This is the interior Dining room, so cute

This is a hidden gem of Putnam! Been trying to get here and today did not disappoint. I understand why this establishment has received high ratings. This unique bistro/ dining type restaurant is so enjoyable and comfortable. I wish I could try more on the menu! My guest did have the farmhouse burger which was enormous and looked delicious. He said it was yummy and was served with a side of hand cut French fries. The server Rosemary was professional and friendly making our lunch here a wonderful experience. I'll definitely be back!

I visit Elizabeth's whenever I am near the area. To put this as simply as possible... The dishes here are executed as if the kitchen staff is showing off for a national foodie magazine. I am not sure how every dish seems to be a blatant attempt to upstage your favorite restaurant and your family's most talented home cook. Even the salads are over the top with amazing flavors and ingredients! Yes, the salads AND soup. Because I have to try all the best restaurants in a neighborhood... I can only do that during the hours Elizabeth's is not open. I just can't justify eating anywhere else when their doors are unlocked. The restaurant is very cozy, but they stay very busy, so carryout works best for me. For more on Elizabeth's I pasted a link below. Read this great independent review I found. It paints a perfect picture for you. https://outandaboutallie.com/2019/03/15/elizabeths-farmhouse/

Nicely decorated exterior which was one of the few positives I can mention about our experience.

My friends and I visited this restaurant for our first time on Saturday (10/11/25). Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience from the moment we arrived. Knowing we were early, we were lingering out front, looking at a drink menu when a woman opened the door and shouted "We don't open until 11:30" as if we were intruding rather than future customers. No polite greeting or, "We'll be with you shortly" just hostility. We seriously considered going somewhere else but had just driven 45 minutes and were on a tight schedule. In hindsight we should have left. Once we were allowed inside, we immediately noticed that the interior was dark and dreary. The corner booth I was seated on was covered in black masking tape and extremely uncomfortable. We tried to let in some light by opening the wooden blinds, only to find they were coated in what looked like years of dust and they wouldn't open. Cleanliness clearly isn't a priority and the entire place needs a thorough cleaning and new seating. That's probably why they don't open the blinds during the day. As for the food, it was homemade and flavorful but my friend's french fries arrived cold. When she mentioned it to the waitress, the response was a flat "I'll let them know" - no offer to replace or reheat them. When we later asked to have our leftovers wrapped to go, we found the fries had been thrown away because the waitress "didn't think she wanted them." That assumption, without asking, was frustrating and unprofessional. Overall, the experience was unwelcoming and underwhelming. We definitely won't be returning.

I have always liked this place but am always shocked by how the prices rival Boston, Providence, and New York City. Despite this, the portions are quite generous. My last visit, my salmon portion was visibility much smaller than others that were being served at other tables so that was a little disappointing. Overall, happy to come here and they have great presentation for their drinks.

I'll start by saying this place is decorated beautifully. From the shoe stretcher lined mirror, rusty tractor seats on the wall, black and white buffalo plaid its cute and cozy. It's an intimate place inside. Tables are tight and it's kind of loud when the tables are full. We saw the reviews and since in the area we decided to check them out. The food was presented beautifully. The food was okay. We ordered. German onion soup. It is s very flavorful snd very rich. Not much broth more like puréed onions. It was tasty but we both got through half of it before it t just b came too much. We ordered a ceasar salad with salmon. The salad was very fishy. As in strong smell. Didn't have much in the area of seasoning... it was bland. We also ordered the curry chicken salad sandwich. When you use too much curry your salad will become bitter and chalky and that is what happened here. Salt and pepper was missing. There was arugula on it which I normally like. The fact that the sandwich was already a bit bitter this just added to it. A bit less curry, salt and pepper a pinch of cumin and cilantro instead of arugula would be better. Truffle fries were okay. We also ordered carrot cake and chocolate espresso cheesecake to go. The desserts were very good We got a to go order and they forgot to order it and we left with our bag only to find that when we got home my kids food was missing. I myself, wouldn't hurry back but, other customers seemed pleased and seemed to be regulars.

We were driving around New England, staying in Putnam for the night. We Yelped & found this gem of a restaurant. So quaint with 10-12 seat bar & beautiful little dining room. Very tastefully furnished! We had stuffed Quahog clams aka " Stuffies" with chorizo= fantastic! I splurged & had short ribs- great and tender! Falling apart with a fork. Tasty mashed potatoes too. My husband went with Margherita pizza ( you cut your pieces with a pair of scissors- pretty novel). If you are nearby, definitely go to this lovely eatery!

Ask the Community - Elizabeths Farmhouse

Do I need a reservation on a Saturday night?

