Diners are my favorite type of restaurant and it's been that way since I was a little girl, so let me tell you I was shocked that I hadn't been to Tealside yet! It was a small space but feels like a diner from an old movie. It was cozy and fun! I got the Tealside Slammer with scrambled eggs, potato cakes, and upgraded the standard pancake to a waffle with brown sugar butter. It's one of my favorite meals I've had this year. I've never had potato cakes before, so now I am on a mission to learn how to make them from home. The eggs were buttery and fluffy - I loved them. The sausage tasted just like how my grandma makes it. The waitress (who was super bubbly and friendly!) suggested I get the brown sugar butter with my waffle and she was so right. I've never had something like that, but there is no going wrong with brown sugar or butter - the combination of the two obviously is amazing! The staff/servers always greet you warmly when you walk in and the servers are sweet. It's a small diner right next to the gas station. There is not a lot of parking. They serve breakfast all day. It's usually busy whenever I go for dinner around 5 or 6pm but service is quick. It might be hard to navigate and find a seat because it's a small place. The string lines are cute. They have music playing and Pixar movies on the TV. My favorite is the Sweet Brunch Sandwich. I also really like their biscuits and sausage gravy. Their home fries have the perfect amount of crispiness. I've tried other things on the menu and it's all been decent. Their flavored iced coffee was not great, though. I mean it's a diner so it's not like... super fancy and I wouldn't exactly say it's worth going out of your way for. I gave a bonus star for the service :) read more

First visit to this cozy little diner--and it was well worth the wait.We've wanted to try it for a while, but the parking lot is almost always packed. Today we finally caught our chance, and I'm so glad we did. The diner is small and bustling, with closely spaced tables and a lively, welcoming atmosphere. We grabbed a seat and were impressed by the expansive menu, but for our first visit we stuck with classic favorites: a cod fish sandwich and a single cheeseburger. Both were absolutely delicious. My husband is convinced the French fries were the best he's ever had--and that's saying something after 65+ years of fry-tasting experience. My Saratoga chips were crisp, light, and full of flavor. Great little hole in the wall diner. Found this place while out and about with my husband. It was packed so I knew it would be good. Staff members were super friendly greeting you as you came in and the food was delicious. I had the Breakfast Skillet which perfectly hit the spot. Potatoes and bacon with melted cheese covered with sausage gravy and two over medium eggs to top it off. My husband had the Chicken Biscuit which looked equally good. Oh my goodness. We are traveling from WV and saw the diner on yelp!! We drove to and past it thinking oh no... but we turned around and said let's do the adventure!! Wow we were so glad we turned around!! The atmosphere is sweet!!! SERVICE WAS BEYOND AMAZING! Lily was so good!! The tomato soup was so hearty and full of flavor. A nice clean dinner. It is located off the beaten path, but not far and is well worth the drive down old State Route 74. The food is excellent dinner food. The goetta breakfast with eggs and hash browns is my favorite; however, I have been here a few times and have enjoyed everything I have ordered. I highly recommend the place. read more

