Alex is the man! One of my friends is a local distributor and generously invited me along to sample Port Brewing's liquid product and learn about their brewing/canning process. Like most people who may have not googled Port Brewing and Lost Abbey's relation to each other beforehand, be sure to ask the staff of their story. I find the whole craft brewing industry in Southern California fascinating and really enjoy meeting people who are passionate of their work just by how animated they get speaking about it. Located like most breweries in an industrial area with easy off street parking. They have a numerous amount of selections; amongst them, I tried Board Meeting, Santa's Little Helper, Carnevale, Bat Out of Hell, Deliverance. I'm a huge fan of bourbon barrel brews. Beware, the taster portions are generous! Suggestions for the future: a flight board or labels to mark the tasters. This is quite the spot. Sharing the location with Port Brewing company you can get a whole lotta good beer in this one spot, right from the source. All of the Lost Abbey beers are here, plus they had a vertical Cuvee from 2012-2017 you could do tasters of for $5, that's amazing. I have been seeing a few more places do this, and I really like it. The bartenders were nice and served us when we needed/wanted and left us alone otherwise. The place inside is nice and open, literally just sitting a few feet from the bright tanks. There is no food here but it's all about the beer. With a huge selection and small pours you could easily make a few hours out of going through everything on offer, though you'd get wrecked by the end, it'd be worth it. This is the kind of place I like to go. Tons of selection, all from the source, and two great breweries in one? Yes please. You can order both Port and Lost Abbey from the same bar, and mix and match it's all the same to them, just one long line of tap handles. This is a must when you're brewery crawling SD. read more

I had no idea what to expect when coming to The Lost Abbey. It is one of those breweries that is hidden in an industrial area and you always feel like you are heading the wrong way but low and behold... you are going the right way. They are brewing in an industrial building and totally rocking the vibe. The Taphouse is in the front of the brewhouse in an open room type atmosphere. Port Brewing shares the same taproom as The Lost Abbey so you actually kill two birds with one stone. There isn't anything fancy going on but they are totally making the best out of most things made out of barrels and doing a great job at it. There is a bar with taps, bar seats and some other tall tops. They have PLENTY of beer to choose from, so you can't go wrong. There are also plenty of bottles to go as well. They even had a vertical available of one of their beers (Cuvee 2012-2017) which was a nice surprise. They are definitely a must on the San Diego beer tour! read more

This location might be a little more difficult to find since it's located among warehouse-like buildings but trust me, it's a nice "x" marks the spot! Julia, one of the best staff members I know, had me try the Carnevale and Road to Helles. Both are awesome! I'm a light beer kinda gal so these were perfect. Road to Helles tasted very light after Carnevale... that can either be good or dangerous. I'm still deciding. You can find both Lost Abbey and Port Brewing Co. beers on tap here. WARNING: smells like feet. No joke. You step outside your car and when you walk to the tasting room, it smells like feet that have been cooped up in ski boots all day. WARNING NO 2: if you ask for a "taste" of something, you get a huge sip to try because they charge $2 for each sample! Whatever. Who cares about my opinion... I will give you my experience though and you decide. I've been a long time craft brewer and every time I go to a tasting room the beertenders are happy to make sure the patron is guided to a solid choice. Yesterday I had out of town guests with me and we stopped in at Belching Beaver first. Those guys really understand how to run a tasting room and clearly love craft beer. Even while busy, they made sure our party had something we liked before filling our order. Compare that to coming here afterwards and our first interaction with the lovely human being behind the counter was "read the menu" when asked simple questions. He was so engrossed in the football game on the wall that serving us was clearly not his priority. Once he did serve us he poured the majority of us beers that we didn't like and didn't offer us a chance to return our drinks (or perhaps have enough seasoning as a server to know that when someone asks for a wild ale you at least offer them a sample first...) Numerous trips to the bar revealed this room can't be bothered to employ servers who care about their craft. It's like they hired a temp from some douchebag temp agency. A far cry from the Beaver. I used to love these guys but the experience I had yesterday reminded me there are a ton of breweries n San Diego. There's a reason these guys are still serving out of an industrial park while their competitors have way more to offer. Attitude is everything. Way to go guys keep it up. I love this brewery tasting room. I was treated so well by the staff that I need to give a shout out to the CFO, who by the way also rode his bike in the Waffle ride and came in while I was there. I came here twice this weekend,as we came up yesterday to get the packet for the race my husband is riding in today. I tried two of the beers that Lost Abbey specializes in called Angels Share, which was great! I also tried Shark Attack, which was really great, which is a double red ale and at 9.5 % alcohol, a taster was all I needed! read more

