The fitness instructors, Chris and John were really nice and enthusiastic to help us lose weight and get fit. They asked us what our fitness goals were and we shared what we hoped to gain from the classes. In the 28 days, I went about 60% of the time. I wish they had a gym in North Seattle because the Queen Anne location is a bit of a drive for me, especially during high traffic time (6:15 p.m. class). There is plenty of parking at this facility. I really enjoyed the week day classes inside the gym. It doesn't get so crowded that you stand around. Both John and Chris were really great in helping us have the right posture while doing each work out routine so that we wouldn't insure ourselves. You end up doing a lot of squats and stomach exercises. During the first few classes, I was sore beyond belief. It really helped strengthen my muscles. On the weekends, you meet at a park in Queen Anne. While we worked out, we also played games. This was both entertaining and a great opportunity to become more in shape. The only minor critique I have is that their pricing structure is a bit steep. For those who don't have a great amount of disposable income, $100+ per month (can't remember the exact amount) is really expensive. I understand that gym memberships are expensive but this is on the pricier side. If you do the math, it is more than $1,000 a year for exercise classes. There is class pass offered in the Seattle area for $79, which gives you access to many different gyms around the city. I am aware that they have promotions but it only lasts for a limited amount of time. Aside from their pricing, I'd say that their instructors and facilities are top notch. I thoroughly enjoyed taking work out classes here. Oh yah, I forgot to mention that the recipes that the gym sends out are great. They email healthy recipes to those on their email chain. My friend who attends Ian, tried out a couple of dishes and really liked it.

What it has is a picture of Ian when he was 10. Why would anyone not looking for a middle school yearbook give a $*it about that? You'll have to ask him. It also has a bunch of before-after pictures of people who supposedly got results. Speaking of which... I called 3 times in the past week and each time got a voicemail that tried too hard to appear jovial. No one returned my calls. I don't know whether the people that train there are telepaths, or they actually stopped by in person just to get a brochure, but the cheesy website, fake voicemail greeting and non-existing customer service killed it for me.

He has taken me on a journey of physical growth that has helped me do and accomplish things I never thought were possible. If you are looking for a trainer to help you achieve your fitness goals, Mike G is the best. He is an amazing trainer. I've been working with Mike for 18 months and throughout that time he has helped me achieve goals that I never thought possible. I have lost weight and fat, put on lean muscle and overcome health issues through exercise and diet. Throughout he has been patient and compassionate but hasn't let me slack off and has always pushed me to get to that next level. As I've advanced, Mike has taken the time to help me define/redefine my goals and to understand what I need to do to advance my health and fitness. I always look forward to training to see what I can accomplish. I never imagined that I could do the things I do and feel and look the way I do now, but thanks to Mike, I know anything is possible. I LOVE Cambio Fitness, and Mike is an absolutely AMAZING trainer. I have always been intimidated by going to the gym and training at Cambio is has given me a new found confidence. Mike has not only gotten me into MUCH better shape and taught me correct form, but also explains what and why we do what we do. I had never worked with a personal trainer, or even lifted weights before meeting him, and now I feel like a boss. He is a very supportive, holistic trainer- and has even helped me with nutrition, without being too stuffy. I lost 60pounds in my first year working with Mike of Cambio Fitness as my personal trainer. And I've maintained that ever since. The secret? Simple hard work, diet, exercise and following Mike's advise. Anyone needing to loose as much weight as I is bringing along a few personal issues. Frankly I've not been in a gym since the last mandatory high school gym class. Great gym and both Mike and Nick are super nice. I've been training with Nick for the past 2 months, and I am seeing great results. Nick is an excellent trainer. He has a thorough and extensive knowledge of health, nutrition, and fitness. He focuses on a customized set of exercises for my needs and easily adjusts to address any problem areas. Nick also guides you on a healthy diet. But, like a good trainer, he always pushes me to do more than I would by myself. I've been working out with Mike for almost one year now. Its difficult for me to put into words how fortunate I feel to have found such a fantastic trainer (and overall life motivator) who is easy to talk to and so very knowledgeable at his craft. Mike at Cambio is a great trainer! I am a 60+ woman who was not confident with working out and struggled with some basic skills in balance and coordination. I looked on exercise as a chore. Mike changed that . I now enjoy coming to the gym and have seen real progress. The gym is small and fairly private. Comfortable and challenging. Likewise, he set me up at the beginning with a game plan that included macros, knowledge, a workout plan, and a great recipe book. He's also great about adapting our plans to fit into what I love: tennis and Orangetheory and was able to help me find a great running plan app to improve in that area as well. My running pace went from a 8:30 min mile to a 7:15 min mile and distance went from 3 to 4.5 miles. Likewise, I feel like my tennis game has improved from my ability to physically compete harder and longer. His online coaching plan also comes with access to the Dojo, which is a great private Facebook group, that has great information, motivation, recipes, and much more from other clients. I also love the Youtube videos that he produces. They are mini information digests for recipes, tips, and motivation. I also occasionally popped into his group fitness classes. I normally play tennis and do Orangetheory classes for my workouts, but I LOVE coming to his classes to mix it up. They have awesome themes (Kestrel run, Ninja, etc) and are tough. He is great with displaying great form, correcting form, and giving alternatives for injuries. I occasionally have issues with my shoulder and he explained to me how to alter the exercise and change my form to make the movement better and not hurt my shoulder. The ONLY reason I don't do the group fitness plan is due to my work being far away; however, I make the time every few weeks because I love them. If you need ANY fitness help then Jef is your man. Being part of his online coaching and fitness classes has been amazing and I definitely recommend the online coaching or his in person group classes. He's a great guy that's friendly, excited, motivational, and will take what he knows and will help you get to your goals. I look forward to continue working with him. :)

NW strong is a great option for a no-frills weight-lifting focused gym in Belltown. This place is stacked to the brim with equipment. There are as many squat racks as you can fit in a space like this (9?) and about a dozen benches and tons of options for dumbbells and kettlebells. More than you will see in many much larger gyms. There are also other kinds of equipment like air bike, rower, ski erg, treadmill, bands, sled, TRX straps, and I'm sure some things I'm forgetting. It's a compact footprint and Trevor has done an outstanding job efficiently equipping it to the max. The trainers I've observed here have all be high quality with their own unique style. There is also more of a community here than I think you get with some of the bigger gyms around. From a female perspective I will say that the clientele here is mostly men. There have been many times where the gym was packed and I was the only female present. That said, people here are nice, and respectful overall and it's a good spot to work out. If I lived closer, I'd consider being a member here. I would say the two downsides that may or may not impact you personally are that there is no locker room or shower to speak of (typical commercial building bathrooms shared by multiple tenants in the building) and the space would benefit from a few fans or stronger AC. This is fine 10 months of the year but it can get very stuffy and humid in the hottest days of the summer.

But i'll continue to see Bob as long as I can! He's motivating, encouraging and makes workouts fun. He's flexible to your schedule and fast to reply if any changes arise.
