Went on a Friday after work and sat on the patio. Expectations were low due to the other reviews I saw. However, I was pleasantly surprised as we had a good experience. Various servers were attentive to us the whole time. Definitely a great place for drinks which are numerous in selection and so cheap. Food was just okay, but we mainly got apps. I don't know how to even start this post, this isn't my usual style to post anything negative about a business or person but yesterday I was humiliated in a way I have never experienced in my life. Excuse me for the post not being well written but I'm still upset. Yesterday I had a friend that I hadn't seen in years coming through fresno for the night and I was going to meet her as she was heading to the Cole Hotel. I was early so I went into what I thought was Neighbors but I guess is now the Lincoln Pub and Grill to get something to drink and wait. I sat down and waited for someone to ask me my order and watched two people finish with what they were doing, they look around, I think they notice me sitting at an empty spot right in front of them and they continue to chat with others. I waited a good 7 minutes and they were not waiting on anyone else. I proceeded to just walk out. I cross the street and go into Bobby's restaurant and sit down. I'm talking to the girl there that was serving me and suddenly this man from the Lincoln rushes in. Mind you this is a busy restaurant with people seated in the booths eating and enjoying their meal. This Lincoln Pub and Grill employee, who ignored me when I was there and I've since learned his name is Nate... rushes into Bobby's and stops about 10 feet from me in the middle of the dining area and yells at me "do you plan on paying your bill". I said excuse me, I just got to Clovis to wait on a friend....I left because your lack of service. He proceeds to yell in front of all these people about me eating tacos and having drinks stealing food and walking out on the tab! Then he looks at the girl serving me and tells her "make sure you get her card" and storms out. The girl that was waiting on me was shocked...she has never seen such a thing and my mouth was on the floor. I am a 63yr old woman and was born and raised in Clovis and am part of this community. I've managed bars, worked with the public and in all my years I have never been so humiliated and embarassed in my life, nor seen this type of behavior. I left Bobby's and went right back to the Lincoln Pub and Grill, I wanted this situation resolved, my name cleared and I wanted an apology. I enter The Lincoln Pub and "Nate" is nowhere to be found. So I stand right by the kitchen doors... everyone at the Lincoln obviously knows what happened across the street because they all have that look of shock on their face. I asked for the manager and for name of the guy who ran over to Bobby's and berated me in public. Two other employees were sitting at a table and say it must have been a misunderstanding like it was no big deal! A misunderstanding and Nate isn't man enough to come out of the kitchen and explain himself!! I will be calling The Lincoln today to find the manager or the owner but this is beyond unacceptable and I want a proper apology. The Lincoln needs to realize they are NOT in the Tower district here. This is Clovis and businesses don't behave like that... nor treat people that way and expect to stay in business. Again, I am an old woman... how can a bartender confuse me with someone he obviously gave tacos to within the last hour?!! I am so angry and humiliated I don't even know what to do. I'm even more angry today. Other than put this all over the internet I have no idea what to do. NATE obviously isn't mature enough to apologize nor explain himself and that place needs to train their employees better. I apologize for the length of this, I just wanted my fellow Clovis people to be aware of this type of behavior from a Clovis business. At least the evening ended with a great meal at The Local and good convo with my old friend. But this situation isn't over in my opinion... nobody should have to go through what I did. read more

Myself and two others came in around 1pm there were two tables available but had not been cleaned. We stood at the door for ten mins waiting to see if they would clean the table without any staff even acknowledging us. After the ten mins one of my friends went to ask someone at the bar if they could clean a table for us they said they would "get to it in a minute they were in the middle of something" we then proceeded to wait another ten mins at the door then finally left. Our regular Saturday lunch with the grandkids took place at The Lincoln in old town Clovis today. Food and service were both great! At our table, we ordered soft drinks and water, the tempura green beans and buffalo chicken fries, a philly cheese sandwich, french fries, a fried chicken sandwich, the Smoked Pork Belly Mac & Cheese, a grilled cheese sandwich and a club sandwich (with the bacon on the side!). With little exception all were delicious and looked very appetizing. The appetizers were the highlights--the tempura was crispy while the beans were tender, and the dipping sauce was tasty. The buffalo fries, with a not-too-overpowering buffalo sauce, morsels of fried chicken breast, and bits of blue cheese over crinkle-cut fries was great. Our server was very pleasant, with a smile every time she visited our table. Her attention to our needs, drink refills, to go containers, etc. was very much appreciated. So I had a bad experience at this place the first time I went with their horrible service, or lack there of. I was in the area so I decided to give them another chance. I went by myself and sat at the bar. I was there for 6 minutes (yes, I timed it) and was NEVER acknowledged by any of the three people behind the bar. The woman bartender spent the entire time talking to a guy two chairs over from be, complaining how she has to close tomorrow. The other two guy bartenders walked past me multiple times without even looking my way. I just got up and left because it's obviously crystal clear they don't care about their customers. We have been wanting to come here since the one opened in Tower. The menu looked good and we were excited. We walked in and we were never greeted.. We decided to sit in a booth. The seats were cracked and ripped. We sat there for a while and never were approached. We then moved to a high top which was dirty and had stuff spilled all over it. A short time later we were greeted. The server half way wiped off the table and it was still wet and dirty. We asked for a menu and they said scan this. The place was dirty and the staff wasn't very friendly. We walked out and didn't order. Wouldn't recommend this place and not coming back again read more

I've been here quite a bit..a few times before they became The Lincoln Pub and a couple times after. I'd say the food prices are pretty decent. My favorites are actually from the appetizer section! I'd say this place is even better than The Local, a few doors down (their food was very disappointing, esp for how much I paid for it). Their bar looks nice too but because I'm only on lunch, and had to go back to work, I did not get to try their drinks. As good as the food may be though, the service does play a role in what I think about a business. I've had a couple decent servers here but there is one that I would have to say is not that great. Never got her name but she has a distinctive characteristic, which is her purple hair. Every time I've come in, she always looks pissed/annoyed. The vibe she gives off is definitely not a welcoming one. During my first visit, I gave her the benefit of the doubt that it might be because she was having a bad day. BUT after coming in multiple times with her as the server, it is definitely just her normal behavior. Being in that industry, I don't expect you to be nice or smile all the time to customers but cmon! Be more approachable and don't be so visibly annoyed when someone asks you for something. If you don't like being a server, then maybe this isn't the profession for you. But don't act that way and give the customers that bad vibe when all they're trying to do is have lunch and support their local businesses. I don't normally write reviews but if deemed necessary, I will. Hence this review. Overall, the place is pretty decent but that server is something else. Bad service and worse food. The wings were smoked, not fried and crispy. It didn't give this description on the menu. We also had the pastrami sandwich on a hogie roll. Turned out to be a half roll with little meat. What meat there was on the sandwich was more like bacon than pastrami. Our waitress took our order after two other tables that came in after us and then sat at the bar instead of seeing if we needed anything else. read more

First time going in there since the switch of the business and was just simply trying to figure out what happened and the server was so rude and said that neighbors could burn in hell and was so short and never came back over to us again until our drinks were empty and we just paid and left. I was so disappointed in this interaction I didn't even want to finish the drink. I will never be back. Took about 15 minutes for me and my wife that were seated at to bar to be acknowledged. The food was really good; no complainants at all with the egg rolls, calamari, and bruschetta .Beer was also very well priced and the environment was very comfortable.
