Ever go into a store and immediately feel shamed? Thats kinda the vibe of this place. It's not overt. It's more like you feel them hovering and judging you. I have been here a handful of times, and every time I leave, I say it will be the last time. My Christmas shopping here was the final straw. I simply wanted to look for myself, but that wasn't good enough for them. Some customers don't want people pestering them every time they look at an item, they simply want to be left alone to make their own choices. That wasn't good enough for these ladies. When I was ready to buy my items, it took, no exaggeration, TWENTY (20) minutes to check out. There was only one other customer who came in after me but they serviced before me. That's fine. But then gossiping and catching up and hugging and elaborately wrapping one package for her took a full 15 minutes. 5 more minutes to ring me up and check me out. Despite my frustration, I kept my cool and checked out. I should have just walked out. My bad. Honestly, these ladies are so far up themselves they can't see how far gone their customer service has slipped. But I will NEVER darken their doorway again and make sure I tell everyone about their rude service and high prices. Their shop stands in sharp contrast to their neighboring boutiques which offer exceptional service that is warm, friendly and fast. Save yourself the humiliation and high prices and go elsewhere to patronize local businesses or shop online. Both options promise a better experience then dealing with these rude has beens. read more

The store owner helped me search not only the store inventory, but also the inventory she could access by special order from her vendors. Very Cute shop and lovely lady. She was very helpful with what I needed. I was so happy to find this place and knowing that she carries the brand I like it's a relief. She is very knowledgeable. I'm very happy with my purchase. There is a limited number of people that can be inside the shop at the same time which is understandable. The shop is clean and organized and to COVID standards. I saw a nightgown flaunting a pretty ornate cleverly woven design I thought to buy for my Love. It was something from "Little house on the Prairie " yet so elegant and gently laced! I have not purchased it yet but might if a woman I adore would like it! But as to my experience at this shop ,it was more to and for the woman who ran the store I talked to that merits the 4 stars! She is a wonderful person with a sense of humor and I told her how she looked much like women in my own family! After a photo exchange she completely agreed. Very informative and very friendly. She knew I Shall return and buy something if I find myself there with my desired one! They have high end and not so common elegance here to indulge should you wish to grace your loved one's heart with special and sooo personal a gift! This is a wonderful boutique. They offer a careful selection of underwear and sleepwear, of fine quality and style, and range of price. Salesperson "Penny" guided me thoughtfully and expertly, through existing stock and her catalogs. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with her and found the perfect gift for my sister. Penny gift wrapped it, packaged it for mailing, directed me to a nearby shop for a card and later to a nearby cafe for refreshment. The drive from San Francisco, where I live, is easy, and Larkspur offers parking and charm, as well as a welcome break from the fog. I was shopping for a friend's bachelorette and after a disappointing showing at Chadwick's this was the last stop before heading into the city. Turns out I didn't need to go any farther than Larkspur. :) The selection here is small, but wonderful. I found the perfect nightgown for my friend; it is just stunning. Sexy, sophisticated, and breath-taking. She loved it. We also got her a lace set because the price was so good. And then they wrapped it for us beautifully, and even put the bow on it in a way that if security made us open it (TSA peepers..) we could put it back on no problem! I buy things online that have no emotional value to me, but I want to help preserve the pleasure of shopping with high end small merchants, like Marjorie, so I treat myself at her exquisite shop.
