My daughter and I went to dinner there last night. We both ordered Chicken Parmesan. Hers was fine. Mine was not fully cooked. I asked the waitress (who was very nice) to bring it back and she assured me it would be a freshly made. When she returned with my meal. It was the exact same piece of chicken. The chef must have microwaved it and the cheese that was replaced on top was not even melted, there was one piece of garlic bread and a piece of the chicken I had cut off that showed it wasn't cooked was still on the plate. I was horrified. Never again will I visit this establishment. This was basically a neighborhood bar with some hack in the kitchen. read more

Pretty disappointed. We went last night and sat at the bar. We only ordered apps to start thankfully because we went somewhere else for dinner. The fried pickles were good just cold. The mozz sticks were depressing it's like they under cooked them and they probably sat for a while before delivered. The bartender was lovely though. Our first time there. The food was just horrible!!! I had the seafood platter, $23 for 4 small shrimp, 4 scallops, n a very thin, frozen tiny piece of fish. My plate had more broccoli n disgusting mashed potatoes on it than seafood. All the seafood was seriously overcooked. My fish was still cold, watery n had more breading than fish. We have given this restaurant 2 visits in the last year and were disappointed both times. Steamers were cold, flatware was dirty and drinks were weak. The French onion soup was so over seasoned that it was gritty. Years ago The Lodge was packed whenever you went and the steaks were stellar. Not so with the current owners. Was looking for a place half way between my son's home and ours to meet for dinner. The reviews looked good so we took a shot..... Wings were floating in 1/2" of grease on the plate...and saturated with grease, awful. I had the "lodge burger", the bacon tasted rancid, so I removed it. The fries were good though. My son had chicken broccoli Alfredo, the broccoli was nearly raw, the sauce was more like a white sauce than Alfredo. Service was slow and unprofessional. Windows were dirty and the table was dirty when we sat down, in fact the entire place looked dirty and dingy. Next time there will be no next time. read more

My family and I went to the lodge for Thanksgiving yesterday for our Thanksgiving meal. When we first arrived I was so excited because there was a lot of people there waiting for the 2:00 pm seating. We were seated promptly, but was not thrilled of the fact they seated us in the bar area. Our waitress took our order for drinks and our all you can eat turkey and ham Thanksgiving meal. We received our food the first time, but after that we didn't see her again. She was rude and didn't even come back to see if we needed refills on our drinks or food. Horrible Horrible waitress; I wish I remembered her name but honestly she never introduced herself and only seen her 2x thru our meal. When we called her over to get more water she gave us attitude. Food wasn't that good either. My sister had to bring her own home made cranberry sauce to the lodge because they didn't even offer it. Turkey was bland and ham was cut like lunch meat. I ended up going to the Chinese restaurant afterwards because I didn't even eat the food at the lodge. read more

I went this evening and it was horrid. I ordered a King cut PRIME Rib. This was not prime it was choice or select and it was not rare as I asked for. I could not cut through the meat it was tuff and terrible. I told my waitress and she came back to tell me the manager would take off the lobster tail I ordered. Whoopdi doo. We set reservation for thsnksgiving for 6. Seated right on time. Waitress Kathy I believe was very friendly. Although we had some,confusion on ordering with the sides the food wasnt bad. Mashed potatoes unfortunately had a half of a potato still in the bowl but the butternut squash, pickled beets were good. Variety of turkey on the plate which was good but the stuffing was too soggy although it looked homemade. My husband and I had reservations for 1 P.M. on Thanksgiving.We were the first in line,and got seated 35 minutes after arriving.We requested a booth,as I had just got out of the hospital and could not climb up on the tall table area.We got our soup and salad,20 minutes after being seated.We waited another 15 minutes for more food to arrive at our table.The potato,dressing and stuffing were luke warm.Squash and peas were cold.The restaurant was in total chaos.It seemed no one knew how to organize a large crowd.We had been going here for Thanksgiving for over 6 years now,but will not return.Not enough waitresses and they had no one cleaning tables.For this many patrons there should have been Table cleaners on the floor to clear tables so someone else could be seated.I owned a restaurant,so I know what the customers expect when they arrive to eat.Good service,good food hot food,and a polite waitress.They are under new management also. We stop here several times a year. The food is pretty good for pub food. Good place for keno, popcorn and burgers. The place is something out of the 70s from the menu (along with sald bar - who has a sald bar anymore?) to the decor. Both could benefit with being updated. The salad bar is ugly. Wilted lettuce, small little bowls, greasy salad dressing containers. Once they had clam chowda and it was a little bit in a heating container and was like wallpaper paste. The rug of the place needs seriously cleaning or just needs replaced. NOW THE GOOD - burgers are great, french fries are hand cut, the food is pretty good including the appetizers and entrees. If they could just clean the place up, update the menu, and pay attention to the details, the place would be a gem. Local place where everyone knows everyone else but if they could make some small changes it cold be a place people might go out of their way to visit. read more

