Vi visited this place when we went to Leavenworth for the first time ever. It was such a magical moment:) we got a table outside we decided to have dinner when it's dark outside so we could enjoy the pretty lights on the trees right in front of the bar. Although we did had to wait sometime so we got a waiting list because we really wanted to sit there outside and enjoy all the view and yummy food. Overall experience was 10/10. Famished and tired after a long drive to Leavenworth, my group of 6 buddies decided to head to The Loft because it was open until quite late. We arrived around 8pm on a Friday and were seated immediately. The servers were extremely friendly and the ambiance is what you would expect of a bar. Shroom and Swiss Burger - This was a pretty tasty burger considering how simple it was. Savory meat patty topped with mushrooms, caramelized onions, swiss cheese and mayo. Poutine Fries - This is what my group was looking forward to trying. Their version incorporates bratwurst, bacon and jalapenos in the gravy. Shredded cheese is added in lieu of cheese curds. It was a pretty solid snack, but we much preferred another appetizer. Pork Belly Tater Tots - This was the favorite of our group. So much so that we got it to go on another night. Crispy tater tots topped with melted shredded cheese, pork belly pieces, green onion, and a side habanero ranch. The Loft was pretty quiet during my visit on a Sunday afternoon in spring, although there were a handful of patrons enjoying their food and drinks. I stuck with water and was surprised to see they had a few vegan/plant-based menu items! Wonderful! The Veggie Burger and Veggie Wrap both sounded tempting, although I wanted a lighter option so I went with the Avocado Toast - Bosket Bakery sourdough, smashed avocado, cherry tomato, drizzle of balsamic vinegar ($9). The bread wasn't amazing but it worked in a pinch... the serving size was perfect given my appetite at the time. My friend seemed to enjoy his Beer Brat and polished the whole thing off. Our server was very friendly and helpful, awesome! The interior is a bit dark so if you want to enjoy the weather on a nice day, perhaps find a spot with outdoor seating. TLDR: The shotski was cool, the food is mediocre, the location is convenient, the service is really kind of terrible. We came here as part of a bachelorette (a group of 7) for dinner, a drink, and to do the shotski. Our food was alright, it's bar food that's kind of expensive which is basically the main descriptor for 90% of Leavenworth, and the drinks were neither my favorite nor least favorite. One of the main reasons we came was for the shotski and there were 7 of us so we needed both, our waitress appeared very stressed despite our pretty easy order of 4 fireball, 2 cranberry vodka, and 1 water shot (DD) for the shotski. Our waitress agreed to video us taking the shot.... The video is out of focus and only has 5/7 of us in it. I understand maybe she's not great at videos and that's okay. We moved on tipped and had a nice evening and didn't make a big deal out of it despite that shotski costing almost $80 of our overall bill. The next day we were talking about it though and the bride was pretty bummed about the shotski as it was something she was really looking forward to and she wished she had a video. We decided to go back to the loft and grab a table and some drinks and planned to just ask if we could redo the shotski with water just for a better video because we really didn't want to take shots at 1pm and also we didn't want to pay another $80. Our new waitress was immediately unwelcoming and basically told us we couldn't just come in and hang out and use the shotski for water which was never our intention. We spent around $500 the night before and really went there for one video and were asking for a chance to recreate it and instead we were treated like we were asking for a free handout (Of water?). We honestly did not even stay for drinks this second go around and decided just to go somewhere else because we felt as if this waitress did not even want to serve us, when we were not being loud, rude, or unreasonable. All we did was explain what happened, ask about the shotski with water and state we planned to order drinks, but probably not food. For a place the really is very mediocre, I would think that they would have better service to keep their customers coming back and I was pretty disappointed. read more

We live in Seattle and come here to visit at least once a year. We've always walked by but didn't bother to try them out until last year, and I can honestly say we've been missing out! I was a little disappointed at first because they no longer have the honey mustard chicken sandwich.. but luckily the chicken bacon ranch wrap I got was just as good, if not better! It had chicken that was juicy, thick cuts of bacon that weren't too greasy, lettuce was nice and crisp, and the ranch in it tied it all together perfectly! Not to mention the fries, and I'm super picky about my fries.. but these were great! Crispy and well seasoned, I didn't even feel like I needed a sauce to make them taste better. Hubby got the pork belly tater tots, and he loved those as well! Especially the ranch it came with, he said he's never had ranch quite like the one from this place! It was nice and creamy with some spice! Initially I thought it could've used more pork belly but he said it was the perfect amount! In any case, this place was unexpectedly great, and has joined our rotation of eateries to visit here in Leavenworth! We really enjoyed our food here! I got the red pepper chipotle burger, my husband got the A-muurica burger and my daughter got the sweet chili wings. The burger and wings were really good. I ordered the garlic fries which were good but nothing special. I also got unsweet tea (which was good) and my daughter got Dr. Pepper. The service was great and when we asked for a certain sporting event (the Women's Softball College World Series) to be shown on one of the TVs, they were kind enough to turn it to that. We originally planned to come to The Loft on our Leavenworth trip because 1) they were open late which was perfect (they open until 11pm) since we were arriving at Leavenworth relatively late on a Friday night 2) they had poutine lol. I ended up trying three things on their menu: 1) the aforementioned poutine 2) pork belly tater tots 3) honey battered sausage bites. First the poutine: it's not what you would expect. You'll see it right away because the gravy is a green-ish color which honestly is not too appetizing looking but is pretty good. According to the menu, they mince bratwurst, bacon, onion, garlic, and jalapeno (hence the green color) in their gravy. Also instead of cheese curds, you have shredded cheese. All in all, a pretty tasty poutine, though I wouldn't say it's better than traditional poutine. Next the honey battered sausage bites. They were pretty forgettable. They tasted mostly like very sweet corn dogs. Lastly the crown jewel of The Loft imo, the pork belly tater tots. The combination of the crispy pork belly and the hot, cheesy tater tots with the creamy ranch sauce they provide was just too good. We enjoyed it so much that we ended up getting the pork belly tater tots to-go Saturday night as well. I will forever remember The Loft as the pork belly tater tot restaurant haha. read more