Like every brewery it is very hard to find. But we found it! It was very busy on a Friday afternoon, it had that typical happy hour buzz effect for ambiance. There are a few spots around the bar and a few tables and we were fortunate someone was leaving a table just as we arrived. We had the Boardroom for our first pint. Very lovely, smooth, hint of coffee. The next was a lighter red ...can't remember the name but it was light and very good also. The food truck came, he had a horn that sounded like a police siren and when he blew it, it scared the heck out of everyone...it was pretty funny. The food was a plate of BBQ ribs and some brisket. It looked good, but was a wee on the over cooked side. Potato salad and beans were good. Your typical brewery with the giant vats in the warehouse...but it did seem lacking in the various typical games these places normally have, like the giant jenga or what not. Plenty of parking, nice staff and nice clean bathrooms...WITH BEER... what's not to love? Definitely worth checking out if you find yourself in the area! read more

It's located in a warehouse right off of the 78. The inside looks like a warehouse with a bar serving beers from Lost Abbey, Port, and the Hop Concept. There is a lot of variety. The beer is all very well crafted; my favorite is the serpent stout. The location website advertises "playing board games with your kids," but doesn't actually have board games. Technically they didn't say they have board games, so that's on me. But what a stupid thing to specifically call out. Why not say "bedazzle a fedora while you're here," if we're just making random suggestions for activities that can happen in a bar? Beer was good, and the to go selection was nice. Bartender acted like he didn't want to be there and was annoyed whenever I asked a question about beers on tap. Go home dude. Many selections of beer. They also carry port brewery. My black parade is my favorite from lost abbey. A strong ale, brewed with cocoa nibs, vanilla beans, cinnamon, cardamon, smoked chilies and of course bourbon oak. Being at 12.5% is was just a smooth taste throughout each sip. Santa's little helper bourbon barrel aged is also an awesome beer that they carry from port brewery. At 12% with flavors of sweet Bourbon and oak, continues with hints of nutty dark chocolate and malt and finishes with a smoky coffee finish. Yuuuuuuuum!!!!!! Something that I find so unique about Lost Abbey is that each beer has a special story behind it. Gazing through the bar they have so many paintings and illustrations from the beers for sale. So cool! I wish they had food though or food trucks, I know for next time we are able to bring our own grub... Also if you ever need to buy beers it's best to get them at the actual brewery. We were so surprised how much we would pay extra compared at the actual brewery. My husband has always wanted to get his hands on duck duck gooze and how crazy as it sounds they had a couple bottles at the brew! What sucks is you are not able to take it home. Finally. Lost Abbey (& Port) is on the short list of craft breweries throughout greater SD County that are a "must" to visit. & considering all the SD breweries I've been to already, this was long overdue. It's not as if I haven't tried before, though. A couple years back, I stopped by with the beer nerd friend I homebrew with only to find out they close earlier on Sundays than any other day of the week. We did make it in before closing time, but I guess it was after last call. The beer nerd friend felt staff was coarse in telling us we were too late for a beer. Maybe. Bottom line: we didn't make it. Fast forwarding to my recent vacation when I stayed in San Marcos an entire week, I woke up every day only 4 miles from this place. It was a piece of cake getting here during business hours this time around. Accompanying me to yet another craft brewery was my partner in crime. By this point in the week, I'm positive she was convinced I was trying to drown her in beer. Arriving on an early Thursday afternoon, it wasn't crowded yet & parking was easy-peasy. The gentleman at the roll-up door, who looked like 1 of the Sons of Anarchy, was considerate & polite in notifying us about forklift activity as this is an operational brewery. In addition to a slew of tasters, I wanted to clarify what the deal was with the relationship between Port Brewing & the Lost Abbey. So, I asked. Bar staff was informative but did come across as being too cool for school. The answer was simple. Both are basically different divisions within the same company, with each brand/ label having its own focus. In the most general & broadest terms, Lost Abbey does Belgians while Port does hop-centric beers. OK, thankfully the answer was that simple because my attention span was waning in the face of all the beers I wanted to try. Less talky, more drinky. In all, we tasted 9 Port & Lost Abbey beers. My overall average rating on Untappd for those 9 beers was almost 4.2 out of 5, which is excellent. Hey, Lost Abbey (& Port) makes some damn fine beers. If that's the extent of your expectations, you'll easily find satisfaction here. I say that because my visit here was shortly before the whole Duck Duck Gooze fiasco. From what I heard about that, it sure sounded like Lost Abbey had a real sh!tshow on its hands with that bottle release. But, I wouldn't know personally. All I know is that I finally got to have beers here & I really liked what I had. It was a good day. Would I come back? Sure. Probably not for a limited bottle release, but this place is a "must" visit of SD breweries. read more

