It was worth the wait. The food was really good. I ordered a hamburger with onion rings and an extra side of fries. The burger was filling and tasty. The onion rings had a crispy exterior and the onions were sweet. They tasted yummy with ketchup but you could easily eat them without ketchup. The fries were good. They were thick, with seasoning, and a crispy exterior. I was surprised by the flavor. You could easily eat the fries without ketchup as well. Overall Eagles Landing Restaurant was a great place to grab some food. The online ordering process was easy, the service was friendly, and the food was really good.

It's $8.20 + tax at the door, anyone can eat there, all-you-can-to-eat. Students can use their Meal Plan just like the other dining halls. There was a steady flow of students who were loving every minute of this adventure. I was told that it's been so popular that it's common for a line to start at the door and wrap around the block. This is a food-hall style setting, meaning you visit any station you want, find a place to sit, stay as long as you like. There are 7 restaurants: WOOD GRILL (opening soon). Food cooked over a wood grill. AVENUE A (open) is homestyle favorites like fried chicken, mac & cheese, smoked BBQ, plus breakfast all day. LEAF (open) is plant-based featuring greens grown at Mean Green Acres, a non-GMO hydroponic garden, as well as fresh veggies, salads, soups, and plenty of 100% plant-based options. La Mesa (open) is a Latin fusion like street tacos, burritos, and tortillas made from scratch. BAMBOO (opening soon) Asian-inspired wok plus stir-fried rice & noodle dishes. The garden in the spring is beautiful with the flowers in bloom. You really feel like you are in nature with all the different plants, trees, trails, a creek, wooden bridge, wild flowers, and serenity. This time I avoided the parking fee by parking in a free lot at SMU and walking 10 minutes to the Bush Center. Overall, the gardens are a gem in Dallas. They are completely free and in some ways just as nice as the Arboretum, just smaller.