On fathers day my son called for reservations and the gentleman on the other end acted as if this was something new to him. We arrived and were seated promtly by the hostess, the table was set for two (there was five of us). After waiting 15 mins. the waitress came over, see asked us for our drink order. I wanted a diet coke no ice (I have cold sensitive teeth) and my son asked what was on draft, to which she would have to check on. When see came back and stated they were out of everything but Bud light. My son asked what they had in bottles to which she replied she would have to check again. When she came back there was about only 3 offerings, so he ordered a Bud light draft. We looked over the menu and then the waitress came back with our drinks and you can guess what she brought, diet coke with 3/4 of the glass filled with ice and a bottle of Bud light!! I should of realized what was about to come. I asked her what the specials were and she stated prime rib today. Great, I love beef so I ordered the queen cut rare and my daughter in law a well done, the wife a chicken parm and my son a steak with lobster mac and cheese. We all got the salad bar with our meal and we were told that we could proceed to the salad bar(had to ask another waitress for bread at the salad bar). I asked her for another 3 place settings. We came back to the table and waited another 5 mins and I had to ask her again for the place settings. Then she comes back to tell me that they were out of rare prime rib, so I asked if there was 1 medium rare, to which she replied that they were all well done. So I told her to bring me a rare New york Sirloin. Here comes our meals! The prime rib was JET BLACK, I told the waitress to wait while she cut into it, the thing was dried out to the tenderness of beef jerky!! I told her this was not acceptable to bring another! She went back to the kitchen and came back to state they were all out of prime rib, so we would have to order something else. So we had to start eating while our food was still warm, we were almost done with our food then here comes the cook (used very loosely) out of the kitchen with my daughter in laws chicken kabobs. He looks as if he needed grooming and he's babbling something all the way, puts the dish down, turns and is still muttering all the way back to the kitchen. I asked the rest of our party what the hell he was muttering to which no one else understood his babblings. Years back the Lodge had good food, resonably priced and had a good feeling, not so now!!! The worst meal I ever had, Steak and lobster. The lobster was fine,tasty the size if a small shrimp. Had 2 meals the same 1 well done steak and 1 rare, both were so tough we could not chew it. The baked potato was cool and dried out... Waitress was so apologetic and the owner would not come to the table to say any thing about the poor meal sent the waitress. Reduced the bill by 20 dollars.. Will find it hard to give this place another try when the owner wont come to the table to find out the problem read more

Not sanitary at all!! at the bar there is a dirty bucket full of ice that is placed on the floor, which the waitresses stick their hands into to fill glasses. Also, at the bar there is a tray fruit (cherries, orange slices, etc.) that is for drinks and people who sit at the bar sticks their hands into the fruit and eats them as they drink. while i was there a man picked up an orange slice, looked at it, and then put it back. Hi my husband and I just wanted a bite to eat and a few drinks to settle the mood and we were disappointed. I ordered the steak and scallops and they were out of the scallops so I had the lobster tail and my husband ordered the clam chowder and crab ragoons. I've tried this place three times. The last time was Valentine's Day, 2013. The one impression I'm left with after giving them every chance is that the locals are very easy to please and/or not aware of what really good food should taste like. The wine glasses are filthy. If you order a fine wine, it will be spoiled by the soapy residue on the glass. Entree sides are apparently pre-prepared and served on small bowls placed on the entree plate. They're always cold. The service is best described as inattentive. I tired their chicken special on my first visit . It's obvious by the taste (gritty) that they're selling cheap factory raised chicken. The second time I tried a small steak. It was "okay", but the sides were tasteless and cold. This last time I tired the swordfish. It was two small slices stacked atop each other and undercooked. The ice water was okay, but no need to travel to this restaurant for just a good glass of water. read more