Although they may not be my overall favorite brewery (still easily in the top 10), the tasting room at Lost Abbey / Port City is without a doubt my favorite. Between the extraordinarily reasonable draft prices for some of the country's best beer, happy hour specials on top of that, food trucks setup in the parking lot, lively atmosphere, and huge selection, this tasting room covers basically every base you could want from a world class brewery (with the exception of easily accessible location, as Sahar R. points out, although I think that helps greatly in keeping the prices down). Read through any beer guide, rating site, app, etc, and you'll continually find these guys' beers at or near the top in almost any style. Compared to the prices we pay back home in DC you might have to do a double take when you see the beer board, because it's mind blowingly cheap. That alone is incentive enough to make the drive up here from SD to sample all day. The tap list rotates regularly, so although it's hard to recommend specific beers, some of my favorites that you can find here include Mongo IPA, Lost & Found, Judgment Day, 10 Commandments, and Old Viscosity. Some of these beers are huge, so start with a sample size if you're not familiar with them. If you're from out of town don't forget to stock up on a few bottles to take home as well. At $8-15 per bottle these are at least $5-10 less than you'll likely pay out of state. San Diego does such a great job supporting it's beer scene, I wish every city could emulate their model (ahem, DC, take note). And if you're lucky enough to plan your trip in such a way that you can make it here on Wednesday for the Hump Day HH you'll be rewarded with some great food trucks and specials from 4-9PM. Expect a crowd, but these bartenders are pros, and you won't wait long to be served. read more

Not my favorite brewery that I've visited of late. First of all, it smelled upon walking in. It was crowded which was probably a good sign. The beers were ok. Again, I'm not much of a beer drinker. The bathroom situation is designed for men. I made the mistake of walking by the men's stall area which was behind a wall near the entrance. If I wanted to see bare-cheeked men doing their thing, I think I would seek it elsewhere. Put a door on that, would you? The women's restrooms do have doors. After that, I was horrified and then I went to taste beer. You can see how that would leave a bad taste in my mouth. I wasn't impressed by the beers and what I wanted had run out. Not your father's beer. Unless your father was a trappist monk. It's simple enough. If you like Belgian style beers, this is your local Mecca. If you don't, it's not worth the trip. San Diego, for whatever reason, is home to a disproportionately large number of great breweries. Lost Abbey is a relative newcomer (2006?), but it raises the bar. Their brewery in San Marcos used to be the Stone headquarters, but when Stone moved to Escondido, the facility was taken over by the former head brewer of Pizza Port in Solana Beach. And they are really making a great effort to create craft beer. The Red Barn Ale, which is spiced with orange peels and black pepper, pretty much rocks my world. Judgment Day has dark malts and adds raisins. I haven't tried a lot of their seasonals, but experimentation is definitely the order of the day here. Aging in bourbon barrels. Fermented sour cherries. Wild yeasts. Basically, beer conceived by Dr. Frankenstein. There are also the old Port Brewing standbys. The Wipeout IPA is excellent, and there is no better bargain than Port's Old Viscosity. Awesome. You definitely can pick up bottles around town, if you know where to look, but they have tasting here at the brewery. It's hard to leave without a lot of clanking bottles in your trunk. read more

LOST ABBEY is not a frilly gastro-brew pub. this a working brewery and should be judged solely on the quality of what they produce -- for those of you without a keen grasp of the obvious that's beer. the five-star rating is not for the ambiance -- this place has all the charm of a WAFFLE HOUSE bathroom at 2 am on a saturday night (and i know 'cause i spent more than a couple saturday nights in WAFFLE HOUSE bathrooms in my misspent youth). the five-star rating is not for the service -- gum-smacking WAFFLE HOUSE waitresses with raggedy beehive hairdos showing dark roots (and cheating boyfriends that drink hard and argue with their fists) are more congenial. the five-star rating is for their not your daddy's fizzy, piss-yellow beer. i'm partial to dark, chewy brews and, though LOST ABBEY seems partial to BELGIAN ales, all their beers are amazing. particularly fond of their COFFEE MONSTER PORTER (shared a growler from the SAN DIEGO PIZZA PORT location) -- rich and smokey with strong coffee flavors, it was transcendent. if you don't rate LOST ABBEY five stars, face it, you just don't like beer. read more

