Very cramped walk in and we assumed the relaxing area would be in the back somewhere. Nope. Had to wait for our 90 minute massage watching the nail table 2 feet away from us in very small hallway like spot, fully clothed. Massage with Connie was good - but she was annoyed this day. An extremely sweet and generous friend gave me a gift certificate for a half day package at this spa. It included a massage, facial, manicure, pedicure and lunch. First of all I have to note that the masseuse and the lady who did the facial and nails were both very sweet and very friendly. Their attitudes were polite and professional, and I would have returned to either in the future. The low rating I'm giving is for the downright rude receptionist I had to deal with at the end of my lovely gift. The massage was fine, a very standard and nicely paced experience. I very much appreciated that the masseuse didn't try to talk the whole way through, she was quiet and allowed me to really relax and zone out. The facial was somewhat marred right from the start after it was explained that we would be doing a "facial mapping" and recommending products for my skin type and issues. Uh oh ... you know that if they start with that right off the bat then your relaxing facial isn't going to be so relaxing; it's going to be a sales opportunity with a captive audience. Sure enough, that's what it was. When I walked up to the reception area at the end I was intending to make an appointment for a couples massage as well as to buy a starter set for the anti-aging line of the product they carry. Approaching the counter, the man there shoved a couple of bottles of product in front of me and told me that the aesthetician had set them out for me and asked if I would be taking them. I was not even through my first sentence explaining that I wanted to find some reviews on the product line before I bought full-size bottle of anything, he grabbed the bottles off the counter, tossed them down on his desk and said, "That's a no then." I never even got to the point of asking about the things I did want to buy. I'm not quite clear what brought that attitude on - well, actually I'm assuming that it was because I wasn't going to calmly go along with the sales effort - but that did it for me. I told him that it was now indeed a "no". He said, "You're all done then," and turned away. Apparently I was dismissed. No questions as to how my day had been, was I nice and relaxed now, how did I like my first visit to the spa, would I like to make an appointment for any future services, was I pleased with my mani/pedi ... nothing like that. This guy barely acknowledged me, didn't smile once or say anything pleasant. The whole attitude was unfriendly, brusque, and rude. The last minute or so of my visit left a sufficiently unpleasant taste that the whole day was sort of ruined, and I will most certainly not be going back there. There are tens of day spas in Sarasota (Yelp lists 79). I'd suggest you pick another one unless you like rude receptionists. Why spend money there when you spend it elsewhere and have pleasant experience all round. read more

This place is OK. When I called to make a reservation the receptionist was short and didn't sound very friendly. My mother and I went because we had a gift card and we wanted to relax. We signed up for two pedicures and two manicures. The woman that did my mothers pedicure was warm, thorough, and very knowledgeable. The woman that was doing my pedicure however was not. She was a bit off putting and had a hint of arrogance in her tone. She was quick and completely forgot to massage my feet and calf muscle. When it came time to sand my feet, she moved with a delicate and fragile nature- while my mother was receiving a more intensive sanding. When it came time for the manicures my mother and I had to switch people. The older woman that was doing my feet did not know how to do gel nails. Luckily I got the woman that had done my mothers pedicure. I wish I could remember her name because she was amazing. She was very thorough when it came time to do my cuticles and cleaning up the areas around my fingernails. She was very friendly. After our appointment my mother and I compared manicures and pedicures. My mother told me that her manicurist did not even attend to her cuticles. I told my mother that her manicurist, my pedicurist, did a terrible job at sanding my feet. As I am writing this on the same day that this occurred my feet are still coarse and not smooth. For the price this place is overrated if you get the older woman that did my pedicure and my mother's manicure. I do not believe that I will be going back to the establishment. read more

I normally go to a spa in Tampa and imo worth the drive... but I decided to stay local and try The Little Day Spa. It wasn't bad but it could have been a lot better. My microderm was interrupted twice due to the phone ringing with no one at reception to answer it. Also, I was also told their prices were better, because, unlike most spas you are not over charged for the massage part of the treatment. For the $20 more I prefer the hour+ treatment with relaxing massage and aromatherapy to this 30 minute made into an hour due to interruptions with no massage what so ever waste of time. Not to mention I paid with a $100 spa finder gift card, giving me about $20 credited to my name that I can only use on another service. read more

Starting with the appointment scheduling I found the receptionist to be cold and impersonal. Clearly she was only concerned with collecting money for their over-priced services! The spa itself was relatively clean, although the reception area is very cluttered. The nail tech was professional but my nails were left crooked and uneven and the gel polish which normally last 10-14 days, began peeling off in 4 days. The staff there seemed tense and unhappy which made me feel stressed, exactly what I was trying to avoid. I would not return. This town is full of salons and spas that are clean, pleasant and provide superior customer service/pampering. read more

