My decor team and DJ arrived at 5 in the pouring rain only to come to locked doors and no lights on being denied entry. When reached out to Lisa to ask can my team and dj in, we were told to stand in the rain until 6pm. When asked can we at least put stuff in the lobby so stuff would not get wet we were still told no. After asking over and over finally close to 6 pm the dj n vendor were allowed to placed their products and equipment and the bottom of the steps. Smh. Now when reaching the venue after 6 to begin set up nothing was prepared just chairs and tables. No chafer sets to put food out nothing. I will not recommend this venue to a soul. Lisa in my opinion speaks stern and very rude. Reaching out to her is difficult because you receive responses later. New management would not be a bad idea. The only nice staff in the establishment was the security team.

Our wedding was for 55 guests, with an indoor ceremony, outdoor cocktail hour and indoor ballroom. Again, 100% PERFECTION. Me and my husband were running a few minutes late and Maxime opened the bar to help us to keep our guests in good shape. We wanted to broadcast the ceremony to some friends abroad, and they were extremely cooperative, putting all their resources to accommodate our requests. We also had live music (salsa) and our band needed to set up the stage and Maxime´s team support was essential and extremely professional. Gisselle also provided some tips and suggestions that were key to elevate our experience. There are not enough words to express how grateful our experience was on our wedding day. Actually, since we were running late, Maxime gave us an extra 30 minutes courtesy to have our final dance at no extra cost. The fact that our guest could smoke outside and that the team added a firepit and some heaters as it was a little chilly outside provided the warm touch for the evening. Our guests are still highly IMPRESSED almost one week after our event. The place is cozy, chic. It´s EVERYTING! The layout, the elegance, the lights, the windows, the wine and cocktail selection, the staff (round of applause to Gina), the environment... One of our guest required disability accommodation, and Atmosfera provided an elevator with a staff member to assist at all times. Payment wise, totally worthy! Having three bridal suites upstairs was such a bonus, and the parking lot made things easy for vendors coming and going. From the start, Amelia was so detail-oriented during our initial tour and allowed us unlimited site visits, which was incredibly helpful for planning. Midway through, our main contact switched to Arthur, who was amazing, so sweet, accommodating, and customer-focused. Frank was wonderful as well, even granting us three extra hours of venue access and allowing us to ship a large mirror ahead of time, which was such a huge help and greatly appreciated. On the day-of, Arthur and Kat were the main on-site coordinators and they were incredible. I did hire a third-party, day-of coordinator and I don't regret this, as it helped give me peace of mind to ensure everything stayed on track! Honestly, the entire staff went above and beyond. My guests raved about the bartenders, especially the bald gentleman everyone loved (I am sorry I didn't catch his name) and the wait staff were so attentive and kind. Guests with dietary restrictions felt especially taken care of thanks to their thoughtfulness. I didn't catch everyone's name, but I do remember one person named Rafael was soooo sweet and was very attentive. Overall, I have noticed they have excellent staff retention (many of their staff have worked there for many years). That alone makes me happy and made me feel comfortable booking them. And the food... wow. From hors d'oeuvres to the grazing board to late-night pizza, everything was delicious. I received so many compliments, which is VERY rare for wedding food! I didn't eat much that night, but The Sanctuary kindly packed us (a LOT) of steak to-go, and my wife and I devoured it at 3 a.m. It was incredible. I ate that steak for lunch the two days following our wedding! At the end of the night, one of the staff members even helped us load our personal belongings into the Lyft, which they absolutely had no obligation to do. I truly cannot recommend this venue enough. It's a hidden gem that doesn't nickel-and-dime like other places and truly values building great relationships with their couples. If you're considering The Sanctuary, I would ABSOLUTELY book it!

The location is prime, if you plan to take a car, remember this is NYC & traffic is bad. You can probably walk faster than a cab or car service. Especially during the month of December. NYC gets more visitors in December than all year long. The venue has 2 bathrooms for women which is not good, however worked for this crowd. The "glasshouse" was a bit small, and my chair was wobbly; I felt like it was going to break if I moved too much. There was barely any room to stretch your legs. Our server came by, gave us the menu, and disappeared. After a while, he eventually came back to take our order. The place was packed, I'll give them that, but given that we paid for the special dinner package, they would be more attentive, given the price we paid. We finally got our drinks, which were not included in the dinner experience, by the way. The package only includes the guava tea, hummus appetizer with pita bread, and a choice of one entree each with dessert to finish it off. Anything else you pay for separately. For my drink, I got the Blushing Bourbon, which was really good! As for the food, we started with the Crispy Coconut Shrimp app, which was good with the sweet chili sauce. As for the limited choice of entrees, we went for the Golden Chicken Milanese and the Sakura Teriyaki Chicken Bowl. The Milanese chicken, while it was huge, needed more seasoning; it tasted so bland, and the mustard sauce did not help at all. My friend did not like the Teriyaki chicken bowl, but I did, as it was much better than my dish. The portion, however, was small. After we had somewhat finished our food, we were served the raspberry macarons for dessert, which were good but tasted like regular macarons, so nothing special. Of course, the check came quickly without being asked, with an 18% tip automatically included. After paying, we went around exploring photo ops.
