Living here has been a terrible experience. The units constantly smell musty and moldy, and it's not uncommon to be kept awake on weeknights by people loudly playing guitar at 2 or 3 in the morning. The management seems more focused on squeezing every dollar they can from residents than actually maintaining a livable environment. I've been hit with random $13 fees and was charged $25 for "failing" a clean check, even though my apartment was clean. It took four months just to get a parking spot. If you try parking on the street in the meantime, good luck finding a space. Visitor parking does not exist, and your friends are almost guaranteed to get booted. Even worse, resident parking isn't included. You have to pay $55 every single month for a pass, which is ridiculous. To top it all off, I signed my lease on December 6th, and just three days later they sent me a renewal contract. I mistakenly signed it thinking it was part of transferring the lease from the previous tenant. When I tried to explain the confusion, management basically shrugged and said it was my problem to deal with. It honestly felt like they did it on purpose to trap me into another contract. This place is poorly managed, full of hidden costs, and borderline predatory in how they handle contracts and fees. I would not recommend it to anyone. read more

DO NOT MOVE HERE! Glenwood takes advantage their tenants and use deceptive tactics to try to milk their clients for all their worth. I renewed my contract at Glenwood and expected the contract to be what it claimed to be... a RENEWAL. However Glenwood decided to change my late fees from $50 to $75 and charge me $30 to place a pay or vacate notice in my door. In our previous agreement they would put a pay or vacate notice 3 days after the late fee. This time if you're late it's $105 instead of $50. Last month because I hadn't gotten my paycheck I was willing to pay what I thought would be a $50 late fee because I was getting paid a few days later. However I was charged $105 because of what was previously mentioned. They also charged me $55 for a reserved parking pass that I never had. I few days ago I payed my rent and all of my service and utility fees in full to avoid another late fee this month. They purposely left a few dollars on my rent balance and placed it on another fee so they could charge me another late fee. So they charged me an additional $75 and threatened to place a vacate notice on my door and charge me an additional $30 if I didn't pay it off in 2 hours. read more

Will take half your security deposit for fake dust even if you record that you did everything right. Unfounded fees every month. Lodge is run down, hot tub never works, pond is a biological hazard. Management will hide behind policy instead of acting human toward you. If you value your money and don't want to work with a greedy organization, don't live here read more

The front desk is always rude, especially on the phone. I got multiple packages STOLEN from me by the front desk and was only able to get one returned from them after forcing them to open up the "Hub" where they put lost packages, aka packages that they steal. When I first moved in, there was mold all over the bathroom, and they expect you to remove the mold yourself for each cleaning check, so I used bleach, but the mold was so bad that it hardly even worked. Even after complaining to Glenwood about this, they still didn't care and proceeded to do nothing. They also made me pay a big fee for the white glove check (even though I cleaned spotlessly on my hands and knees till 4 am) because they let college students check off a box to see if it was clean. They aren't required to take pictures either, so they can fail you if they want. Also, the parking was horrible. They don't give you your parking pass for at least five months. The only way I was able to get mine earlier was because I had to park at the hotel behind Glenwood, and some creep kept following me back up to my apartment. I had to get the police involved (because of the stalker) for Glenwood to even think about giving me a parking pass that I already signed up for. It is impossible to have friends over because they can't park anywhere, or they will be towed or booted immediately. The pool was green the whole season during summer, so I couldn't swim in it due to maintenance. Also, the hot tubs were closed ALL season round. If you are planning to move to Glenwood, don't. If you do, make sure to take pictures of everything for any cleaning checks and keep up with your packages immediately after they are delivered. I wouldn't even wait 2 hours to pick up a package. I recommend not sending packages to Glenwood and sending them to the post office to pick them up instead. I promise you guys it may look cheaper, but everything you pay for doesn't work, and they always end up taking more money from you. Glenwood doesn't care about you. This place is so awful it doesn't even deserve one star. Parking is awful, apartments stink, the people at the front desk are extremely rude, and you are charged SO MUCH money it's complete robbery. They charged me 75 dollars from my deposit because we didn't replace any batteries. AVOID living here at all costs!!!!!!!!! They suck!!!! read more

