    Rib Eye with veggies

Food is amazing. I'm not a meat eater but I wanted to try the Starving Artist Burger... took me back to a great bbq with such great taste. Hubby ordered the Rib Eye... he devoured it. My dad ordered the Short Rib Pasta... I grabbed some.. pasta was amazing with great tasting sauce. The ambiance is amazing and I highly recommend. This will be on our list as I place we will come back to again. Kudos to chef and waitress was the best.

    Delicious!!

Food was delicious and half of what other places in are charge! Staff were super friendly and nice. Great music and overall great experience and will definitely be coming back!! Glad this place is back!

The service was great at Starving Artist Bistro, but the food was just okay. Appreciated the live music.

Too many fruit flies. I was scared they were going to go to my drink. Which was actually tasty. The environment was sad for a Thursday spring break week. I heard music only as I was leaving. Kinda disappointing. I'll try again.....maybe.

The food was really good. Went for the brunch menu. They had a lot of options and good drinks. The bathroom was cute with the sink design. However, it's right next to the owners office. So, hearing him argue on the phone while I use the bathroom was fun. The place could also use a good dusting too. But I will definitely be back to try their dinner menu. Or catch a live band play

Live music on the patio on a beautiful friday evening. Not the worst case

A hidden gem in the fresno area. Focusing on local musicians and their live music, close to 2,200 artists have performed here in their 10 year span. With good food, service, and a large patio, it is a must visit. I would prefer a rotating menu of craft beers, but I am a beer snob so you can take that comment with a grain of salt. Also, they have awesome decor and art for sale inside. Lot to love here

    Great dog patio

Such a fun spot in an unexpected shopping center. My bestie and I were at the dog park and got hangry. We looked up the closest dog friendly breakfast and chose the bistro. First of all the outdoor space is Huge and perfect to host multiple dogs (one of our dogs can be a tiny bit reactive sometimes to other dogs). The tables are far enough apart and there are multiple ways in and out so you don't have to run a dog gauntlet through a narrow pathway. It's right next to the parking lot, but they put a low barrier wall up so you don't feel like you're in a parking lot, and if people walk by they're far enough away. The service was great and the food was wonderful. I got the steak salad and it was absolutely delicious. The girls that helped us were so nice and they had a cool wood fire going so we didn't get too cold.

I take it all back, idk why I based my whole review off garlic bread ever and a simple mistake on a busy night. Let's redo this since I've been back a few times since with nothing but great experiences! Such a fun, unique place. LOVE the vibe. Service is always on point, staff is on point. Loved that one night I had dinner with a friend on the patio listening to the live music & the owner came over. Such a cool dude, so personable gave us a run down on who was performing, made sure we were having a good time and taken care of. Food has been lovely. I fall in lust with the tomato bisque & grilled cheese every time. One of my favorite spots in town, just disregard my last review.

The Short Rib sandwich was legit. I don't see this on menus often so I was happy to get it. This was my first time here. I was expecting kind of an arts cafe vibe from the name, but it's more of a pub vibe.

We came here for lunch today and it was great. They have a nice outdoor patio out front with a fountain. The inside has interesting artwork and guitars all over the wall. The interior has a pub feel to it. We ordered the short rib sandwich and the Cobb salad. The short rib was excellent and was perfectly tender. The Cobb salad was solid with tons of toppings. The service was great and we will be coming back to get a drink and dinner soon!

Bartop dining: salmon with brown sugar glaze. Absolute perfection.

Dining alone while in town on business, I had a fabulous salmon, rice pilaf and fresh veggies dinner that was lick-the-plate clean good. It was a mild day with a high volume of patio diners, and a live band outside. The end result was slightly less than stellar service at the bar, in terms of engagement. The bartender was very busy slinging drinks constantly. He hit the marks on taking my order Nd getting my "ok" that things were fine but I languished quite a while before I got my bill...which is part of why I like to sit at the bar to avoid the payment doldrums. Nevertheless, this was a lovely experience and I would come back in a heartbeat. Dining alone as a female can sometimes be intimidating depending upon the setting, but I wouldn't hesitate to go alone here.

    Western burger

Came here during the week and sat out on the patio because it was such a beautiful day. The menu consists of salads, burgers, sandwiches, pastas, and other entrees. I went with the Western Burger (onion rings, bacon, BBQ sauce) with a side of fries. The portions are generous. Many customers around me were ordering the salmon with brown sugar glaze. They also use the same salmon prep to make the patty for their salmon burger too. I'll be sure to try this the next time I'm here. Our server was quite attentive. The restaurant is a dog-friendly place. Be aware that if you sit outside, there are mosquitoes.

We've had our dog out there many times and no one said anything. In fact, they brought him a dish of water.

They have many salads, so yes!!!

