Great service! We had contacted a few movers and found many to be more expensive and have a minimum hour requirement, plus service and other fees. Rent A Vet provided a competitive quote through Yelp and followed up to see if we had any questions. They provided prompt responses online for revising quote and confirming details. Day of the move they arrived a little later than scheduled (tried to contact us but had phone number off by a digit) but worked hard and ended up finishing the move about an hour faster than anticipated. Typically for local moves, my husband and I handle it ourselves, but I had recently been hospitalized so my husband arranged for a local move from a two bedroom apt as we weren't sure if I would be able to handle heavy lifting. We had already moved all clothing and some linens and smaller items and weren't anticipating things taking too long as we've been able to pack and move in the past by ourselves in a day and when we have used professional movers in the past it's only taken a few hours. The phone call was brief--they asked about our unit (a 2-BR 2nd story walk up) and if we had any overweight items (we did not, we informed them we had standard bedroom furniture in one room, an extra bed and crib in the other, and a big screen and sofa as our largest pieces. we were given an hourly rate for a competitive price and told that it included all packing materials, so you can imagine our surprise when the three gentleman showed up on the day of our move and said they could only move items that were boxed up and that they would not be able to package our TV, which I thought was strange. Luckily that wasn't too much of an issue as we had some unused moving boxes on hand we had been holding onto and we had kept the original box for our big screen TV since we move fairly often since my husband is military. Had we not had that available, we would've been screwed. We were also expecting the movers to pack so it really slowed things down when we found out we needed to start packing things up. It would've been nice if that had been communicated in the phone call, but it may have been missed as when we originally called the company, they had another individual call us back and perhaps they thought the other individual told us. Maybe we were supposed to get an email with instructions but didn't as they had missed our online request for the move since they had told us they recently transitioned to a new system. In any case, we were not informed we needed to have our stuff packed up and we assumed they would have boxes as the woman told us the rate included all packing materials, which was much on their end as we only a few items were wrapped. The movers were very polite and were very careful about the floors which was nice, although I felt they were a little slower about moving things, maybe since they did not have any lifting straps to help them move the larger items. We actually own some ourselves but when we were told we needed to pack things up ourselves we were in a rush and by the time I realized they didn't have any, I had no idea what box they were in so I couldn't loan them to the guys. If you have things packed up, this company is fine to use as they are very polite and will take care with your home and belongings, but at that point, I feel like you could just rent your own truck/moving pads and give a couple friends $100 each to help move the stuff and save a bundle of cash. EDIT: in response to the reply, if no packing is occurring d/t covid, that really needs to be explained to the customer. My husband had the call on speakerphone when the move was arranged and there was no mention of this policy. If we simply wanted someone to move our already packed belongings, we would have just gave a couple friends a couple Benjamin's and pizza to help. We were blindsided on the movers arrival with this information. A cool grand is a lot for us to pay an actual moving company for us to have to pack our own stuff up. read more

I procured their services back in November to do a move from North Raleigh to Clayton. A 3 bedroom apt to a full house. These guys were there for 6 hours. They wrapped, packed, disassembled and reassembled my two reclining couches, my adjustable bed frames, our dining room set and never complained once. They were so attentive to detail. The manager helped them load and strategically pack the moving truck. I can't say enough about this team. They were awesome. They wore footies in the new house. There were many unexpected charges that were never discussed. This team moved a basic queen bed, 2 lamps, small dresser and a peloton and it took them 3.5 hours and charged $750. The movers were on the phone and sitting at various times. I made the representative, Cheryl aware and she laughed at my concerns. These guys will prolong their move to get additional money. Wold give five stars but the truck broke down (after everything was done, when they were to leave) and it took several hours before they moved the truck from a do not park zone. read more

Movers , first off were over two hours late and didn't call. The two helpers were very positive and professional with the exception of the lead driver. His lack of professionalism was annoying and took patience to overcome. My door was damaged and I will have to repair it. They did get the job done and again the lead driver angled for a bigger tip. I was unable to be there for the move because I had to travel to my new place for work. My roommates were the ones watching and they said the men worked hard and quick. I did hear they were upset with me because they did not anticipate the stairs, but for clarification I told the manager all this information when I called. He said that since it was a local move the stairs don't matter because I wouldn't get charged for them. So I did inform him of the stairs, I guess it was left off the form he filled out for the men. I didn't like being blamed though, that kind of put me off. As for the money, the manger asked me to add a 3rd man to help get everything done quicker and it would save me money, so I agreed. I think I got a little screwed over because I paid way more than I anticipated to. So maybe if your move only requires 2 just do the 2 because the 3 was way more expensive and I wish I said no. read more

