Came in for a grad party. We had a member of our party who was hard of hearing, and we were kindly advised to reserve the patio so she could enjoy her experience. So happy we did! Our server, Ashlie was very prompt and friendly, especially catering to the elderly members of our table (and our grad, of course!). Her recommendations of the thyme lemon drop and a wine pairing for my porkchop were wonderful! Also, if you're teetering on grabbing the smorgasbord -- DO IT! It was AWESOME! We also got a lovely visit from a manager, Reigan. She spoiled us with a free dessert for our celebration! But what she really did that was above and beyond was after we left the restaurant. We got home and realized one of our boxed items was left on the table. We called to see if we could still grab it and Reigan not only gave us a fresh side of brussel sprouts but even a free corn brûlée because we were raving about it so much! Date night at Perry's last night! First things first: Perry's is gorgeous. Modern, upscale, and elegant without making you feel like you're about to be judged for holding your fork wrong. We had reservations and were seated immediately. Unfortunately, our first dinner companion was...a fly. I know this is Texas and flies don't exactly RSVP, but this one seemed determined to experience fine dining right alongside us. Eventually it either found another table or met its untimely demise. Either way, peace was restored. The manager stopped by within the first 20 minutes to check on us (his visit was unrelated to the fly), which was appreciated. Our server was prompt, friendly, and had excellent timing throughout the meal. The only miss? She gave us the speed-run version of the menu and never mentioned any of Perry's signature dishes. She didn't realize it was our first visit until we were paying the check, which explains why we unknowingly skipped what they're apparently famous for. The warm bread arrived early with butter so soft it practically spread itself. Dangerously good. We split the Caesar salad, and honestly, it may have been my favorite part of the meal. Lightly dressed with house-made croutons and seasoned sunflower seeds, every bite had crunchy, citrusy, salty/spicy goodness that somehow all worked together beautifully. For our entrees, my husband ordered the cedar plank-fired redfish, and I went with the special Beef Wellington. We both had the exact same thought after a few bites: the seasoning was winning the battle...against everything else. We love bold seasoning, but it felt like all the flavors were competing for attention instead of letting what seemed to be beautiful cuts of fish and beef shine. The loaded mashed potatoes, however? Zero notes. Cheesy, whipped, buttery perfection. Dessert was the chocolate chip bread pudding with homemade toasted marshmallow, and this is where things really surprised us--in the wrong direction. It somehow managed to be bread pudding...without much flavor. I didn't think that was possible, but here we are. Completely underwhelmed. To wash down our dessert disappointment, we ended the night with the Salted Caramel Espresso Martini. And honestly? It almost redeemed everything. It tasted like the most decadent chocolate milk you've ever had--with just enough espresso to make it feel classy. This drink is dangerous in all the best ways because it goes down far too easily. Order one...just don't blame me when you immediately want a second. As we were leaving, we finally learned the real star of Perry's is the famous pork chop. Then one was delivered to the table next to us. Y'all...that thing looked about five inches tall, carved into slices like a pie, and could probably feed a small family. Holy moly. Final verdict: beautiful restaurant, attentive service, and some genuinely great bites. But if you're a first-timer, do yourself a favor and order the pork chop. Apparently, that's the move. I reviewed this place in 2022 and I said that I don't think I'd be back. Well I guess I lied. I came here for lunch on a Friday to get their pork chop deal. I believe you can get the pork chop deal before 5:00 p.m. for $22. The pork chop is also available for takeouts but they tack on 15% gratuity. Honestly this is a very good deal and when I was there on a Friday I think everybody was getting it. It's a lot of food. The pork drop was a little bit sweet on the outside and crispy and the inside was juicy. It also comes with the small side of applesauce and mashed potatoes. We also got beef carpaccio to share which was a nice light appetizer to start the meal. We ended the meal with bread pudding and it was amazing. I guess I forgot to read that the wedge salad had blue cheese. gross. the bread was okay. the steak was not as medium rare as I liked. the flavor also wasn't there for me. I've had Perry's on our list to do for a long time. We've heard about the amazing thick cut pork chop and decided to finally make a reservation. Of course it's a nice steak house so we dressed business casual...and fit in just fine. Once we stepped inside on the early Saturday night...I was taken aback by how elegant, but not over the top it was inside. It definitely has the upscale steak house decor but never felt arrogant or stuffy. Our server (her name is Hailey) was five star service, with a smile, all night. In fact, the service was absolutely what I would expect from a fine dining steakhouse. They were always there when we needed