I requested that the box arrive completely unopened and he agreed to this. The previous 2 times this was done for me by Freedom Locksmith, the box had shrink wrap on in, but the 2 guys had already broken the seal on the shrink wrap, despite me having asked the second time for this to NOT be done. When searching for a new locksmith, I accidentally put in a quote that sent the information out to 7-8 different locksmiths and Next Door Locksmith was one of them. I went with him because he knew exactly what I needed without me having to repeat myself via email message several times. I again asked for the box to come completely unopened. Next Door Locksmith agreed. He came with the box, but it did not have any shrink wrap this time, which I found a little odd and questioned him, but it was more imperative for me to have a new lock put on. This installation was about $75 more than the previous 2 times with the other locksmith (Freedom Locksmith). When having the receipt emailed to me instead of sent via text; the transaction receipt was from Freedom Locksmith. When I sent another message questioning the Nissin G. about this, his response was that he is the same person and that he never worked with me before. Which he did the first time. The second time he sent a different guy and this time it seems as though he's just creating additional business names on Yelp for an unknown reason. Either way, the cost of this service was a lot more expensive than the 2 prior times for the same service from the same company. I'm giving 3 stars only because of the cost and my concern of this being the same company I used prior, but them using a different name.

I accidentally…read morelocked myself out of my house late in the evening, and I figured I was going to be waiting forever. Nope--someone actually picked up right away and gave me a super clear ETA. They showed up exactly when they said they would, kept me updated while on the way, and were really cool about the whole situation (even though I was definitely panicking). They explained what they were doing, got the door open without damaging anything, and even checked a couple of my locks just to make sure everything else was working right. The price was more than fair for the time and hassle they saved me lol . Hopefully I don't end up in that situation again, but if I do, I'm calling them without thinking twice. Highly recommend!

He was able to cut a spare key but couldn't program it to my vehicle. He wasn't sure why it didn't work and suggested I just use it to manually lock and unlock the doors. That didn't work either. He then offered to fix the door lock, took apart my door handle and lock, only to say the lock was broken. His solution? Use a screwdriver to lock and unlock the car--completely unprofessional. He informed us that changing out the lock is super easy and that we could buy the parts online. I asked him to reassemble the door lock as it was so that we can attempt to learn when the parts came in, but he struggled and couldn't get the lock and handle back together. He said he'd return in 40 minutes with another tool and insisted on being paid upfront. We agreed to pay $100 and the rest upon completion. He never came back. We waited hours, reached out, and never heard from him again. The pictures below show how he left my car lock/handle. We eventually contacted Total Relock, who immediately pointed out that the first locksmith gave us the wrong key altogether. They not only cut and programmed the correct key for our vehicle, but also repaired the door handle and lock--everything the first locksmith failed to do. In total, we spent over $500 fixing the damage and getting the job done right. This was a frustrating, time-consuming, and costly experience. If you can't do the job please just be upfront about it. Transparency is key instead of lying to your customers and taking on a job you can't do. I absolutely do not recommend this business.

Obligation is a powerful presence when it's 1am, you're tired, in this persons face, and just want the ordeal to be over. While other locksmiths I called said, sure we can do that and gave me quotes, Louis at NELA talked to me to understand why I was asking for that specific thing, let me know the reasons why it wasn't a realistic or good option for my situation. I didn't end up needing service from NELA, but I certainly do appreciate that they are honest and don't just do a job to get paid. Now I'll go to them in a heartbeat should I ever need a locksmith.

The technician wore a mask and was on time. The surprise came when I paid the invoice. A service call charge of $65 which I expected. What I didn't expect was a labor charge of $72.50 to troubleshoot and replace the lock. The total bill for a new lock came to $203. My expectations were that the service call would include any troubleshooting and replacing. Maybe this is how business is done now. A charge to show up and a charge to do the actual work? I paid the invoice but I will be calling another locksmith in the future.
