I stopped in this past week with my daughter and granddaughter because we had been wanting to try this place for a while. My daughter ordered an Iced Latte with Raspberry and Vanilla. I ordered a Chai hot tea. My daughter ordered the giant Chocolate Chip Cookie and I ordered a Smoked Gouda and Chive scone. I also purchased a bag of their House Blend coffee beans to go. The chocolate chip cookie is good. Crispy on the outside. Gooey chocolate inside and the salt on top sets it off. My daughter thought her coffee "had potential" but it had too many pumps of the flavorings and it had overpowered the drink. I tasted it and I didn't find it drinkable the way it was made. She didn't finish it. My Chai tasted just like a gingerbread cookie. Like a winter flavored hot drink. Not like any chai I've ever had anywhere or made at home. I thought the flavor was ok but not what I expected or wanted. I would not order it again. The scone, as my daughter said of her coffee, had potential. But it was very, very dry and dense. I made the house coffee at home and was surprised to see how thin and weak it looked in the pot. The taste was the same. I will try doubling the amount that I typically use to see if that improves the taste but I wouldn't purchase the beans again. We will stop in again sometime and try some other things on the menu.

She specialize in small batch cupcakes, but also offer custom birthday, wedding and shower cakes. If you cakes aren't your thing, then they offer a boat load of other goodies too. Such as...meringue pies, sugar cookies with buttercream frosting, hand pulled cream candy, fudge, and chocolate dipped caramel apples just to name a few. She hand makes all of her baked goods and sugary sweets out of her house and there fore doesn't have an official storefront. She usually requires a day or two advance notice to be able to fulfill most orders, but that goes with any at home bakers. In my opinion, it is worth the wait. Lollie's Sweet Treats has recently became a Kentucky Proud and Appalachian Proud member. Anytime I need cupcakes or cookies, I always give her a call. You should too. Tell her Chad Sent you.