Good for a date, good for a group, good for just treating yourself on a random weekday. The bar area is great too and the cocktails are solid. Service has been consistently good every time. Attentive but not in your face about it. Prices are reasonable for the quality, especially for a restaurant this polished. Its on Fresno street which is easy to get to. Honestly Heirloom just delivers every single time. Its my go-to recommendation when someone asks where to eat in Fresno and wants something a step above the usual. Never disappoints.

The line went fast, and everyone there was so friendly. The place looks really nice inside and has a cute outdoor seating area. Due to the summer heat, we ate inside but noticed they had little fans on the outdoor tables to keep the bugs away which is much appreciated. The flavor of the food was delicious! The surf and turf was not only good but it was gorgeous!! I am obsessed with the flavor on the shrimp. The only complaint we have is half of our food was cold. The surf and turf and the tri tip was cold, but the chicken was steaming hot and the carbonara was nice and warm. The flavor and cook in the tri tip was good. The carbonara was really good, and the chicken was super tender and had a nice flavor. I can't believe it was only $6 to add on 2 chicken breasts to the pasta. The salmon burger was also good, it was just a little messy to eat. The patty broke into a few pieces that would slide out which made the avocado slide out much easier. The fries were also good. Something that really stood out to us was the size of the portions. You definitely get a bang for your buck here. I would love to return and try one of their salads. They looked phenomenal!

They had a huge bar, lounge area, and an open kitchen with a lot of staff members working. Both inside and outside was nice with dim lighting. Very modern interior design with their tables, chairs, house plants, and neon signs. The service was top notch. The person came by to serve us water noticed our table was pretty wobbly so he fixed it instantly. I thought that was great for them to notice the small details. They always came by to fill our waters 4-5 times. They also remembered we were celebrating an anniversary so they offered us complementary champagne. Our waitress Celeste was very excellent. She gave suggested me dishes that I couldn't decide. We ended up getting the chicken taquitos ($17), the pork chop ($36) and the prime sirloin ($36). Food was delicious and everything tasted so good. I like the roasted Brussels spouts flakes on the pork chop and even though the sirloin was medium it was still very tender. Even the one time our water cups were empty she noticed and apologized and came back to refill them. The chicken taquitos were very good as well. Bathroom is a little small with only three stalls and one sink but the staff was nice enough to direct me to them cuz they saw I was looking around. Overall is a very good experience. We were really looking forward to coming here after being new to the area and stumbling upon it because our groomer is across the street - but please, beware. The menu is confusing and lacks identity - Latin/italian/american? Just pick one and do it well as opposed to trying to do it all. The ambiance is adorable with special handmade- steel art all over the walls but the food just sucks. Von's sourdough baguette? Really? Like guests wouldn't notice? The amuse-bouche is basically a stale crostini with flavorless cream cheese on top and they call it a "mousse". Crispy Brussel spouts were greasy and too aldente and lacked salt - the calamari was flavorful but soggy - maybe they need to change the oil - the kale salad was a Taylor farms Costco Caesar with like 2 pieces of chopped kale and un-toasted pine nuts sloppily thrown on top. Do better and you will be more profitable.

We headed in at an odd time yesterday around 230pm. It was late for lunch and too early for dinner. Nevertheless, we were seated in the front dining area, and ordered some entrees. The menu offers a lot of familiar favorites that you would expect to see at a a bar/ restaurant. Burgers, sandwiches, salads, and a few specialty plates. For my meal, I ordered The Local burger (no pickles of course) which was absolutely fantastic. Piled high with cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomatoes - this burger was executed to perfection. I ordered it medium, and it came out medium (imagine that). The best part was the sunny side egg that was placed on top. That first bite was heavenly. The yolk breaks, and all the goodness adds a little extra flavor to the already delicious burger. The shoe string fries were seasoned perfectly- I highly recommend this entree. The only thing I would add next time is an element of spice to take things up to another level. My wife ordered the BLTA sandwich , with sweet potato fries. I didn't try a bite because I had enough bacon on my burger , but I did sneak a sweet potato fry , and it was fantastic. My son order the chimichurri steak , he seemed to enjoy it although it may have had too much sauce on it for his liking. Perhaps it would been better if he ordered the sauce on the side. My picky daughter ordered the pesto chicken sandwich ,and she said it was pretty good. My family and I were full , but weren't going to let the dessert options pass us by. My family has a sweet tooth. We all shared the chocolate cake and bread pudding . Both are nice options if you need something sweet to top off your meal. The food and vibe of this place deserves 5 stars. I will deduct one star for the mediocre service and inconsistent food prep. Our meals were coming out one by one which made it awkward when trying to eat together. Our server didn't offer refills on our drinks , and didn't bring us utensils -until we asked for them. I will be back to try more menu items , and enjoy a cold beer while watching the game.
