You know what is lovely? Enjoying a Mother's Day experience with all your Mama-friends! The parking situation is awful here as it's a shared space so you will hopefully luck out with street parking OR parking behind the building. But once you get over that, it was quite lovely inside. There was music playing in the foyer - a bit loud right next to the hostess stand but it drifted nicely throughout the restaurant. We were seated promptly and our server was so nice! We each got our own pot of tea and they provided milk, sugar, and honey. We then got our Mother's Day food tier and wow! I wasn't expecting basic flavors but they had a really good curry pasty, cucumber sandwiches, thick scones, and sweet fruit tarts! They also provided take out boxes for us! Absolutely darling experience and I look forward to coming back with my husband

Afternoon Tea with Family - casual or fancy - doesn't matter

After trying many afternoon teas around the world (feel free to check my history with afternoon tea service in London, Paris, and Abu Dhabi) I can attest that this is absolutely in keeping with the best High Tea and Afternoon Tea service in fine tea houses around the world!! Lucky you Saint Lou!! Your options are: Afternoon Tea $45 for 4 handmade sweets, a sweet scone with cream and ham, and 3 finger sandwiches (most traditional service) ... or... High Tea $40 for a full savory set of five savory items which included a Cornish pastry on our visit, and a savory scones ... suggestion... Mix and match at the table so you get a little of both and you get some help with the sweets! There's also a children's option as well. It doesn't look like much on the surface, but once that scone hits your tummy, good luck getting through anything else! You may need to cancel any dinner plans too! As for teas... I ordered the Jubilee Tea because I love bergamont and orange- the staple flavors in Earl Grey blends- so that's a good option if you like a traditional tea. The Green Dragon full of sweet fruits is like sipping on diluted gummy bears or candy in liquid form- if you aren't really a tea person and like sweet flavors- this may be for you. The Tumeric Ginger is all the anti-inflammatory health benefits combined into something spicy and flavorful for sipping. The desserts were fresh and divine. The cream lovely. Scones were very flavorful and even filled the parking lot on the side with intense smells of butter, sugar, and egg. The loose teas are not kept in the tea pots but brewed in advance- which I actually don't mind- because it can get fussy sometimes and be over-steeped. The only two things I think would improve the experience is: 1. a bit more sound-reduction material in the dining space to help reduce the high clinking pitch of dishes against conversations, which currently only have hard surfaces to bound off 2. serving the scones warm to offer that extra fresh steamy scone experience and aroma Nothing that takes away a star- only to make it more divine and delightfully on par with the best of the best on the globe!!

I had previously been to the other location of the London Tea Room in 2024. Therefore, I was excited to return to the newly opened location in CWE. I came with a friend to celebrate her birthday. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. It took nearly 15 minutes for a server to even come over and greet us. We opted for the High Tea option. Sadly, the tea was the best part of my meal. For $50 a person after tax, this was a subpar experience from the service to the food to the ambiance inside.

Ambiance: 5/5 Lovely place for afternoon tea in St Louis. Perfect for family, friends or any celebrations. Little kids are welcome. There are easy parking at the back and in front of the building. Food: 5/5 This has wonderful varieties of tea. I love everything from my high tea platter. Service: 4/5 Service was decent. A little slow perhaps as it's a busy day. My friend was waiting for a tea cup for a long time. 20% gratuity is charged for large parties.

I'll start by saying that it's a cool little place, with a pretty great vibe. Nice China, white tablecloths and swanky feel. It's located next to a dumpy apartment building, with a fairly sketchy parking lot. So that in itself is really odd, as this place is not dumpy at all. Service is outstanding, tea's are solid, scones & pastries are nicely presented and prepared. The only reason I'm giving it a 3 star; crazy expensive for what you receive...$45-50 person...and I'm all about paying for a great meal in a groovy place, but not for this!!

My friends and I had a lovely late morning tea at the London Tea Room. The decorations are SPOT ON! It feels very refined and I just love the blue color and the paintings on there. We all had the afternoon tea, and with the help of our server (who was very helpful) we made our tea selections. Each person had there own pot of tea. I selected the London Tea Room classic tea, it was the perfect temperature and strength. The finger sandwiches of the day were an egg salad, chicken salad and tenderloin horseradish. All were delicious! Then we moved on to the scone with clotted cream. I believe our scone flavor was banana chocolate chip....it was soooooo good! We did get a side of the strawberry jam and that just made it even better - if that was possible. We had to take the sweets home, we just did not have the room to eat them there. All in all a great experience. Made sure you stop in the gift shop on the way out!!

