OUR PICK: We called three glass companies and received three competitive estimates. We narrowed the choice to Dependable Glass in North Phoenix, for five reasons: 1. 4.9 Google rating; 2. 4.6 Yelp rating; 3. The professional and pleasant way they answered their phone; 4. They took adequate time to answer our questions about their products and services; 5. We were not rushed to make a purchase decision. THE ESTIMATOR: Dependable Glass sent John, the estimator, to our home to measure the subject window pane. He was on time, very friendly, spoke clearly, and answered all our questions without hesitation. Additionally, he assured us the installation would be performed only by Dependable Glass employees (not third-party installers). He also said the quality of work by the window installers would be A+ and come with guaranteed customer satisfaction. We received an all-inclusive price estimate that was straightforward and easy-to-read. Dependable Glass estimator guaranteed the price would not fluctuate before or during the window pane installation (no upselling). THE OFFICE: A few weeks after making a deposit, the replacement pane was delivered to Dependable Glass from the manufacturer. After that, I received a call from "MICHELLE" to select an installation date. Unfortunately, a couple of weeks before her call, my elderly wife suffered a severe in-home fall that required surgery and a hospital stay of nearly 30 days. I asked Michelle if it was possible to delay the installation until after my wife arrived home. To my pleasant surprise, Michelle said Dependable Glass would be happy to delay the installation for a month, or until we were ready. (That is GREAT service!) She verbalized her compassion about the falling accident, and that REALLY HELPED me during a difficult time. As promised, Michelle called back in 30 days to see if we were ready to book an installation date, and we were. THE INSTALLERS: The installers - James and Ethan - arrived on time, and they were well-prepared with all the required tools and components. They were one of the most pleasant installation teams I have every encountered. They were polite, respectful of the property, and they took the time to answer a few pre- and post-installation questions. James and Ethan went the "extra mile" with a special request. I wanted the large wooden Venetian blinds covering the subject window to be permanently removed before the new window pane was installed (I was unable to remove the heavy blinds due to physical disability). Without hesitation, James and Ethan completely removed the blinds for me (thank you!). After the pane was installed, the two gentlemen removed all stickers and washed the inside and outside glass to a beautiful shine. Wow! What a difference it makes to look at the backyard through clear, quality glass. WOULD WE USE DEPENDABLE GLASS AGAIN OR RECOMMEND THEM? Absolutely YES! We were very impressed with the entire process from start to finish. Everyone we spoke with at the company was pleasant and eager to provide us with excellent products and services. Everyone conveyed a feeling of "trust," which placed us at ease. Therefore, after today's installation, we had another large fogged-up window measured for replacement. I am confident we will receive the same high-quality service and product for this project, as well.

My wife ask Steve about the stability of the glass for cleaning purposes and his response to her was "not to have sex in the shower." My wife was uncomfortable with this response and I am furious!! When I spoke to John his verbatim statement to me, as he chuckled, was "he was sorry Steve did a bad job reading the room." Needless to say, he did not, in anyway, show remorse for his employees distasteful and sexist behavior! Why he thought it was a laughing matter is beyond me! I am not sure what room John thinks it's appropriate for his employee to discuss sex with another man's wife but beware that this behavior is not frowned upon but a laughing matter to Dependable Glass ownership. If you are looking for a company that is going to send a man to your home who wants to discuss sex with your wife and where she should/shouldn't have it, Dependable Glass is right for you. I am baffled by this companies sexist behavior and lack of willingness to see the issue in their behavior! It's evident, management does not care about how their employees conduct themselves in the field. This companies behavior is disgusting and I would strongly encourage others to select another company, especially those who value your spouse!

