For a special occasion, we stopped by for dinner. The restaurant is located in the same strip center that has Outback Steakhouse. It's just south of Tampa Rd. on the west side of US19 in Palm Harbor. The interior is upscale. As we sat down, we were served a dinner roll and some of their compound butter. For starters, we shared the Fried Argentinian Shrimp & Artichokes. It was wonderful. It came with a nice dipping sauce. I would definitely recommend. We both had their version of a Caesar Salad with added anchovies. For entrées, we both ordered their specials of the day. We got the Chilean Sea Bass and their Veal Osso Buco. The Sea Bass was nicely cooked and had a bell pepper coulis. The Osso Buco was served on a bed of risotto. The service was friendly and speedy. As a heads-up, they only have iced tea in plastic bottles. Most diners ordered wine with their meals. The owner was nice enough to speak to everyone at the end of the evening.

One of my new favorite restaurants. This place is in a strip mall, very unassuming looking. I found it based on the Yelp reviews so we decided to check it out. I honestly can't name another restaurant in Palm Harbor, but really this is the only one I need. A couple days before I found a reservation on Open Table for 7:30 p.m. I highly recommend making a reservation. This place is small. There was one table for two open, but otherwise it was fully booked. Even though it doesn't look like much outside, inside it's very nice. The clientele did seem to be older retirees, but now that I'm older myself I no longer care what the rest of the restaurant looks like. They have a lot of specials. This isn't the case of a restaurant that only has what's on the menu. Our waitress was great at telling us the prices as she listed each off menu item. She did it all off the top of her head, which was very impressive. Unfortunately, they were out of the lobster bisque (an off menu item) when I tried to order it, so we stuck with the Wild Mushroom Tart, Penne Vodka, Duck A L'Orange and Tiramisu for dessert. Everything was very decadent. The Wild Mushroom Tart was small, but it tasted like the pastry was made from scratch. It was very creamy. I wish I saved my bread to dip into that cream sauce. The Penne Vodka has a kick to it, but was also delicious. My husband really enjoyed it. The Duck A L'Orange was a lot bigger than I was expecting. It was tender and great as well, but I'll probably try something different next time. The Tiramisu was very decadent as well. It randomly had a slight mint taste to me. I liked it, but I would also try a different dessert next time. They have a great selection of port. I actually got port with dessert, which I almost never do, but I was craving it. Prices are very reasonable for this type of dining experience. With tax and tip we left spending about $150 (we had two glasses of wine too). I was very impressed with the evening altogether. The chef even comes out to greet every table. This is one of those places that I'll have to bring my dad next time he's in town. I think he'd enjoy it.

Fabulous fine dining Place not to be missed. I called and left a message to request a reservation for Friday night to celebrate a big anniversary. Massimo himself phoned me back to confirm the reservation. We had the mushroom tart and the duck appetizer, a plate of pasta with butter and fresh pepper. Entrée was the veal chop and filet mignon both came accompanied with delightful, fresh vegetables and a fabulous mashed potatoes. Do not miss the bread and the fine butter that they made with truffles and spices is fantastic. Lemon cello cake for dessert along with a fabulous bottle of wine. Small intimate dining room Massimo comes out, greets all the diners which is spectacular. The staff is attentive. They let us take our time with dinner It is a wonderful place to celebrate almost any occasion.

Wonderful experience. Beautiful restaurant. I love our server Bertrand. Service was impeccable. It's so easy to park because of the location. Food very tasty. My favorite dish was the tuna tartare which they call by its Italian name. My second favorite dish was the Apple strudel dessert. My husband enjoyed it with the vanilla ice cream it is supposed to be served with. I substituted mango sorbet for the ice cream, for a slight up charge. The mango sorbet was delicious, and the perfect apple strudel was sweeter than some other strudels I've had. Great liquor and wine selection, including many interesting options by the glass, bottle or half bottle. I appreciate the variety of vegetarian menu choices.