them but didn't bother us too much. I can't say enough good things about Hailey. She was knowledgeable, friendly and outgoing. A perfect combination! I opted for the pork chop and my wife had the prime ribeye. I noticed she didn't ask me if I needed a menu for food. However, when others sat down that was the first thing she asked. Now here's why you came: Thyme lemon drop 9/10: this drink was great. So much so that I had 3. Get it...you won't be disappointed. Steak tater bites 6/10: you only get 2 and my tater tots were not warm at all. It's a nice combo though, but be warned the steak on top is medium. Not a problem for me but if you don't like pink meat, ask for it well or however you like it. Pecan salad 9/10: not a big fan of arugula but I liked the flavors in this salad. Perfect amount salad dressing, pecans and the flavors just go well together. This place is crazy fantastic!! A very polite young man stands at the door to welcome you in (just like a hotel). Seated immediately and our waitress introduced herself and took drink orders. Water came right away with the menus. Beautiful venue. Very high class looking. Menu was not crazy expensive, especially when you come from CA. They are famous for the delicious steaks. What to add to the other reviews? Elegant atmosphere but also comfortable - nicer attire would be appropriate. We went for our anniversary celebration and discovered we were dining among many other anniversary tables - you could tell because we all had fresh red rose petals perfectly placed. What a lovely touch! We missed the white Tablecloth but maybe the roses would stain them, thus the lack thereof. Jada was our excellent waitperson and made everything flow smoothly - all perfectly timed. Pork chop is just to die for and the scallops and pasta were fantastic. Del Friscos Double Eagle WAS my favorite spot for steak. Then after a couple of mid experiences I tried this place. Walked in and the feeling was a bit more modern of a steakhouse. We decided on Perry's to celebrate the wife's birthday. We arrived for our 6:30 reservation to discover valet parking and plenty of spaces available. While waiting on our guest we had an Old Fashion and Paloma both were made perfectly and really took the edge off. There were 6 of us and we were seated promptly.Our server Ivan filled us in on the details, the portions were large enough we were able to share and all get a taste. I chose the 16oz boneless ribeye the ladies went with Surf & Turf, the kids had steak and Fries kids menu. And SIL went with the Pork Chop which is their most popular dish. The ribeye is USDA aged Prime beef which was flavorful with each bite an are hand cut daily for freshness. The Pork chop seasoning was sweet with just a hint of some heat, slow smoked on pecan, perfect carmelization with hand torch and carved into 3 pieces at the table ribs, eyelash and the loin. Absolutely delightful and great presentation. Our sides were the inside out Baked Potato which was shareable. The kids and Ladies were pleased with their meals. Your hosts/hostess' need to be retrained. Especially when you have at least a handful of them on duty. Attention to detail is extremely important and so is communication. When a guest arrives to pickup their online order at the time they were told their order will be ready and you have hosts that do not properly AND respectfully acknowledge the patron with clear communication, it is not acceptable. I patiently and kindly sat on the bench in front of the host desk for half an hour waiting for someone to bring out my order and for someone... like a hostess to communicate something with me in regards to my togo order. My order was already over 40 minutes past the estimated pickup time I was given. I had to go back up to the host desk and tell them how long I had been waiting for my togo order in order for someone to walk back to check and grab my food. Hosting is their job. Teach them to do and be better at it. Staring at some tablets is not the main job. It's not that hard to be hospitable and communicate with your guests about things regarding their take out order. Al had a cooked-to-order Filet Mignon and I savored on Ahi Tuna Filet Mignon. Both our dishes boast full of colorful flavors. Met some colleagues after work Bar gets filled up quickly, and by 7 there's a crowd at the door, waiting to be seated Drinks were good-- not just "sweet"- they were nicely poured, if you know what I mean. Still 5 Star in our book but with a heads up for you today re: the "Off Menu" menu item, Turtle Gumbo. We're big gumbo fans being as how we're from the Gulf (of America :) Coast so we decided to give this a try as we also love turtle soup. Fortunately our server stopped by shortly after we had each tried several bites to ask "Do you like it?", to which we responded in unison, "No". For starters it was barely warm, it boasted very little rich roux based gumbo flavor, and was quite unpleasantly overwhelmed by what we perceived as oregano (we don't think it was the file). There is a lot of ground meat in the dish and we could not decide if it was turtle or ground beef. At any rate the texture of the ground meat was for us off-putting in a gumbo. Perry's commitment to excellence manifested itself when our server asked if we'd like something else. I protested at first as I hate to send anything back to the kitchen but she insisted. We chose the lobster bisque which