I lived here last year for a cheaper rent and then this next year I bought someone else's contract. At the time when I bought it it was supposed to be $20 more than the previous year but when I went to sign the contract after they finally sent it to me (2 weeks before I was supposed to move in) that had actually raised it and told me they found some loop hole so then I was paying $55 more than originally planned for a crappier apartment than I had the year before. Worst part is we had a leak in our ceiling for about 3 months before anyone fixed it. Then our sink since the day we moved in has smelled so bad and no matter how many times I call maintenance they just tell me that I'm not using the sink right or that they cleaned it so it should be better when they just need to replace the tub the connects the disposal to the dishwasher EASY FIX!! Then to top the cake the mold problem. There was a wall in our utility closet crumbling to the ground because of all the mold in it. All they did was cut out a bigger hole and call it a day. And the best part is I also had a similar problem in my room. My room was the only room in the whole apartment with an old window so the seal was broken. In the winter there was so much water it was dripping down the wall and flooding constantly from all the condensation. That caused the worst black mold I've ever seen and it spread to other rooms as well. I had to legitimately threaten to call the health department in the office after 5 months of telling them this is not safe!!! It was making me and other roommates severely sick to the point where we legitimately had to leave and live elsewhere. I stayed with a friend most nights towards the end. And this is after I bought a new air filter. Then they finally just tried to re seal it but all that did was show them a wet window can't be sealed. Then one night they texted me saying they were gonna be there at 7 am the next day to replace it no warning or apology for the inconvenience. The list goes on and on for all the really terrible things that went on here. Each one of my roommates moved out early but since I'm from out of state I'm stuck here until I can move into a new place. The fact I had to threaten legal action and legitimately consult a lawyer to get treated with a little respect should say something. I had only heard poor reviews of "GlenHood" before moving in, but decided to give it a try because of low rent rates. After living there for a full school year, I can confidently say they are overcharging me for the quality of living conditions that they supply. Poor living conditions. The apartment was completely run down upon moving in. Mold was even present upon moving in. Internet goes down often. Appliances are outdated and barely work. For example, the stove only has one burner that works properly. Not enough parking for their own tenants. RA's and others who run the office often were cold and on the border of being rude. RA's never really do cleaning checks, they just walk in and grab the paper and leave. This just continually perpetuates the utter crappiness of the apartment. With no expectations, it's evident that past tenants have trashed the place. My favorite memory was finding the kitchen sink clogged. Maintenance usually takes days to get out, so we started taking the sink pipes off to clear them out ourselves. We were pleased to find the entire pipe filled with what smelled like crap and a dead cat, but looked like black grime. It filled the entire pipe and went farther down the pipe than we could manage to get to. This was build up that had to have taken years. All maintenance did was pour some draino down the drain when they showed up, which is doubtlessly why the sink was so bad. If you want to feel happy when you come home, or feel like you want to be comfortable and clean when at home, don't live here. read more

I wouldn't personally recommend living here. The furniture in the "newly renovated" apartments is really old, falling apart low quality. When I asked for a replacements they told me they don't have anything to replace the furniture. Glenwood Apartments Redstone residential only care about making another dollar off you rather than taking care of their tenants. I understand not upgrading the furniture to something nicer than what there, however refusing to replace furniture that's torn and falling apart before we even moved in is unacceptable. read more