Beautiful atmosphere , amazing staff that were attentive and so full of descriptions when it came to menu questions and letting us know the specials ! All the food was hot , full of flavor , and arrived quickly ! I love that the chef himself comes out to check on you and that he is the only one cooking the food ! Will for sure be back again to try more on the menu !

I'm so sorry, wish I knew his name. He was the only male server there at the time so hopefully he gets credit. We made a reservation for dinner & walked in about 6:30pm. We waited only a minute maybe at the podium. It's in a strip mall which is odd for such an upscale place but it was kind of business casual not formal. We were seated in a comfy booth by our server. There was even a card sitting on the table, signed by the staff for our anniversary. Very sweet. This was our first time here so he showed us various specials on the menu. They had NYE specials since it was the 30th so we ordered from that. The drink menu is very small but I'm confident the bartender could have made me anything I asked for. We did not order bread, it's not included but we also did not want to fill up on it. I was dying to try the onion soup & was actually glad he recommended the mini size. It allowed us to try the soup but not fill up on it. I would totally return just for this soup! It wasn't long before our dinners were ready. Once it was in front of me I was honestly shocked at the raw beef but, it was truly seared & sliced to give it that presentation. I normally will not touch rare beef but this was actually delicious! The food was so good & fresh. The drinks were strong, not watered down at all. I actually had to get a Togo box for half my meal but it was a great lunch the next day. We did take home desserts as well which were also perfect. Our dinner was $200 which is quite steep but it was our anniversary & we truly enjoyed it. We will definitely return. I wish they did carry out for the soup. I think I'd order it every week if they did.. Overall I have zero complaints. The ambiance is not overly stiff either. They've made it so it's a mix of casual & elegance combined. If you'd like to dress up, go for it! Thank you, Parlor House for an amazing anniversary dinner.

When we were here last (as you can see in the attached photos) there were dark curtains blocking out the very casual plaza, white table cloths, dimmer lighting, and a stage at the front for live jazz music. It really felt transformative and intimate. This time when we walked in we were greeted by a beta fish tank which was incredibly odd lol, all of the curtains were wide open, no live music, wooden tables, confusing decor, it was super bright and so, sooo so loud. Tables were crammed together and you could tell the kitchen and bar were struggling with volume. I wouldn't mention this at all if the entrees weren't 50$. For the very pricy food and cocktails you expect an elevated interior- and the vibe felt really confusing. It's a shame because the food is exceptional- something to keep in mind if you're looking for a romantic date night. Excellent food romantic vibes Still worth trying if you're in the area- just adjust expectations. Dress code online business casual but folks were mostly in shorts and t-shirts.

For starters, I dove into the French onion soup--rich, cozy, and just perfect. My friend couldn't get enough of her fresh arugula salad, and the escargot was a total hit, with every bite bursting with flavor. For mains, I had the wild-caught shrimp risotto, which was super creamy and delicious. My husband's beef bourguignon was hearty and packed with rich flavor. Our friends went for the duck leg confit, which she raved about, and the special--a 16-ounce Delmonico steak (really a ribeye) cooked to absolute perfection. Dessert was a so good! My wife chose the Veggie Omellette, but changed when they did not have Salsa. So she picked the Blueberry French Toast instead. We chatted for a bit and I took photos. Shortly our meals came. I thought the Shirred Eggs would be scrambled but they were added to the bacon and heavy cream, unbroken, so cooked but juicy, and topped with cheddar. It was delicious. And the warm, toasted, baguette was superb. My wife really enjoyed her French Toast, lots of fresh blueberries, fluffy and fantastic. I wish we tried their coffee also but already had several cups this morning. Then we looked around for a baked goods display since server told us they made their own baked goods. None out but they had fresh croissants, so we got a regular and a chocolate to go. Now my wife was driving today, so couldn't resist tasting my regular croissant. Yum.
