The staff - pretty nice and explained everything. WiFi - Great speed and I had no trouble connecting my devices. *It is only "on" Mon-Fri 6am-6pm Magazines - there were not many to choose, but they were current and representative of diverse interests (Sports Illustrated, Time, Cincinnati Mag. ) The patient and friend are notified via a vibrating and beeping restaurant type pager device that fits in a pocket and has sufficient range that works not only in the upstairs waiting room, but in the parking lot as well. Misc - The coat rack is large and has plenty of room for coats. The bathroom has really cold water, the hot water did not seem to be hooked up. Not necessary to have clean hands, but it was kind of annoying. Waiting Room - The waiting room on the second floor is nice and a decent place to spend a half hour to an hour. Yes, I know what a bedbug looks like. I didn't want to scare anyone else in the room, and simply told the receptionist. A little while later someone came in the waiting room spraying alcohol and wipping things down. We talked a little and she said it wasn't the first time she was asked to do the same thing. A bit later I was told to sit with my wife as she recovered. I overheard a nurse say that number 3 (my wife) was "the one with bedbugs" and that they would have to wipe it down. I went up to the nurse and said that I was pretty sure (we now know for sure) that we did not bring the begbug with us. I also mentioned that the person spraying alcohol for bugs was asked more than once to do so. The nurse was adament that alcohol was 100% effective on bedbugs. I agreed that is was effective when sprayed DIRECTLY on bedbugs; but asked "what about the ones in the crevises of the chairs and other furniture in the room?" She still insisted that we must have brought it in. I didn't argue anymore. She seemed annoyed with us for the rest of the visit.

It's hard to put our experience at Cincinnati Children's Hospital into words, but allow me to try…read more We transferred our son's care to Cincy Children's when we saw that they not only employ some of the best experts in pediatric pulmonary hypertension but they also have a clinic dedicated just to this rare children's condition. And it was one of the best decisions we have ever made. The PH team -- and especially Dr. Critser and Nurse Kimberly -- has been there for us since our initial visit. The team is very easy to get in touch with; they gave us the number to the PH cell phone, and we text with them regularly. They made changes and additions to our son's medication plan, and a week into our care with them, we reached out about some worrying symptoms. They had us come up to the hospital that day to be admitted. A week-long hospital stay followed, but out of that we got a plan, and our son has been free of serious symptoms. He is able to run and play with other kids -- something we didn't know would be possible again. And regarding our hospital stay, it was about the best you could get. No one likes being the hospital, but all of the nurses, attending doctors and other techs and staff were compassionate and patient. The room was comfortable, and you could order meals from the iPad in the room. The cafeteria downstairs was also top notch. The past six months have been full of worry and heartache for our son. And while PH is a serious condition that we continue to take seriously, coming to Cincy Children's has given us new perspectives and new hope. We really can't thank this great facility enough!

As a lifetime allergy sufferer, yes I was the kid always sneezing in class, who developed allergy…read moreinduced asthma after college, having a practice who stands by your side helping you day in and day out is what you need. My previous allergy asthma doctor retired, who always look the time to work with you and was looking for a new doctor as this summer has been extremely hard on me, its hard to breathe on a daily basis. I was referred to another doctor, who was very frustrating, so I came across Cincinnati Allergy & Asthma center, which to my discovery is right in my neighborhood in Oakley. My first visit was with Dr Ann Ghory, I was welcomed on my arrival by the reception staff, provided copies of recent visit detail from previous doctor as well as I completed paperwork online prior to the visit. I was taken to an exam room, where nurse asked me in detail why I was there and she told me I was in the right place, where Dr. Ann and their team would get to the bottom of my allergy/asthma issues. We did peak flow, spirometry test and waited for Dr. Ann to enter the room. She finally did, listened to my story and as the nurse told me, we will get to the bottom of this, we will work through this, then completed allergy skin testing, talked about some new asthma inhalers to try to see what works best for me as well as trying another therapy, which I'm waiting for the insurance to approve. She gave me a sample of the inhaler, which is very helpful, as previous office no longer did this & at times you have to try a few medications to find the right one for you, as we're all unique and react differently to medications. Since the visit I've had several phone conversations with Shelly on their team, who's keeping me posted on the new therapy, filled a few prescriptions electronically and glad to have found a new home for my allergy/asthma issues.
