Love this place. I have been a resident for a year now. The staff is excellent with a few minor…read moreexceptions. Call light times could use improvement along with more and experienced staffing. The staff they got works hard everyday to be their best. As far as cleanliness goes it's getting better daily with little in the way of smells. Food is good but could be better. Activities are top notch they are genuinely concerned about entertaining residents. When you walking in you are greeted by the best receptionist. Would definitely recommend. 4 stars

There was an employee talking on her phone loud as soon as we entered the lobby talking about she was going to beat someone up. The staff did not get up from their seats to do or say anything (other then one kind nurse advised us to call 911 and get him out of there right away because they can't care for him.) The entire place was filthy. Trash and dirty sheets on the floors in the rooms. No Ac and it was 94 degrees outside. Holes in the ceiling and walls. Construction being done outside of the rooms. Patients had no clothes on due to the heat. He had no call button, no proper bed for his condition. I would not send a dead dog there and I'm so shocked that place is even open. I feel sorry for the people there without family to advocate for their wellbeing. My son would have died if I let him stay there. Yelp is asking me to give it a star rating and won't let me post a review without a star. I would give it no stars if I had the choice.

Meadowbrook Care Center - They thought this was acceptable for black history month. (Cotton decor) terrible choice from a pw facility.

The ambulance drivers that drive the small ambulances don't buckle you in correctly and most of them don't speak English so you could be going anywhere. I almost went through the windshield because of one driver who had pot in the cup holder next to him. Office workers were the rudest meanest ppl I have ever dealt with.

She underwent various types of rehabilitation, met with a physical therapist, and had follow-up visits with a nurse when she was home. The second time was a complete 180 from the first time. This time, she had no therapist, and instead was paired with a "coordinator." The coordinator did not listen to a word my mom said, dismissed her complaints, and discontinued her treatment after 2 weeks, sending her home early. She had no follow-up visits with the physical therapist, and was given no at-home exercises to do upon discharge. Unfortunately, she was directed to Brookwood after she had a heart attack in 2018. She underwent a quadruple bypass surgery with atrial fibrillation ablation. She had spent 3 weeks in the hospital pre-surgery in order to ensure her protein and blood sugar levels were at appropriate levels, and ready her for surgery. Despite being discharged in such a delicate state, Brookwood discharged her home after 2 weeks against her surgeon's orders. Repeated calls to Brookwood from Bethesda North Hospital, the surgeon, Dr. O'Keefe, and myself went unheeded. I'm shocked this place has not been shut down or investigated by the Health Department. My father is currently a patient there, and tells stories of his laundry not being done on a weekly basis, of him only being given one shower per week (he is entitled to 2-3, according to Brookwood's administration), and of no waitstaff in the bistro where the residents dine. Brookwood has the temerity to charge $3,337/month for this (lack of) service, and we just learned that they intend to increase this amount by $335/month despite telling my family that the monthly charges only increase every 3 years (my father has been a resident since 2018). Considering that Brookwood can't perform the services it already offers, I'm not sure what their justification is for increasing the monthly rent.