I have several things to say. Terrible terrible parking, be very careful about where you park your car. It took them 7 months to give me a parking pass, and then they required that I purchase the $45/mo pass for reserved parking, no option for the much cheaper general parking pass. This business also closes at random times in an unprofessional manner. Random times, times when I have no idea why. Also what professional business would close normal business hours just because of church conference? Not everyone is of your LDS religion. You're a business, act like it. You're not even BYU approved student housing anymore. Also, everything is falling apart in these apartments. The "renovated rooms" are just old thin walls with freshly thrown on white paint (with bad paint jobs) and new floors that are already caving in. There is exposed wiring just sticking out of the walls, they threw white paint over it in hopes we wouldn't notice. The couches have got to be at least 20 years old, they're falling apart like nothing else I've seen before. And Glenwood refuses to replace them. Next lease they're going to charge like $100 more. read more

I will admit that I have had my differences with Glenwood. I wrote a pretty scathing review on their website leading those in detail, but have since been pleased to see that they have made significant progress toward fixing those issues. I am not an ra here, so this is not a biassed review. I feel that this complex deserves a redemptive review because here on yelp previous reviewers have failed to mention the positives and have inaccurately portrayed the reality of Glenwood. I do agree that the wifi situation is out of control as of spring semester 2015. We are charged $15 a month per person (six to an apartment) for wifi, which totals to $90 a month for honestly insufficient performance. Google Fiber will be installed here shortly, but I'm pretty peeved that I've basically paid enough to have that this whole time and I've gotten a horrible substitute with insufficient access points (an ra even admitted that to a group of us). They are changing that, though. So don't worry about that anymore. About the social scene: we are located across from the BYU stadium. BYU is owned by the LDS church, and Utah is about 50% LDS as is. The level to which you are accepted here socially completely depends on the individual decisions of each ward member that lives here. Personally I have friends here that aren't LDS and we invite them to come to church with us because it's what everyone does on Sundays and Monday nights. Not even to mention the free food. This can come across as "pushy" if not done out of sincerity, and most people who aren't LDS that live in Utah will report similar situations in their area if their neighbors have the wrong attitude. It is unfair to try and pin that on Glenwood alone, and that's common sense. Furthermore, the attitude of R.A.s reflects that person's character, and affects the lives of other residents, but every semester one or two of them leave, so by the time you've signed up after that last review most of those RAs will have moved on. Just a week ago my RA helped an international student get moved in outside of office hours IMMEDIATELY. My previous RA was a stud, too Many freshmen live here, so it can be a young demographic if that's what you seek. There could be more parking, and there are limited passes, but there is parking available 200 yds away from the complex on Canyon Road by the philanthropy building. I did that for a semester and the nightly walk was obnoxious, but bearable. The in building laundry is great too. other complexes have it in the clubhouse. Overall rent and utilities cost is standard for the area. Some places are cheaper, others more expensive. Since Glenwood is off campus housing there are lots of UVU students that live here giving a variety of people. The location for local friends that attend both schools is unbeatable. Unbeatable with emphasis. Glenwood has an amazing clubhouse available to use for parties. The pool table is terrible, but the pool is decent sized unlike most pools in the area. Every apartment has its issues. This complex has been around since my dad lived here, and they have since made upgrades and continue to do so. The apartment is also relatively spacious compared to those in the area as well. Though I've complained plenty, I give it a 3.5. Positive, but not yet stellar. Yet. I am a current resident at Glenwood, and I would just like to say how impressed I am by the staff. They went out of their way to help me out with a parking problem that was clearly my fault. They offer assistance even after office hours and are always happy to help. The apartments look kind of old, but we haven't had any problem with anything needing to be fixed. I love the atmosphere here. They had a different activity every day the during the first week of school and continue to have free food and games and a activities. The thing I like most about Glenwood is that you can't beat the price and how close it is to BYU campus. I love being able to walk to class. I've been really happy with my experience so far. read more