He accuses himself of the following sins: - A deep down lust for a smooth and arousing Witch's Wit wheat beer. - The wrath he feels for inferior quadrupels after quaffing Lost Abbey's 10.5% abv Judgment Day. This would certainly be a fine choice with a last meal on Earth when the four horsemen of the apocalypse pictured on the label on the bottle come. - Envy of the awesome brewing setup they have here, complete with a new (and very expensive!) bottling facility and functional grain silo outside. It sure is better than his Mr. Beer kit at home. - The avarice which drives him to seek out a wealth of beer knowledge from their cheap $1 samplers and helpful staff, which elevates his beer snob status. - Sloth caused by the afternoon beer tours he has been on at Lost Abbey that have lead to rather unproductive evenings. - Gluttony incited on by the rotation of cool food trucks they have outside. - And of course... pride he has for the excellent San Diego brewing scene that is showcased well by the wide cornucopia of styles Lost Abbey brews -- including red ales, Belgians, wild ales, and saisons. It's more than just IPAs and super hoppy beers in San Diego, and this is one brewery that does the "other stuff" well. PROS: - The employees here all really know their stuff and pretty much all of them do home brewing themselves too. - Free tours of the brewery are offered and you can often just tag along with the busloads of brewery tour folks for a look at the back end operations. - They have quite a few barrel aged beers, which impart a unique flavor to them. - The $1 4oz samplers are a great deal and a good opportunity to try out several of their offerings. We attended the Lost Abbey 5th anniversary celebration with a few friends last Saturday and had a great time! Like a Lord of the Rings quest we jumped on a few horses (umm, a Subaru Outback) traveled for days (more like 15 minutes) loaded with supplies (two Starbucks coffees) and a beat up old map (GPS navigation from Costco). We traveled through mountains on dirt roads (California 78) across streams to the ancient city of San Marcos... Tucked back in a parking lot of a business park was a line 50 people deep waiting to gain entrance to YES, YES, MY GOD WE FOUND IT... The Lost Abbey!!!!!!! OK, the name is really cool but the actual destination is much to be desired but the beer here is freaking tasty :O) Anyway, for $15 bucks you got a commemorative tasting glass, 8 taster tickets, food ticket. It was packed but with mild effort you could get through the crowd to sample the many flavorful beers this abbey offers. Now, I was the DD so I only had a sip here and there but LOVED the tart beers. I will say, I was so impressed with what I did try my GF and I will be back to sample more so we can pin point our favorite (bottles of beer range from $8-15 bucks) so choose wisely. This quest also had nourishment and it only cost 1 red ticket! I had some killer BBQ pork and beef Mexico street style tacos. I mean these bad boys had loads of meat, onion, fresh herb, salsa, cheese and were the perfect compliment to strong abbey beer. While at the anniversary bash we took the tour. It's not really much of a tour you basically enter one building where they keep the wood barrels of beer fermenting. Seriously, you just walk to where they store barrels and stand there there listening about... I don't know, I kinda checked out after 15 minutes (I started taking notes because it started getting a tad lecturey...I was prepping for the quiz later that day). I don't like beer. My boyfriend loves beer. Being the awesome girlfriend that I am, I kidnapped him last Saturday and drove him down to San Marcos so he could do some tastings at The Lost Abbey/Port Brewing Company. We sat at the bar and the BF looked over their menu, decided on a beer and ordered it. The server asked me what I wanted and I told her nothing, I don't like beer. She asked what I do like and I told her wine. Unfortunately she didn't have any of that stashed in the back, but she did pour me a beer that she thought I might like, based on my liking of wine. Yeah...not so much, but, she tried! BF tried six beers and there were two that he really liked. Since I know nothing about beer, I won't even try to describe what he had. But, I do know that he purchased a growler of one of them, and he was very happy I brought him here. For Saints & Sinners alike! I've been here twice now. It is a pretty far trek out here from Jamul, so I've only been out to pick up my Duck Duck Gooze & Veritas bottle releases. What's not to love about this place? All the employees are super chill, great beers flowing, and so many dudes! Haha! I'm a single woman, what do you want from me?! For the DDG release, I was part of the Day 2 second time slot. There were a ton of people there, but it was very organized from the people checking IDs, to the folks issuing the bottles. The Devilicious food truck was on the premises. I didn't have anything but my friends got the crab cakes and they enjoyed them My second time in was this past weekend for the Veritas Release pickup. I believe there were far less bottles of the Veritas released. There was only a 1 day pick up and when we got there around 11:30am for the 12:30pm pick up time, there were not many people in line. They allowed us to go ahead and get our Free Pour tickets and the paperwork to pick up our bottles. Again, everything was very organized and flowed well. They had 2 food services catering under canopies outside the warehouse. We had some delicious brews: Veritas, Red Poppy Ale, Red Barn Ale, and they tapped some Spontaneous Cheer at 12:30 --- OMG, it was amazing! I love Sour beers! It tasted better than the Veritas, in my opinion. Their small pours ranged from $1-$3. We somehow, by the grace of the Beer Gods, scored an amazing Collector's Track Set for a meesley $450.00 (13 bottles, sick ass case, and other fun stuff inside)! Rollin' with an OG, is pretty legit! My only complaint is about how swamp-ass shweaty hot it can get in here... Sweatin'! If Lost Abbey wasn't so far away from me, I would come here on the regular, however if they keep putting out amazing beers, I do not mind making a special trip up to pick up some bottles and enjoy some pours! read more