The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is the finish work . The "header" is a slightly different color than the doors, when I asked why I was told it was due to different types of wood. The other problem I don't particularly like about the finish work is the way they plugged the holes they needed to drill to attach the header. I had several estimates but Krasiva, although not the lowest Jeff presented as the most trustworthy company. I reviewed Jeff earlier in year and came right back to him when ready to get project done. He came back out and we got paperwork done. Dustin came out and measured. They were both very informative about the whole project and estimate of when job would be done. I learned about door frames and stuff I don't remember now, but they do the job to insure its sound construction. Communication was great. Yelonda in office called or emailed to keep me updated, give me information and answer my questions. Never did I have to reach out more than once to get an answer. That says a lot about a company and how they treat their customers. I felt valued and respected. I also think the company owner and management has to be treating these folks well which trickles down to customers. It finally came to day for installation, Thursday July 23rd. Dustin and I believe it was Glennis arrived a little early ready to work. The electrician came shortly after and installed light fixture I purchased. Then door install began. Not sure how they worked the long hours they did with it something like 110 out, but they got things done. Dustin came back next day for several hours to finish up, it was only to be 116 that day. I'd also purchased a keyless entry deadbolt that he put in. They got everything accomplished and it looked great. Everything was cleaned up and my door was now there. Monday Spencer came and painted. I purchased the type of paint recommended for door and had it match my exterior. (I'm in a HOA community. Door is behind gate and barely can see top and light fixture from street, but I followed HOA guidelines). Just had whole door and frame done in same color. If you prefer different trim color you just get different color, but I'm fine with it all matching rest of house. Inside it "pops" on white wall. Spencer did a great job and door looks flawless. If you need a door installed call these folks. Any extra money you may spend will be well worth it. Knowing they followed city codes and building codes, did the necessary work to insure the job was done right. They even checked with my HOA if needed approval, which I did have to have. They did what was needed to make things strong and secure with no corner cutting. I think the door will last for many years to come. Couple other companies were kind of wishy washy on if need to follow all codes, and need of HOA approval, and it made me feel uncomfortable. I wanted to be sure nothing would come up down the road that some part of job wasn't right or maybe a hazard. Overall a great experience. These folks were always polite, respectful and friendly. Had a few nice conversations with Dustin and Spencer. Close to my generation. Oh, they had terrific music playing too, tunes I remember. Again call Krasiva if you need doors or windows. Jeff had told me Krasiva means Beautiful in Russian. And my door is definitely Krasiva.

The short version is that they came to evaluate my front door, and ended up fixing it on the spot…read more So far (it's been over a week now) the door is closing better, more easily. Really 4.5 stars. There was some difficultly with communication that required some persistence on my part. But that only rates a 1/2 star reduction because he did eventually schedule me in. The long version follows: We have had problems with the front door for some time. And it seemed to be getting worse over the years. We had someone out several years ago, and they only put additional stripping on the jamb. This year the door sweep appeared to be wearing out (again), and the new one didn't want to mount (it was too thick). Checking reviews I called Precision Fit (Jason). After a few fumbled communications, Jason put me in his calendar. From then on the communication was good. He showed up to evaluate my door. I had sent him photos, and he thought he might have to remove the entire door frame and redo it. But he wanted to see it for himself, and was going to be in the area. To my surprise, when he showed up he said something along the lines of "I can do this now". Next thing I know he's moved the hinges, and shimmed a bit, and replaced the weather stripping, and even lowered the threshold so the sweep doesn't drag so much. Plus he drove longer screws into the frame to hold the hinges better. When he was done the door opened and closed better, and there were no light leaks around the door. Previously what clued me in to the problem was light leaks both at the top-left and lower-right of the door. Those are now gone. And he didn't have to rip the frame out. He still could have done that, and I wouldn't have known that it wasn't necessary. But he spent about 1-2 hours, fixed the problem, and saved me money compared to the more expensive procedure of remounting a door frame. So I recommend this service. They are honest and only do the work that is needed, and they appear to do it right. Post-script: It turns out that I called Precision Fit six years ago, but it wasn't Jason then. I remember a middle-aged man who didn't really impress me. He's the one who added thicker weather stripping and said not much else could be done. Jason proved him wrong.