Even if zero stars was an option, I wouldn't be able to give them that because I met my hubby while living here...;) But gosh, not impressed with The Lodges at all. I lived here for two years and it was ok at first. But near the end of living here, I was even more happy that I was getting out. First off, they sneak a mandatory cleaning fee into your contract. It's an extra $35 a semester. So in an apartment of 6, that's $210 just for that apartment to be "deep cleaned." I happened to be at the apartment during winter break and was there when the cleaning crew showed up. They were there for all of 15 minutes and all they freaking did was mop my floors and clean out my oven. Not all apartments are clean, but we were an apartment with half of the girls being clean freaks. Cleaning out our oven was a regular occurrence and our floors were mopped AT LEAST once a week. And we paid how much for them to do squat? We filed a complaint, but management did not even care, just said it was mandatory. Talk about taking advantage of your consumer. That's bad business. We had mold growing on the ceilings of our showers...and again, even after being as clean as we were, we could not get it to go away. We had to voice a complaint several times before they finally got someone in to take care of it. There are so many offensives from these guys, but this last one takes the cake. I was the only one who renewed my contract for my apartment come summer semester. Everyone else was moving out. I left the last day of finals to go out to California to take engagements and was gone for several days. While I was away, I received an email from Glenhood saying that I could no longer live in the apartment because I was the only one with a contract there. EVEN WITH A SIGNED CONTRACT for that apartment, they wouldn't let me stay. So I said I would go over my options when I got home, but I would need a few days to figure out what I was going to do. They said that was fine. We returned from California a few days later; due to traffic, we didn't get home until 2:30a.m. And guess what. They had freaking changed my door code!! So at that point, we had to go through the list of on-call RAs until we found one that would actually answer their phones. He was skeptical of letting me into my apartment because he couldn't find record of me still living there. Are you kidding me? He finally consented, but he couldn't figure out the door, nor find the new passcode. So he used his master past code (didn't tell it to me), to let me in and told me that until they could figure it out, I would have to find an RA to lock and unlock my door. :| Eventually it got figured out, but I kept fighting them a bit on my contract. They wanted me to move into an apartment down the hall that was full of somewhat cliquey girls that did not want me moving in. Nowhere in my contract did it say I couldn't live there if I was the only person. They said it violated BYU's housing code, but when I asked them to show me the documentation saying that was so, they refused. Eventually, they told me that I either had to just move out in the next two days or they would change the passcode and I would not be able to collect my belongings. So I moved into this catty apartment with super messy roommates and have resented Glenwood ever since. Even though it is "cheap" you can find apartments for the same price south of BYU's campus on condo row that has better management. Not impressed with them and would never EVER recommend anyone living there. read more

Beware of letting your daughter live at Glenwood. Near the end of the winter 2016 semester, 2 young men showed up at my daughter's apartment at 6:00a on a Sunday morning to "clean". They let themselves in using the door code. My daughter and her roommates heard the noise, walked into the kitchen, undressed right out of bed, and found the 2 guys. The guys said they had to clean the apartment that day. The contract allows people to enter the apartment to clean at the end of the semester, which we paid $35 for, but it did not say that two young men could enter the apartment of 6 young women at 6a on a weekend, unannounced. I called the Glenwood office to discuss this the next morning (Monday), but their voicemail was full. It was still full for the next two days. Later that week, I was finally able to leave a voice message, but never heard back. A week later I submitted an email to their website, but have never heard back. It was over a week before the door code was changed. read more

