It was worth the wait. The food was really good. I ordered a hamburger with onion rings and an extra side of fries. The burger was filling and tasty. The onion rings had a crispy exterior and the onions were sweet. They tasted yummy with ketchup but you could easily eat them without ketchup. The fries were good. They were thick, with seasoning, and a crispy exterior. I was surprised by the flavor. You could easily eat the fries without ketchup as well. Overall Eagles Landing Restaurant was a great place to grab some food. The online ordering process was easy, the service was friendly, and the food was really good.

I spent an hour today with Andrew & Theresa, Dining Service VIPs, who gave me a tour and a lot of information. Eagle Landing is strategically located across the street from UNT's new visitors center. It's $8.20 + tax at the door, anyone can eat there, all-you-can-to-eat. Students can use their Meal Plan just like the other dining halls. There was a steady flow of students who were loving every minute of this adventure. I was told that it's been so popular that it's common for a line to start at the door and wrap around the block. This is a food-hall style setting, meaning you visit any station you want, find a place to sit, stay as long as you like. There are 7 restaurants: WOOD GRILL (opening soon). Food cooked over a wood grill. AVENUE A (open) is homestyle favorites like fried chicken, mac & cheese, smoked BBQ, plus breakfast all day. LEAF (open) is plant-based featuring greens grown at Mean Green Acres, a non-GMO hydroponic garden, as well as fresh veggies, salads, soups, and plenty of 100% plant-based options. La Mesa (open) is a Latin fusion like street tacos, burritos, and tortillas made from scratch. BAMBOO (opening soon) Asian-inspired wok plus stir-fried rice & noodle dishes. CLARK BAKERY (open) is exactly what it sounds like! Yes, fresh pastries, warm cookies, cobblers, in-house homemade ice cream (shakes too!) and more. This review is about the gardens that surround the Bush Center, not the museum or library…read more It was a beautiful Sunday and the kid wanted to ride her bike so we headed to the Bush Gardens for her to ride without having to worry about cars, traffic, and crowds. The garden in the spring is beautiful with the flowers in bloom. You really feel like you are in nature with all the different plants, trees, trails, a creek, wooden bridge, wild flowers, and serenity. This time I avoided the parking fee by parking in a free lot at SMU and walking 10 minutes to the Bush Center. Overall, the gardens are a gem in Dallas. They are completely free and in some ways just as nice as the Arboretum, just smaller.