They were very accommodating and got us an appointment with less than 24 hour notice. Good massage, but not the best I have ever had. What a great find! Flying in for a wedding, my boyfriend wrangled a free night to attend the bachelor party by buying me an awesome aromatherapy massage! Clever lad! Our flight was delayed two hours, and the Little Day Spa was graciously able to accommodate a later booking. Word of warning, it was a bit hard for us to find, since it's hidden away on the second floor of an office building, but this was only a problem for us because we came almost straight from the airport and were still a few minutes late. "No probs!" said Little Day Spa, "We're running a few minutes late ourselves!" I waited briefly in the very quiet waiting room before being ushered into the room. As the masseuse started up, she made sure to check that, since we were starting late, was it okay if we ran a few minutes over? I briefly laughed at the idea that anyone would schedule something urgent immediately following a massage, but then remembered that I'd cleverly scheduled my massage immediately following a flight, so who was I to talk? The massage was lovely - my masseuse even gave me a few relaxation tips (tense, moi?!) - and I left smelling great. If I could give this place a 0 star I would. I received a gift certificate back in May when I was 8 weeks pregnant to come and relax here. When I made my appointment I wasn't aware I couldn't get a massage done at 8 weeks pregnant and the receptionist who was also very cold on the phone didn't ask (which I noticed today when I called Massage Envy to make an appointment that they asked) hinting they are suppose to ask. Anyway, the day of my massage I was told I couldn't get my massage done and since I didn't give them a 24 hour notice they took 50% off my gift certificate, so I went from having 2.5 hours of relaxation to a 90 minute massage. Fast forward to today, I am now 24 weeks pregnant, I decided to use the gift certificate since I am moving out of town, I went in, the gentleman I made an appointment with yesterday was again, extremely cold, maybe get some new receptionist in there please, anyway; when he scheduled me he told me to be there 30mins to fill out paperwork, so I arrived 30mins before my appointment, only to fill out a paperwork that took me 5mins, then I waited about 20mins. The lady who massaged me was nice but she was very soft, she didn't focus on my problem areas at all, I felt like someone was just gently caressing my body, the massage was very blend for my taste and I have gotten plenty of massages done. When I was done I was told that I only had 75$ left on my gift card and I owned them 20$ for the 90 minute massage. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AWFUL!! The receptionist tried to argue with me about what happened back when I was 8 weeks pregnant but I quickly shut her down, I just wanted to get out of there. Work on your customer service skills, don't be so cold and have no personality and maybe next time communicate with your client how much they have on the gift card and how much it will be after the massage or see if there's other options? Like a skin care or something else. Whoever is running this place needs new people in there. I will personally never go back, I just wanted to get rid of the gift certificate, such a waste of money! read more

When I first walked in the door I was "greeted" by an older woman who clearly was not happy I was there. My appointment was for 9:45a for a pedicure but by the way the "spa" looked you would have thought it was the crack of dawn. The place was a mess. There were products scattered on shelves mixed with stuffed animals and the drink dispensers were totally empty. No cucumber water here! I was then grudgingly offered a glass of water and told to wait while she set everything up. She then asked me if I had a gift card, which I did, so she said she had to "make sure it went through" before we got started. We walked all the way back to the front desk so she could take down the gift card number. Things only got worse from here. She said she would run the gift card later and brought me back to soak my feet. I was also "scolded", like another reviewer said, for getting on the chair from the wrong side. While my feet were soaking she went to run the gift card and ran into problems. It said it had already been used which it hadn't. She said they don't get paid if the gift card doesn't go through and told ME to call the company right then and there! She then continued talking to me while I was on the phone and said, "I need to know if you want to continue service if the gift card doesn't work". By this point she had gotten on my nerves so much that I responded with no! I just wanted to take a second to figure out why the gift card wasn't going through and she was practically hurrying me out the door! Long story short, she said that it would not go through, dried my feet off and I left with no pedicure and pruny feet. Afterward, I compared my gift card number to the Internet page she had printed, which had the number they had entered on it, and they had forgotten to enter the last 3 digits of the card!!!!! Absolutely ridiculous. Please, do yourself a favor and go ANYWHERE but here for your spa service. read more

Last minute- they fit me in. Pat did a super job and was very knowledgable about my medical conditions to make me as comfortable as possible. Let me begin by stating the spa was very clean and had ample paring right downtown. Two important factors. This was an extremely generous gift including tip who hoo from a friend I had helped out in a time of need. It included steam, massage, facial, mani pedi and lunch. My massage was excellent and the best part of the day! Margaret Ann was my masseuse and I do recommend her. Pat however did my facial. I do not recommend her. The facial was short, not relaxing and not very through. Pat never announce when she was shining bright light on my face which was somewhat starling, or when misting or anything. There were no warm mitts with lotion to soak your hands while getting your facial, no foot, declotage, or shoulder rub. Lunch definitely was something from a pizza place. Not the spa fair one would expect. I had the chicken salad which was laden with mayo, served over iceberg with saltines. As one other observer noted there are 79 day spas listed in Sarasota, you may wish to try one of those. read more

I've used a number of their services and was very happy with all of them, however, my hands down favorite is the micro-derm abrasion treatment. I purchased the package of 6. I was given a gift certificate to this spa based on the online reviews. What a DISAPPOINTMENT!! I had a $250 gift certificate and wanted to use part of it for a pedicure and facial. I set an appointment for 11:30 this morning and ended up having an emergency with my son. When I called to cancel or reschedule at 10:00 no one answered the phone and I left a message. They called back a little after 11:00 and said I couldn't reschedule my appointment and I would loose that money from my gift certificate. He said if I would have called back earlier he might have been able to work with me. I did call, and no one answered! They would not work with me and now I paid for a facial that I never got. Poor business practice and customer service. The spa was extremely hard to find on top of it. Horrible location, horrible customer service. read more

I had a facial for my birthday. The aesthetician while polite lacked warmth and was not very receptive to me asking what products she was going to use on my skin. I asked for a vitamin c facial and was told they could not do it since it was the daytime and one can only use it at night. The products used were greasy and the sunscreen at the end left an oily white film on my face. I had to wipe it off when I saw what it looked like in the car. The hand massage was not good. I have had far better facials that come with a hand massage, foot massage and neck massage for $60 and my skin looked lovely afterwards. This was $80 and a waste of my money.