I am so happy I discovered Tealside Diner! I was hungry after taking my car in to get serviced and found Tealside Diner when I searched for a potential lunch spot close by. I have come here twice and gotten the Southerner each time and it is delicious! I recently visited and brought my family with me, so they could try Tealside Diner and they enjoyed it as well. Their coffee drinks were amazing. We got the Vanilla Wafer Latte and a Chocolate Cherry Cordial. Our service was great and our servers were very friendly and helpful. So BUSY! Obviously a popular place. As a in Ohio wanted to try local. Excellent! Just had breakfast how else to judge a diner? GOETA is a German recipe for a blend of sausage & oatmeal and??? Anyway always try new/different. It was like a $2 up charge over bacon/ sausage. Had the potato cakes instead of hash browns or home fries and biscuits. Always go with options. So, GOETA a little salty & kinda pasty (?) but it's good. I'm Slavic so - meet right? It's different and good. Biscuits a little doughy but good and eggs perfectly overeasy. Potato cakes -perfect. Sometimes the smallest diners can deliver the biggest flavor, and I have to admit, I was certainly impressed by the big flavor coming from this small diner. It's a little off the proverbial beaten path but certainly worth a visit. My boss told me about this spot so we decided to go on a Thursday. Parking may be a little difficult since it shares a building with an Ameristop gas station. The place itself definitely has that classic small diner feel and the staff are all very friendly and inviting. I'd recommend going early since there isn't much seating and they get packed FAST. The menu is loaded with different breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, all served all day. After some perusing of the menu, my boss opted for the Southerner burger, my co-worker opted for the Tealside club sandwich, and I opted for the Frisco melt, all three with fries. Even though they were pretty busy, we didn't wait long at all for our food. I really enjoyed my Frisco melt and am always a fan of crinkle fries. Our server was super friendly and attentive too. I really like little diners like this because they're often some of the best finds. I could see going back again, likely with my lady, because I'd want to try one of their breakfast options. This may look like it's part of a gas station but it's actually a stand-alone diner. It's a super cozy, cute spot that packs in the tables. When we entered, we came with a large party (9 ) and they were able to seat /serve us quickly. The server was so kind, funny and attentive. I was traveling on business and thought I would stop by Tealside Diner to see what all the fuss was about with this diner. Well, after eating there I now know! Upon arrival I was immediately welcomed and my server, Julie M. who helped me with my seating and took my drinks order. When she came back I asked her to recommend a dish as I was looking for the best "Tealside experience". I told her I wanted a more traditional breakfast so she recommended the Schoolhouse Breakfast with a side of biscuits and gravy. The food came super quick and, I must say, was cooked to perfection. I ordered the eggs over medium, ham steak, and freshly sliced home fries. Everything was great. Also, the homemade biscuit was incredible and the sausage gravy had a hearty supply of sage breakfast sausage chunks in it. I was not disappointed at all with anything on the table. Once I finished I went to pay for the meal and asked their GM Diane Watson what "Goetta" was as I saw it on the menu. Apparently it is a Cincinnati staple and she explained how it was made. After I paid for the meal, she graciously gave me a sample of Goetta to try and was excited to see how this Yankee from New York liked the local favorite! It was pretty good and we sat there for a few minutes talking about where I'm from. Love it here. Great food, giant portions, friendly service. It's in a little plaza with a gas station. It's not much to look at from the outside, but the inside is cozy and inviting. Also don't be thrown by a lot of cars in the parking lot, I've never had to wait more than a couple of minutes for a table. Took my husband here. I had been once before and liked it. I got the cheeseburger and a side salad, he got the biscuit and gravy meal. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and told to sit anywhere. Waitress came up quickly and asked for our drink order. We took a few minutes bc he hadn't been there before so he was indecisive. My fiancée and I were traveling here from Louisville KY for a concert and stopped in for brunch. The food was absolutely amazing, we both loved what we ordered and it was some of the best brunch food I've ever had. The service was also so great, our server Emily was very tentative and helpful giving recommendations for our first time there. Honestly every single time the food is good, the service is good, the whole vibe is excellent. I drive out of my way to eat here. I have not picked one thing on the menu that wasn't delicious. It is a little small and seating can be limited because it is busy. If you go in the winter you might need to bring in your coat because when the door gets opened it does blast cold air. Walked in this morning and took a seat at the bar by the window. Servers walked past me multiple times but didn't think much of it because the restaurant was busy. Three parties walked in as I waited and took their seats. After 10 minutes of not being approached by a server, I turned to look at the dining area. Wow! This is the best breakfast we have had in a very long time. The service at the bar was incredibly warm, welcoming and fast! The best service we have had in years thanks to our server Hannah! She was the best! The food was hot, fresh and simply amazing. We shared an omelette that was so huge we barely finished it. This is a quint little place. A real hometown feel with great food. I ordered a pick up of breakfast- French toast, eggs, and fried potatoes. The food I saw coming out of the kitchen and how packed they were really showed how much people liked the place. I would like to try their lunch/ dinner next time I visit because it looked delicious. The price range is reasonable and you really get a good amount of food. Legit a diner vibe and nice staff. One thing I will say - be patient with the staff, I went on a Saturday morning and they were packed to the brim and I told the lady at the front to take her time because she was bustling. Food was splendid, staff was nice when I walked in the staff greeted me and made me warm inside.

We were loyal patrons of the omelette house so naturally we had to give tealside a shot upon their opening. I would say the food was good, the service was friendly, and the ambiance is the same but it was just different.... A couple things we noticed is some of the menu items were the same or sounded so at least but it's just missing what we knew and loved. The gravy was different than what we were use to, the omelettes although good and similar sounding are different and we miss the cherry cheescake French toast... we would eat here again but we ultimately miss what we knew. read more

Tealside Diner is a cute little diner tucked away on old 74. The dinner is small, cute and clean. They maybe can seat a total of 50 people in the restaurant. The tables are pretty close together. The place seems to be a place for locals to go. Teal side slammer was great. Potato cakes were seriously so good just a tad on the greasy side. The waffle was fluffy and tasted like funnel cake, it just needed another minute to cook to get some crispness to it. The southern burger was flavorful, hot and juicy! The waitress was very sweet, and seemed like she was taking care of all the tables herself but holding it down pretty well. We didn't have to wait long for our food.