What a super cute place! We had never been to the old location so this was our first 'tea' experience, and it was great. There is a back parking lot that is bit of a jumble, but we found a spot. There is also street parking. Coming from the back parking lot you enter through the back entrance and walked by the gift shop and the restrooms and through a cute hallway decorated with balloons. We were greeted at the hostess stand and led to our table right away, our reservation was at opening time but there were a few other tables seated already. The table was set and it was so pretty! I loved the mixed patterns on the table. Our waitress was great! Since it was our first time in, she went over all the options and left us to review. When she returned, she answered questions about the tea types and took our order. We opted for Afternoon tea which comes with your tea choice and a selection of sweet and savory bites. The tea came out in the cutest tea pots and was served with sugar cubes. I was nice and hot. I ordered Moroccan Mint and it was nice with a depth of flavor and refreshing mint. Our service came on a three-tiered server, with a selection of sweet and savory bites and each option came with three so we could each have one. We like the savory options the best, but to be fair I am more of a savory person and don't eat many sweets. Now that we have sampled this option, the next we will go with High Tea and includes all savory. My favorite bite was the curry chicken salad on a croissant! We also had a sausage roll that was good and a cucumber sandwich that was super refreshing! On the sweet side the best bite was the lemon tart, it lived up to its name in tartness with a great toasted meringue. A lavender macron, 2 super mini cheesecakes, a scone with butter and jelly, and a madeleine with chocolate filling. Don't miss stopping in the gift shop, lots of cute things, lots of tea! And the staff were super helpful and explained things nicely.

We had a lovely time celebrating my mom's birthday at the new London Tea Room location. The service was great, the teas (London tea room blend and naughty vicar) were enjoyable, and the food was aplenty. We ordered a mix of afternoon and high teas among the 3 of us. The savory items were great - our favorites were the cucumber sandwich and the curried chicken salad sandwich. The sweet and savory scones were huge and similar to how I remembered them from the Tower Grove South location and I just love the clotted cream. The sweets/dessert items, on the other hand, left a lot to be desired. Certainly nothing remotely comparable to a traditional afternoon tea set at any world class international city hotel. They were way too sweet which left us not wanting much - we took most of the sweet items home. I do personally think that if this is going to be a destination solely for high/afternoon tea, then LTR really should step up its game on this front. Their "product" as a whole, is quite ordinary, at its current state. Despite that, we enjoyed our time savoring all the tea and goodies and I'm so happy that LTR is back! There's plenty of parking, BTW. The location is beautiful. We will be back!

Transport yourself to a simpler era, when taking time out of your day for an afternoon snack with a caffeine boost could not - and would not - be skipped. This is British Tea Time -- and now it's in St. Louis!! London Tea Room delivered on, I admit, all of my lofty expectations: excellent tea, solid renditions of British staples, and refinement. Each person received their own pot of tea, plus cubed sugar (ask yourself the last time you saw CUBED sugar) and milk. Also included are generous portions of savory (Afternoon Tea) or a combination of savory+sweet treats (High Tea). Scones and other dessert items rounded out an extremely high-quality, late afternoon meal. (Would I wage wars to defend those cucumber finger sandwiches? That's a great question, but it would be a separate crime not to mention those mini lemon meringues!! The tang! The sweetness! I'm done for.) Sidebar about their pumpkin cranberry scones: I need more of those in my life. Perfectly sweet with just the right amount of density. And the clotted cream and jam!!!! Absolutely sinful with a velvet texture and a hint of cinnamon for the season. Everything was served on the gosh darn cutest tea sets and plates, each setting with slightly different patterns. On the white table cloths, this type of presentation makes the London Tea Room pretty much perfect for any type of special outing.

Took my mom for this unique experience. We had a great time in the elegant and beautifully appointed dining room. The service was flawless and our food (we chose Afternoon Tea with both sweet and savory selections) was delicious and surprisingly filling. Our Naughty Vicar tea was lovely as well. We even purchased it from the shoppe before we left. Will most definitely make this a regular thing.

A lovely and pleasant birthday tea today at the Tea Room. Service was exceptional and dutiful. Very courteous and attentive. The decor as always is breathtaking. The High Tea is a savory masterpiece that compliments the exceptionally delicious and high quality tea. Tell your friends! I made a reservation and came in way early thinking I made an earlier time and they accommodated me and got me seated anyway.Service is impeccable. They even got me a birthday cake! It's tasty.

We loved our time at the tea room. We are so happy they have re-opened and keeping the tradition of high tea! We had attentive service and an assortment of delicious savory and sweet treats! I would have liked my own smaller 3 tier plate instead of sharing the tier with 2-3 people. I will say parking can be a bit of a challenge, there is street parking in front or a crowded lot behind the building. Overall 4/5 would recommend if you love a good tea and time to chat with your people!

    Jodi R.

We were so excited to come after the new grand opening! We had never been so the waitress explained everything and gave recommendations. It was quiet and felt calm, the decor was beautiful! We were a big fan of the savory food, the sweets were just okay. Overall such a cute place and would recommend!

This was an afternoon tea service which is a combination of sweet and savory foods, this served one person, $45.

I do think the unplanned reservation caused delays (more than an hour wait) to get our High Tea food items, which were very well prepared and tasty, especially the scones! We picked two teas from the vast assortment available. Unfortunately the tea was ill timed and came after we had finished all our food. Overall, I still gave this establishment 4 stars as the atmosphere and food were great.
