Not for me. I, personally, will not be back. I had the steak and my husband had the burger both of which were fine at best. My mom and dad had the lamb which they raved about and said was very good. We shared the shrimp macaroni and cheese, and it had a very overwhelming flavor of egg. It was offputting. We did a side of potatoes and I did not like them. It's a cute restaurant in a cool location but the food takes absolutely forever and the menu is limited. Service was lovely. That's really where they got their stars. Pretty disappointing experience overall. The service was extremely slow even though the restaurant didn't seem very busy & it was a real hassle trying to refill any of our drinks. Our waitress was nice, but the food itself was surprisingly average and honestly felt like something you could easily make at home. The biggest issue for us was the manager's attitude when we were showing our IDs to order drinks. He really only seemed to double check one of them, which is completely fine, but the way he handled it was just unnecessarily rude. Instead of simply checking it and handing it back, he basically tossed the ID back toward us, scoffed, and came across like we were inconveniencing him. There was no politeness or explanation, and the whole interaction just felt weird and uncomfortable for something that should have been completely routine. I have been to The Lot several times. Usually I am here for either breakfast or lunch, and this visit was on a Sunday in the late morning. The restaurant has a bar, indoor seating, and outdoor seating. There is also a cigar bar in the upstairs area. I typically visit during the week, and it is not too crowded. However, it was very busy on this particular Sunday. We had a reservation, and were sat within a few minutes of arrival. I would recommend a reservation on the weekends, or when you are seeking specific seating (such as the patio). Though not specifically on the menu, I was able to order a plain iced coffee to drink. Appreciated the waitress being able to make this. It was exactly what I was looking for and hit the spot. I have tried a lot of the menu during my several visits here, but today I had the Chorizo & Sprout Hash for my main meal. It was good, and I loved the texture of the brussel sprouts with the sauce. All of the "hash" dishes I have tried here have been winners. I also got a side of the Crispy Redskin Potatoes. This is by far my favorite menu item here, and I always recommend them to everyone. Additionally, I sampled some of the Thin Crispy Pancakes. The texture of these were great, and they sort of reminded me of a funnel cake. Our waitress was quick and friendly. We had great service throughout our entire visit this day, despite the restaurant being full and busy. I love The Lot and keep coming back. I used to work in the area, and would come here more than I do now, but even so I still will make the trip to enjoy a meal. We got the steak appetizer and the burger. Both were solid picks. The service was very friendly and timely. They were communicating the menu, refilling drinks, checking in, and delivering hot food. And my MAIN BEEF is, why can't you spring for some long sleeved thermal shirts in Navy Blue with your logo on it for your servers. You keep buying up restaurants. When I made the reservation I mentioned I was coming for a reason and it wasn't even acknowledged but whatever. I ordered the steak medium well it came out charred but still pretty pink in the middle but I ate what I could and took the rest to cook the next day. The mashed potatoes tasted instant and very little seasoning definitely not like a garlic mash. I didn't like any of the sauces I tried the chimichurri sauce with I usually enjoy at other restaurants I think it was too acidic for my taste and the creamy pepper sauce which was just bad. The saving grace was the broccolini and the chicken parm my friend got. The veg was cooked well and the roasted tomatoes with the breadcrumbs on top really made it delicious. The chicken was was flavorful and it was topped with burrata cheese which is always a show stopper. I had reservations for dinner on a Saturday and was seated promptly right by the kitchen entrance. I got the New York strip steak($48) , onions rings(+$10), double pork chop($39), and a bowl of cream of crab soup($10). The soup came out quite quick and tasted good although it felt a bit on the just warm side. It was quite creamy and a fair amount of crab meat. Bread was mediocre. After about 20ish minutes the main course came out. The New York strip was cooked to a medium/ medium well and bit over charred. I was very disappointed as it was not seasoned at all. Literally just a ny strip placed on a grill. I thought the Chimichuri would help it but i was completely let down. The chimichuri sauce had no salt or lemon in it, it was straight oil and herb thrown into a sauce container. The pork chop was quite thick as it was two pork chop, very moist but lacked flavor, thankfully it was in a sweet sauce. Surprisingly I found the sides to be my most enjoyed part of dinner. The Brussels sprouts and onions rings were crispy and seasoned excellent. Service was also a tad disappointing since we didn't get much attention, perhaps because we were seated right at the kitchen entrance. We went without water refills for the entire dinner. Lasty there was a 4% added surcharge for credit card usage. Overall I was quite disappointed with the overall food taste for its price and the whole experience itself. We used to love this place and some of the food is still great. Love the ambiance. Love their drinks. Last night my fiancé got a steak and it was charred to black. Completely over cooked to ash. It was a almost a $60 steak so for it to be messed up like that is pretty sad. Our server didn't say anything about it (I feel like as a server you should use common sense and look at the food you are bringing out and not just blindly put it down.) Additionally, it's an area more for lounging versus a meeting because of all the small clusters of armchairs and small tables scattered about. The spread of food they had was pretty good. I really liked all the flavors of their meats on the charcuterie board. Their mashed potatoes, roasted carrots, salmon, and chicken Parmesan were pretty good. One thing I didn't love is how they said the chicken was cooked in the same oil as seafood - one of my friends with us is very allergic to seafood so she didn't chance it with the chicken. We sat inside as we were not expecting the weather to be warm enough to eat outside on the large covered patio. We had an anniversary brunch for 15 people planned months in advance for our elderly parents. When I saw the temps would be extremely hot today I called twice last week to confirm there were misters or fans. One of the hostesses told me "yes our patio is air conditioned"! I asked her again are you sure there's "AC"? Which seemed odd to me and she said yes. Today when we arrived there was of course NO AC on the patio.