we've enjoyed here before, but which today was just spectacularly rich and buttery. . And the pork chop? Well, if you have had the pork chop you know. IYKYK, Si? Amazing. Every single time. How in the world they maintain this consistency year after year and when cooking a gazillion chops a day is beyond me. But they do. The first round was the Waygu beef, Perry's knows how to serve Waygu. It was excellent. Second round was a Caesar salad not pictured, it was fresh and flavorful well balanced. We went to Perry's on a Wednesday night and to our surprise, they were incredibly busy. Since it was a weekday night and there were only two of us we didn't make a reservation - big mistake. Highly recommend you make one. We were told it would be a 30-40 minute wait and about 1.5 hours later, we were still waiting to be seated. They came around distributing bubbly to some customers apologizing for the wait but did not offer us any, perhaps because we didn't have a reservation? Maybe that made us less than, who knows. When we finally sat down, I ordered a house cab without looking at the menu. Another mistake - an overpriced mediocre wine at about $25 a glass. We had some steaks, lobster, brussels sprouts, calamari. Service was good and the ambiance was nice but overall nothing to write home about, just another overpriced average chain steakhouse. read more

We have eaten here several times over the last year. It can be difficult to get a reservation but not impossible. I would suggest going early as it can get a bit crowded. Noise levels are a bit high but not terrible. It is upscale so the dress is above casual. I have always had great service at this location. They do appear to be a bit more exclusive than the food deserves, but it is a very nice establishment. Prices are as expected with the level of food and service. The pork chop is the star and worth every bite. Steaks are dry aged and wonderful. Tip: ask the steak to be served on a plate rather than the standard cast iron skillet. It tends to overcook as it sits a your medium rare steak becomes medium to well if you don't eat it all in a few minutes. read more

In order to get a reservation at this restaurant, through its website, you need to give them your credit card information! Why on earth do I have to give some website my credit card information just to make a reservation?!!! This is ridiculous! On to dinner.... Upon being seated, they brought bread. It was hot and tasty. We did not order appetizers, but my dinner partner had a dinner salad. It was unimpressive. I had a boneless ribeye and my guest the Filet. The ribeye came alone on a plate looking grey and unappetizing. The filet was also alone on the plate although a little more appealing. We also ordered a potato side. It was actually the best part of the meal. My ribeye was tender but not worth the $66.00+ price tag. My partner took just four bites from her filet. Stating it was tasteless. Hardly worth it price! The ambiance of the restaurant was nothing special. The final bill of our meal was $269.00' including tip' for two people! This is WAY too much for the meal we received! The service was excellent. Went to an early dinner and we received the early bird special. Service was very good and had the 3 course special. Food was good. What I do want to point out is that they have an up charge for prime rib it wasn't cooked as prime rib they cook it as a steak. Technically prime rib is the same cut of meat as a ribeye, they cook it on a grill and it was prepared as a steak instead of cooking it in the oven. So not prime rib, it was a steak. Even our waiter acknowledged it's considered a steak. Don't promote something as Prime Rib, when it is prepared as a steak. read more

I will say that my experience with this Perry's (one of many I've eaten at) stopped at the Hostess Stand. I had pre-ordered a filet for pick-up since I had to work in my hotel room and I wanted to enjoy a good steak while I worked. And admittedly, the steak was great. However, the process of getting the steak was frustrating. I walked into the restaurant and stood in line at the Hostess Stand, and stood, and stood, and tried to casually get the attention of 2 of the 3 people behind the desk who were not busy. Just a casual nod my way so I could ask "where do I go to pick up my order." One young man went out of his way to avoid my gaze. I mean, you cannot stare at an ipad for THAT long without it becoming obvious that you don't want to glance up! And the young lady at the computer stared at it, continuously, for several minutes as I stood there silently begging to simply be acknowledged as a customer! I finally approached and asked where I needed to go for my to-go order, only to be told that they would "let them know I was there." And then the return to staring at computers/ipads. So I simply waited until my meal was brought from somewhere within the bowels of the restaurant. I'm not sure how the remainder of the service is when dining within at Perry's, but sadly, my experience in that short few minutes, will keep me from coming back to try it. read more

Finally tried the famous pork chops! We didn't realize how big the portion was. I thought the price was high because of the demand, but now I know it's because you are getting close to 2lbs of meat. As the server was carving it tableside, she explains the different cuts and what to expect in terms of texture and flavor.
