people and the atmosphere that keep me coming back. Great place to train with an employee base that wants their members to love the experience and keep coming back.

POV: my trainer was based her for a couple of years so visited NW strong more than my home gym but…read morewas never a member here. NW strong is a great option for a no-frills weight-lifting focused gym in Belltown. This place is stacked to the brim with equipment. There are as many squat racks as you can fit in a space like this (9?) and about a dozen benches and tons of options for dumbbells and kettlebells. More than you will see in many much larger gyms. There are also other kinds of equipment like air bike, rower, ski erg, treadmill, bands, sled, TRX straps, and I'm sure some things I'm forgetting. It's a compact footprint and Trevor has done an outstanding job efficiently equipping it to the max. The trainers I've observed here have all be high quality with their own unique style. There is also more of a community here than I think you get with some of the bigger gyms around. From a female perspective I will say that the clientele here is mostly men. There have been many times where the gym was packed and I was the only female present. That said, people here are nice, and respectful overall and it's a good spot to work out. If I lived closer, I'd consider being a member here. I would say the two downsides that may or may not impact you personally are that there is no locker room or shower to speak of (typical commercial building bathrooms shared by multiple tenants in the building) and the space would benefit from a few fans or stronger AC. This is fine 10 months of the year but it can get very stuffy and humid in the hottest days of the summer.

READ ME 1. Trever,…read morethe owner, is very responsive and kind. 2. The gym is very clean, especially since Trever uses meyers cleaning solutions (smells great!). 3. The gym has a wide varied of equipment and free weights. 4. The gym is well-lit 5. Music selection is good, but not too loud if you're using headphones Conclusion: My girlfriend and I are from out of town and come from a private gym. NorthWest Strong, especially Trever, were very welcoming and accommodating when it came to having us train to prep for our powerlifting meets. If I ever come to Seattle again this would be our "go-to" gym for training. Thank you Trever and NorthWest Strong for having us .

I've…read moremade way more progress toward my body composition and strength goals than I ever have before, and it's been so much easier to stay consistent than I expected. I really like that the coaching is about more than just the workouts. It includes nutrition, strength training, cardio, and other healthy habits, all tailored to my specific lifestyle and goals. The programming is personalized, continually evolves as I improve, and has enough variety that I never get bored. It also takes away the mental load of figuring everything out myself, which is honestly one of my favorite parts. Somehow, Alec makes it easy to work hard without it feeling like a chore, and I genuinely look forward to my sessions every week! One of the biggest differences has been how involved Alec is outside of the workouts themselves. He's always available to answer questions, adjust the plan, and help me stay on track. That ongoing support and accountability have made a huge difference. I'd definitely recommend them!!

He made me feel comfortable and at ease from the beginning, and never like I should already know what I was doing. Alec is very knowledgeable and attentive, and adapts the training to where I am and what I need rather than taking me through a standard routine. He notices the effort I'm putting in and is encouraging about it, while always giving constructive feedback on what I can improve. He's also fun to be around, supportive without being pushy, and keeps me motivated without making things intimidating. He's helped beyond the workouts too, putting together a personalized nutrition plan and helping me approach fitness as something sustainable. I've always felt he's genuinely invested in my progress. Overall, something that was completely unfamiliar to me now feels surprisingly natural. I feel much more comfortable in the gym than I ever expected to, and I actually enjoy going. My goal was to make this a lifelong habit, and I feel like I'm on the right path. I'd definitely recommend Alec to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, attentive trainer who's also genuinely fun to work with.