Very quick and easy to work with! They have the blankets to package up valuables like dressers and headboards. It made things go quicker that I had things sequestered and ready to go. They do not have boxes, so box everything up yourself. But they took my furniture apart and put it back together very quickly. We hired these guys to move some really heavy furniture from our upstairs bonus room to the garage so we could sell it. We requested a quote and they responded in about an hour and a half. Compared to the other quotes we got, they were on the low end, but we felt they were priced right for our job. It was no problem getting on their schedule when it was convenient for us, and they came as scheduled. They were very professional and courteous. We even shared a few laughs about the monstrous computer armoire that they moved down two flights of stairs without a nick or a scratch on the furniture, door frames, or themselves. They were affordable and within my budget, coming in on the lower end of the quotes I got (some quotes I got were twice as much!). I really appreciated how responsive they were. They were prompt, friendly, efficient, took steps to protect the piano, etc. They were really easy to work with and Dirul was very prompt in responding to all of my messages and questions beforehand as we worked on scheduling. We used Rent-a-Vet movers and the up front service and follow up were prompt, courteous and professional. Unfortunately, it was a hot day and made things a little slower and apparently, slippery. One of the movers dropped our new washing machine onto our exterior concrete stairs and damaged it badly. There was also an issue with heavy piece of furniture being slid down on the hardwood floor and it made a gouge. The movers sent photos of the damaged washing machine and then I was told to pay up front and that they would contact me about how they would handle the issue. Haven't heard anything from them at all for follow up, not even an email saying we're really sorry this happened or we plan to reimburse you or anything! The initial emails asking for my business were steady and every day, now they have my money there's no follow up at all and I'm stuck with a severely damaged washer. These are the best movers no debate. I utilize their services 20 months ago and i was very satisfied with their service. I was given a quote and paid exactly what i was quoted for. Unlike 99.9% of movers companies, who give you a quote then up charge at the end of services. I contacted these guys and again the manager immediately responded. Once he figures out that i was an old client we chatted a storm just like 20 months ago. He was very kind and kept my old quote, he wanted to honor that since i was his "first " customer when they were first in business. I felt blessed and thankful for his kindness. Scheduling was a breeze. The guys came on time and immediately got to work. I see major change and improvements in their services. There moving truck is twice the size of their old truck. I had a two bedroom barely used half of the truck. His guys help me with taking apart my bed, bed frame, sofa, and wrap every pieces perfectly, there is no way they can damage anything with the way they wrap all my items. I was very impressed with their techniques, skills and professionalism. Tyron hands down the best life saver. My new home upstairs is narrow. He work it like a jigsaw puzzle and was able to move my big head board and mattress, without a scratch. He pay attention to all my items and make sure everything is carried; no dragging, dropping or breaking. These are true professionals. They had up there A game to an A++++ i am so blessed to have meet and work with all these guys. They are all hard worker, kind, outgoing. If you talk a storm they will talk a storm back. I am definitely is will recommend their services. Please be mindful, these are hard working guys and 99.9% of the time they cannot control or manipulate time. So, if they are behind; be understanding, compassionate and kind. We can't control how long a move will take. Customers may say "i have a small house everything is pack, but upon arrival nothing is pack and its a messed. This can cause them to be 1-2hrs behind." Times to move from one job to the next I predicted, but not guaranteed. My initial schedule time was push back 2 hrs due to issue like event stated above. I was happy and told the guys to take as much time as they need, because while they are not my front door my can carry on with cleaning. When I schedule this move i make sure i took off the whole day from work, so i can be as flexible as needed. Life is unpredictable. But, the manager immediately call, apologize and threw in an extra movers with zero costs to me. I believe in good karma. So, please be kind and patient and good karma will comes, because things happens and it's not life or death situation. If i can i am giving these guys 5+++++ stars. Thank you so much guys.