I've had The Lost Abbey beers at tastings, restaurants and other venues so this review is not about the beer; but the brewery itself. After stopping at Stone, I have to say this place is kinda ghetto (For those smart asses out there - Yes, I know that Stone used to be there first) GPS led me to what I can only describe as an industrial area. In fact, had I not known the address, I would have passed this place by because I would never have thought a brewery would be located in an industrial warehouse type of facility. If you walk in the "office" like doors, you get carded. But walk in thru the loading dock doors and I guess the staff there doesn't care. It's busy but for the bartenders to ignore you and help people behind you while you're standing in their face is pretty bad service. Floors are sticky. One of my buddies made a comment that it's like what you'd experience at a movie theater. The adult kind. I won't even mention the bathrooms. You have to experience them for yourself. I like some of their beers. I don't much care for the brewery itself. I'll stick to enjoying there anywhere but where they're brewed. read more

Last stop on our North County Beer Tour My favorite of the three breweries visited. I was first introduced to The Lost Abbey at Bruski's in Mira Mesa. And when I found out this was a stop for the tour........ I was frickn ecstatic! This is one of the larger breweries in San Diego as far as tasting room. Decor is above the others and the barrel room in the back is really cool for photo ops. Service was great and fast! All the tenders behind the counter were very knowledgeable and accommodating. My faves: Mongo IPA Judgement Day Hop 15 TIP: Come here on a weekday. Weekends are filled with tour buses and far travelers so if you want to chill, relax and enjoy some fine craft beer, then come here on a weekday to soak it all up. Like most new breweries, this one is also located in an area with office buildings, so if you drive around and it looks like you're going to work - you're not, you're gonna have fun. Parking is odd, around a ramp and the actual brewery is way bigger than I expected. The bar is fairly small though, and there are some tables around, so you can enjoy any of their beers on the black board, or chilled bottles. They also have room temperature bottles that you can get to go, so bring a cooler! They don't sell food here, except some weird flavored pretzels (J/K!). Can't recommend any beers since this is everyone's different taste and preference, but you can sample or get a flight if not sure. This review is for Port Brewing Co and The Lost Abbey since they utilize the same space. Like many of the North County breweries, Port Brewing and The Lost Abbey are tucked away in a warehouse/industrial looking area. This gives you the sense that you're legitimately where that thing you're drinking is made... because you are. Hit the road, tuck into the industrial looking parking lot, and look for the open garage door looking thing. Slide in with your shades on and catch a glimpse of the offerings. If need be, ask for recommendations; the staff there has you covered. And don't forget that you can get samples, tasters, an half pours too. But don't be like that. Full pours or bust. The venue is what you'd expect a bar in an industrial zone to look like; plain and boring. Large bar area with semi-minimal seating and barrels to place your beer in and lean on as you check out that shorty across the way. Bathrooms are equally as plain, but still very functional for their purpose. I personally like the plainness and symmetry between the urinals (see pic attached). You got three urinals and a plop pot to handle your business. Once you're done gulping some suds and contributing to easing the drought with your bodily fluids, check out the mini swag section towards the back. If you're in the hood, I highly recommend checking out Lost Abbey. Just don't be that person who complains because it doesn't have all the amenities of a Gaslamp area type bar/brewery. read more