Came in for a drink and a bite to eat and we weren't disappointed! I loved my Bloody Mary and all the food was delicious. Everything is a little overpriced but I would expect it from a touristy area. We waited for 15 minutes as he and the bartender obviously ignored us . They severed several people who came in after us . They looked our way several times , but nothing. We stopped here to grab a snack in the middle of the day. It's a "seat yourself" little bar in an upstairs building. We sat down and nobody approached to ask for our IDs, despite it being 21+. I grabbed menu from the wall by the door, but didn't know if I should go up to the bar to place an order or if someone would come to the table. We waited about ten minutes, then went to the bar - the bartender said hello but then busied herself with other things, despite it not appearing too busy. Then a waitress went behind the bar, did not acknowledge me standing there holding a menu, and finally when I asked if I place my order there, she informed me it is table service and someone would come take our order. After a few more minutes, she came over and took our order. The food was good (steak nachos and a pretzel) and my drink was pretty strong, so at the end of the experience I couldn't complain, I just would have appreciated better interaction with the people working. read more

The food here was pretty good, but holy crap the service was slow. We sat and waited for about 20 minutes before someone even took our drink order. We eventually got our drinks and then sat for another 25 minutes, completely unacknowledged, for someone to take our order for food. There were multiple tables that came in after us, got served, and left before we even finished our meal. Okay here it is... I've been to Leavenworth multiple times a years consistently for 20 plus years. I always like to ask the locals what's the best this or what's the best that. I've eaten at all the cliché local places. Tonight I asked multiple employees in different shops where the best burger was,,..I said no frozen patty,,,I want hand tossed goodness,,, I got blank stares, like I was crazy. So I started my own research, walked in and out of multiple places and was even seated at one and walked out...then stumbled upon your menu sign hidden by crowds of people with expensive ice cream and large wolf like dogs (why does everyone think it's a great idea to bring their dog to Leavenworth?) It had a nice list of burgers so we decided to go for it. Best decision of the trip. Hand tossed perfect burgers! As soon as we walked in we spied everyone's plates and they all looked amazing. I went with the Sourdough patty melt. It was huge and cooked to perfection with a side of au jus. The Mrs got the smash burger which was a double stacked huge burger with an amazing bun. If you're looking for a real burger and beer at an affordable price with great atmosphere and waitstaff this is the place. Oh yeah, the AC blows cold. Okay I've been in the industry for a long time and it takes a lot for me to rank 1 star but this experience was horrible. We went in for a drink and their amazing (well used to be) poutine. After receiving what tasted and looked like canned gravy over fries, we were appalled and told the server we didn't like it, and it didn't used to be this way. He said he's been there for 4 years and it's always been that way. Okay, well it wasn't good, whatever you gave us. Regardless, he charged us for it (after saying fine I'll give you 20% off the poutine). I'm sorry, but when did it turn into not liking something and getting a 20% discount? We didn't like it. Flat out. Typically you take it back, offer something else. Maybe say, hey you'd like this better, try it out. But I've never in my history of being a server charged someone for it. Absolutely disgusting restaurant. There was dust all over the walls, and dust on the fan right above us and could fall into our food. Our table and bench had a grimey coating on it as if it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Gave them the benefit of the doubt that maybe it had been a busy night. Frustrating because they obviously have COVID restrictions in place, ie. condiments individually packed, and mobile menus, however only one employee had a mask on. The food is served hot and fresh and the cocktail menu is constantly rotating, although they have a full bar so they'll make you anything your heart desires. We ended up here because every other place was full in Leavenworth. I had a feeling it wasn't going to be great because they were the only restaurant literally that wasn't full with a line. But we were starving so we gave it a shot. I ordered a chicken salad & the poutine fries. The salad had literally no flavor and neither did the fries. And some friends ordered the pretzel with sauerkraut and a brat and the sauerkraut was way too salty and the brat had no flavor. I'd actually say the best part of this place was their onion rings.