Saying that this place is completely horrible is an understatement. 1. First of all, the customer service is horrendous. Since I moved in about 3 months ago I've had problems with the Internet they provide for us. When we bring this problem up to the Office, they say that it is our fault for having wireless printers that disrupt the connection and tell us that we aren't allowed to have wireless printers in the first place. When we ask them to show us where in our contract that it says that, they can't seem to find it or they "just don't have time at the moment." Same goes for having a personal router: they say that according to our addendum, we are not allowed to have an Internet connection of our own and that we have to stay connected to the wifi that the landlord has provided us. However and once again, the contract does not actually state whether or not we are allowed to have them. In a addition, the Residence Assistants don't do anything. They are supposed to be the people you go to if you are having a problem of any sort either with your apartment or with your living experience in general. When I approached mine about an issue I was having in the apartment, he said he would do something about it and let the ranking employees know, but nothing happened. I approached him with my problem once more, via text and a call, sure enough, he didn't respond to my text message (ever), nor did he pick up the phone when I called, and never ended up calling me back. The problem here is that the employees are tenants here too that seem to treat their job like a joke, thinking that their job is so easy, that when an actual problem is posed, they don't know how to handle it or that they just don't want to. In addition to the that, the Saturday hours here are horrible. Not because the office is only open for 4 hours, but because the employees still need to close the office halfway through that 4 hour shift for a lunch break. So really, it's only open for about 3 hours on Saturdays, because the starving employees need to take strictly structured work ours to feed themselves. 2. Again, the Internet connection here blows, having 300 people on one router tends to cause some problems. And once again, you're fined if you use your own router, even though the contracts don't state that you can't. 3. The walls and ceilings are extremely thin. If you're lucky enough to get a room on the top floor, then congratulations; you don't have to hear every step that is being taken above you, let alone any other noise coming from the apartment. 4. The utilities are extremely outdated. We've called for maintenance in our apartment because two of our four stove tops didn't work when we moved in. Sure enough, they were broken beyond repair. The refrigerator isn't very cold, I could easily bundle up in a few sweatshirts/jackets and rent the inside of the fridge out and live there for awhile if I wanted to (but the employees would say that our contracts wouldn't allow that either, catching on?). 5. (Before I begin this next one, I'd like to point out that I am a member of the LDS church, so the fact that I'm complaining about this means that it's pretty extreme). They are too LDS Church oriented. Those weekly activities they talk about on the website? Yup, Family Home Evening. Your apartment, as well as your group will shun you for not participating more in church activities, regardless of whether or not your a member of the church. Yes, you read that right. So if you aren't a member of the LDS church and don't plan to convert, this place isn't for you, because that is their only goal here; to make you member. It's intrusive really. 6. (Finally). We seem to get charged for more than we need to. The main thing is parking. Even after buying one of their already expensive parking permits, there is still a monthly charge added to your rent for parking. I don't understand it either. So what do I have to say about the Lodges at Glenwood in Provo, Utah? It's horse pucky. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this apartment complex to anyone. I'll admit, the floor plans and the apartments themselves could be worse, but it's everything else that goes on here that makes it a terrible living experience. I would recommend finding other apartments to look into. Personally, I have my contract until April, but I wouldn't be able to withstand another semester here, so I will be moving out in December. With out a doubt this is the best place to live. Close to just about everything, very nice apts and even nicer staff. With moving in and/or out, they made it incredibly easy. You also can't beat the prices for their premium apartments. One of the managers, Bill, was one of the nicest people I have ever met. read more

If I could give zero or negative stars I would. Worse place I have ever lived. The conditions are disgusting. The rooms completely outdated and not large enough to support 2 people. I felt crammed and uncomfortable. Not to mention both bed frames in my apartment were broken. Calling the office was futile. No answer and also they charge 35$ a month for paying with a debit card. I lived here for 3 months and was rarely there due to the conditions and I traveled a lot. I never received my deposit and the excuses where blatant lies because I was rarely there. So just called about my deposit to get back because I have been moved out for quite some time and they said it would be mailed to me by now, just spoke with some bitchy girl in the office who said they have on record that I wanted to come pick it up when I've called multiple times to check on when it would be mailed to me and NEVER said I wanted to come pick it up so finally I tell her I will come pick it up today and she says they can't find it and that it is probably just in the wrong alphabetic character, so these idiots cannot even alphabetize. So I say you've lost my deposit?! She says no it just looks like it's been misplaced, as if changing the word "lost" to misplaced will make me stop fuming at their incompetence. I told her I would be calling back every hour to see if they've found it and if not I'm coming in there. Don't live here. This is like the 5th bad review I've written since living there.