I have heard a lot about this place lately and had to try it when I was in the area. The setting is not what I expected. It's in a industrial park, and there isn't much parking. But forget the setting. This place is not trying to be Stone Brewing with it's beautiful grounds and fancy restaurant. (I'm not knocking Stone by the way. I like it) The Lost Abbey is 100% about the beer and nothing else. So it's basically just a tasting room at the factory. I was surprised to learn that the Lost Abbey is actually owned by the same people that own Port Brewing and Pizza Port. I love me some Pizza Port, but despite pizza and beer going together like Calvin and Hobbes, I wasn't sure how well some pizza mongers could make craft beer. The answer is pretty dang good. They have a dizzing array of options for such a small place. About 30 varieties on the day I was there, and that doesn't count many of the seasonal and special brews that only come out once or twice a year. I lean towards dark beers myself, and Lost Abbey didn't disappoint. The Ten Commandments was epic. Quite possibly my 2nd favorite beer I've ever had. (after McMennamins Terminator Stout) Absolutely black as night, thick, creamy, and just a little chocolate undertones, without the excessive hoppy bite that many dark beers have. I tried a few of their lighter beers as well, but wasn't as impressed. But out of the 5 dark beers I tried, 4 of them were flat out awesome. This place is also a pretty good deal. Most beers can be tasted for $1-2 for a 4oz sample. Most pints are $5-8 depending on which one you get. The only bummer is that some beers are only available by the bottle (ie, not available for the samples) and some are only available on tap. (ie, not available to buy and take home) But there are so many choices for both you shouldn't be lacking in options. They also have factory tours and explain how they make different styles. The tours are not set in stone though. They basically go whenever there is enough interest. So you may have to sit down and drink a few before a tour is ready to go. I love that they use real ingredients to achieve flavor profiles. When a beer says it has raisin undertones, that doesn't mean they think the roasted barley gives it a raisin like flavor, it means they actually put raisins in the mash during the fermentation process. Very cool. They do a lot of small batch stuff here, and they aren't big on precise measurements. So they can be slight variations from one batch to the next of the same beer. For example, I watched them make the Ten Commandments, and when he was throwing in the raisins & roasted barley to ferment in the mash, he basically just eye balled it. Pretty interesting process. I was told it gets crazy on Friday and Saturday, and the lines can be long. So the best days are Sunday - Thursdays. read more

I came to Lost Abbey on a weekly basis when I first turned 21, but on account of traveling/moving/life in general I haven't made it in for well over a year (possibly even two). I came here yesterday with my boyfriend for his first time, and I was shocked! Was my craft beer knowledge so much less extensive back then that I didn't even notice Port beers were here?! What a wonderful surprise! I hastily ordered a pint of one of my favorite double IPAs of all time, Port's Mongo, before remembering about the $1 tasters here...and I ended up drinking twice as much as planned, ha! Just as I remember, Lost Abbey beers are pretty bold, heavy, and sometimes even fruity, so I was happy to have the American style Port beers to balance it all out. I ended up tasting Lost Abbey's Ten Commandments, Red Barn, and Lost and Found as well as Port's Hop 15 (and my Mongo, of course). As an IPA girl those last two were obviously my favorites, but the Lost Abbey beers are so interesting! Definitely try Red Barn, you can taste and smell every ingredient (orange peel, ginger, and black pepper). Not my favorite, but these are definitely all beers I can respect for what they are. Overall, I love the variety, the low-key feel, and the little details (such as the unique decor and bar snacks). I'll be back ASAP! read more

Love the beer! The carnivale was heavenly- fruity yet full of substance. We went for 10 totally tasters and had a very good overall experience. You can taste about everything if you are brave .... you will be sure to find one you love. Rest assured they have awesome barrels you can set down your little tasters so you can socialize, drink and be merry. The awesome thing about this place is the feel of it ...the ambiance ...vibe ...atmosphere .... was amazing. The place is nestled in a huge business industry park but don't let that fool you. As you walk in you feel like you are in a fancy lighted up dive bar. High ceilings welcome you. Light from the outside pours in and lights up this warehouse looking brewery. Menu is extensive but friendly. Names the beer , the main flavors, alcohol content and price. Eye friendly (unless you had way too many tasters ...in which case it's time to slow down ...especially if you are driving)! There are workers walking around to answer any of your questions ..or to help you take group drunk shots. ..whatever you desire. They also provide water you can self pour, and t-shirts for sale. Two sets of bathrooms are in-house. Food trucks are parked right outside from time to time. There was a Thai one when I went on a Sunday and they were sweet enough to find me inside and bring me my gyozas! Awesome service! Really enjoyed this place.