I would think so. I was there at 5:00pm on a Friday night and they had a long list of reservations for the evening. I would think on a Saturday night you would definitely need. Very popular place and the food is great!

This place sounds lovely... I'm looking for somewhere to enjoy just cocktails and apps ...is there a bar or just table service?

Yes, there is a bar. It's a small place but the staff is really friendly and the food is great. You will not be disappointed!

With good reviews and a cool menu we dropped in and couldn't have been happier! We were pretty lucky as it was not that busy and we were able to get a table right away. The decor is eclectic and interesting. The staff came with a great smile and even better attitude; absolutely top notch! We started w the pretzels and beer cheese. Holy 6 pound baby Jesus they were good. They came out piping hot and the cheese was in a bubbling side dish. This isn't your typical dab of cheese in a plastic condiment container that is commonplace nowadays. I had the Arturo Sandoval (spin on a Cuban) as my entree and it was also fabulous and came out hot. If I was being critical, the pork was a wee bit dry, but that happens sometimes and it really didn't take away from the sando. Even the small side of pasta salad was outstanding. I'm lucky if I eat sides like that 1/100 times and this one I couldn't wait to finish. Great vibe, great staff, great food, and live music almost every day. Definitely gonna go back and if it's just as good will update to 5 stars.

They were done in a dirty style which is really good. Had a good crunch but still be tender on the inside and not soggy at all. The drinks selection and prices were awesome and to top it off some live music which plays each night. I love the decor inside and the names of the items on the menu was unique to musical artists which was cool. I will personally make the trip back to this place again. Their service was fast and friendly.

There's a warm, welcoming vibe that makes it just as easy to hang out with friends as it is to settle in for a quiet pint. The beer selection is genuinely outstanding. Whether you're into crisp lagers, bold IPAs, or something more experimental, there's always something worth trying, and the staff knows their stuff if you want a recommendation. There's always a wide range of styles on tap, and everything feels well‑crafted and intentional. It's the kind of place where trying a flight is almost mandatory because there are too many good options to pick just one. And the food... the pretzels are absolute must‑haves. It is soft, warm, and perfectly salted, and the bites are the ideal pairing for a flight -- simple, delicious, and exactly what you want with good beer. Our party of four ordered two drink flights - Old Fashioneds (peach, blueberry, and the Dudley) and Mojitos (rose, lavender, pineapple, and raspberry) and three appetizer flights deviled eggs (bacon, shrimp, and Dorito), egg rolls (Tex mex, Philly cheese steak, and buffalo chicken), and calamari (Rhode Island, creamy, and sweet chili) - all delicious. We then ordered a meat trio with steaks and steak tips and a seafood trio with baked stuffed shrimp, scallops, and salmon. The steak was very tender and the salmon and shrimp were excellent. However - the reason I chose this was for the cheese wheel. I ordered the pasta flight with three types of pasta (gnocchi with Gorgonzola, ziti with vodka sauce, and spaghetti marinara with grilled chicken). The server wheeled out the two cheese wheels and lit them on fire to heat up the cheese. Then took each already prepared pasta and heated it up in the melted cheese. The pasta was average and the pasta and chicken were lukewarm but the experience was fun. My only complaint is that the pasta came out after everything else. But that's understandable. Dessert was cheesecake and a flight of espresso martinis (Reese's, Caramel, and original) and a great way to end the meal. Service was great and overall a nice dinner.

Very first thing I noticed was that the sign was absolutely ridiculously faded. We actually drove right by it the first time trying to find the place. If the owners trying to hide his establishment from customers, he's doing an excellent job with that sign. We sat down, the waitress didn't seem very enthused to help us on a Labor Day. I think that my pizza crust had more personality than our waitress did. She kind of warmed up towards the end, when it was time to get the bill, and we needed to decide what to tip. When it comes to the actual pizza... I think it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS PIZZA. Some of the best pizza I've had in a long time. This being said, after i ate, I walked into the bathroom to wash my hands, it was an absolute nightmare. This bathroom had clearly not been cleaned in a while. Gross toilet seat, with fecal matter and toilet paper stuck to it. The sight of this makes me a little worried, because this will probably be the similar condition of the kitchen. This place would probably get five stars from more people if they did a couple things: 1. Employ staff that seems enthusiastic about their job and makes the customers feel welcome. 2. Clean your damn bathrooms. 3. Invest in a sign out front that people can actually see from the street. 4. (This one probably doesn't matter) but I think the whole quarterback theme for a pizza place is really stupid. And the name is pretty stupid as well. This being said, I probably will return and bring some other people. And we will give it a second chance. Don't let me down Quarterback Sneak Club or whatever the hell you're called.
