A cute little breakfast cafe and taco place that I would certainly stop at occasionally if I lived nearby. The food choices are not as wide as I was hoping, but it's pretty good. I ordered three tacos all chorizo. The umami with the egg is excellent for breakfast. The cranberry hot sauce has an appetizing flavor. Although, I think it shouldn't be labeled hot sauce when it's like one Scoville below ketchup. The bowls and burritos look really good also. The best food in Leavenworth!!! We've been going to Lost Pig Cafe since they took over the space from Good Mood Food. We're not locals, but I don't think I can think of a time we passed through Leavenworth and didn't stop in. The food is so fresh, delicious and the most amazing flavors. We usually opt for the bowl option and they are always packed with protein and not a bunch of filler rice. My go to is the Caulifornian and add braised chicken...yum! Today we tried to carrot dip...the flavors were amazing and unexpected. They also make their own hot sauces...we pick up a bottle of the Poblano Black Garlic regularly. I came here on a Saturday evening around 5:30pm, with a party of two. I was able to be seated immediately at one of the several tables indoors. What an excellent spot! You are able to get all food options as either tacos, a wrap, or a bowl. I got the Holy Molé seasoned chicken in a wrap, and I also tried the La Javelina pulled pork in a bowl. Both were really good. The La javelina had a more wide variety of ingredients so if you're looking for something more fresh with some veggies to crunch, I'd go for that. But the holy molé was delicious too. The chicken was seasoned really well and it was filling as a wrap. Overall, definitely recommend coming here if you're in Leavenworth. We are on a weekend getaway to Leavenworth and are loving this town. La Javelina is one reason this town is so amazing. In our Yelp search for a dog friendly restaurant, La Javelina was top of the list. Let me just tell you we have been here two days in a row. That has to tell you something. This place is fantastic. The ambiance is simple but welcoming and they have plenty of outdoor seating. Our service the first visit was great. The gentleman that helped us (sorry we don't recall his name) was very friendly and accommodating. Today, we met Jamie. Jamie was great and loved our girl Lola. The food is amazing. The flavors are so good. Today we had the Caulifornian which is Cauliflower, Lentil, Sweet Potato, Peanut Salsa Matcha, Pickled Onion, Pepita Granola and the protein we added was chicken. We also had the Javelina which is Pulled Pork, Cabbage Slaw, Banana Pepper. I added cotija cheese. Both of these meals were so fresh, with loads of flavor and all around incredible. We had a peanut butter bar for dessert it was a great way to end our fabulous meal. If you are in Leavenworth and want an amazing meal , do yourself a favor and eat here. We stopped by for a quick breakfast and we got tacos and breakfast sandwiches. The portions are small and my breakfast sandwich felt dry to me. When you get there you go in and place your order and pay. They later bring your food out, for us it took a while, a long while. The service wasn't great, we asked for hot sauce and our waitress told us that it is inside and you're welcome to go get it yourselves (that's after leaving a good tip when we placed our orders and paid). After doing some yelp research, we came across this place as good spot for breakfast/brunch. It was a Friday and not too busy when we arrived around 11am. They have some nice outside seating and no indoor seating at the time. They have quite a few coffee drinks to choose from as well as breakfast tacos, sandwiches, and other tacos. I was excited to try to Dolly Parton taco, which came with beans and the roasted squash. I loved how fluffy the eggs were and the red sauce on top was delicious. I would have liked more of the sauce or a bit of salt/pepper to add on. The squash could have have used a few more minutes in my opinion as they were slightly undercooked. A breakfast spot that names its menu items after country singers. Some of whom include "Dolly Parton" and "Hank Williams" which is different and kinda cool. I got the Dale Watson - tacos w/ molé pork, egg, cotija, carrot escabeche, cilantro. Cool in concept but was mediocre. For all that's in it, it was just bland. Coffee was too. Overall La Javelina is average all around when competing with so many offerings in town. They may have a lock on craft Tacos, but there about a dozen coffee places cheaper and better. Unless you're seriously craving Tacos I'd skip. read more

Tried a few things and it's just not for me. I've never had a taco full of so many delicious looking things - but taste completely bland. We tried the Dolly Parton, Buck Owens, plum jam & ricotta toast, and also order a ham and cheese slider for the kids but they were out. Out of what, I have no clue. The breakfast tacos LOOKED beautiful but just had no flavor AT ALL! It was bizarre! It's like they forgot to add any salt or spices or anything. The plum jam and ricotta toast was just not good. The jam was bitter or maybe it was the burnt toast that made it bitter. It's just too pricey for such terrible tasting food. I'll also add that none of the employees inside wore masks. I ordered for pickup and they had a pickup window outside but I still had to go inside to get my food?? Tl;dr - food tastes like nothing, no COVID precautions observed, hard pass. read more
