I wanted to provide an update since The Loft has just undergone renovations. I love this place. At the beginning of the month, we watched Backrooms on a Sunday afternoon, and it was a great experience. The staff was friendly, and the place was clean. I love all the upgrades in themes and structure, including The Shining and Twin Peaks features. This is a great place to take in a movie.

What I've seen of the remodel it's pretty cool. I like how the Loft shows many Independent and Foreign movies. The new space is clean and well designed. The old space was showing its age. During my movie I went to the restroom and noticed the outdoor theater which is an interesting concept, but only really good about 1/2 the year in Tucson due to how hot it is or maybe they have a plan to put fans out or something like that.

I grew up in Tucson and hadn't been to the Loft in quite sometime! It was fun to visit again, and the girl at the ticket counter said was just renovated 8mos ago. It turned out nice! Service, and the theatre and the concessions were great! This is such a gem for Tucson. We saw the film ugly little monkeys or "los changuitos feos" it was awesome! Highly recommend!

I returned for the holiday sing-a-long and absolutely loved it! They change up the mash-up of songs each year, which keeps it fresh and exciting. Make sure to buy your tickets as soon as they go on sale because it sells out every year. If seating location matters to you, arrive early to get in line. However, since the lyrics are visible on the screen from anywhere, it's not a huge deal. I do wish they offered hard seltzers. They had plenty of beer options, some wine, and yummy eggnog-flavored BuzzBalls. The nachos, on the other hand, were very basic.

Any movie theatre that serves alcohol and shows The Room is good in my book. Done and done.

Great theater, comfy seats, good neighborhood/plaza. This is my home theater and I always go there when I'm in Tucson. Can't beat it.

Large, quirky, alternative cinema on a large screen? Larger cities would be lucky to have this place!

They keep this location pretty clean, they should do a deep clean of halls and common areas, bathrooms at least once per month if not weekly. Just a comfortable location to watch films. Its a classic run down AMC. Went here because I had a gift card, but I don't see me choosing it…read moreover Cinemark or Harkins in the future. Popcorn was average or below. The Prime theater is where I went and it was solid. Seats were nice. Most viewing angles were subpar given the way the seats were aligned though. Ordered a drink at the bar and it was really good so props there. Overall a fine experience, but I would pretty much always go to Harkins for the popcorn in the future.

One of the worst AMC experiences I've ever had…read more I went to watch Spider-Man: Brand New Day and was extremely disappointed with the experience. As soon as we entered Theater 12, there was a strong smell of old sweat, and the theater was extremely hot. It felt like the AC was completely off. I tried to sit through the entire movie, but I was sweating throughout the whole thing. It honestly felt like sitting in a sauna. I eventually had to leave mid-movie to complain to one of the staff members, but nothing was done and the AC was never turned on. After waiting through the movie and staying for the after-credits scene, one of the staff members came into the theater. I asked him, "Hey, is the AC broken in here or what?" He told me that the AC was broken. That honestly made me even more frustrated. If the staff already knew the AC was broken, why was Theater 12 still being used? They should have simply closed the theater and moved everyone to another room. Instead, customers were left sitting in an unbearably hot theater for an entire movie. Even the person sitting next to me afterward said how ridiculous and uncomfortable the temperature was. I understand that equipment can break, but knowingly keeping a theater open without AC--especially when it's hot enough to make people sweat throughout the entire movie--is unacceptable. It completely ruined the movie experience for me. By far the worst AMC theater experience I've ever had. I honestly don't think I'll be coming back to this location again.
