Impossible breakfast sandwich with a side of spinach
    Samantha L.

I had an amazing Sunday brunch at The Lot with my family! We were able to walk in and only waited a short time before being seated. The menu had a lot of great options, but I was so excited that they had an impossible breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel. I paired it with a side of spinach and everything was absolutely delicious, my new favorite brunch in Pittsburgh! My family all loved their meals as well - the portions were very generous and the ingredients fresh and thoughtful. I can't wait to go back again for another meal!

Pretty disappointing experience overall. The service was extremely slow even though the restaurant didn't seem very busy & it was a real hassle trying to refill any of our drinks. Our waitress was nice, but the food itself was surprisingly average and honestly felt like something you could easily make at home. The biggest issue for us was the manager's attitude when we were showing our IDs to order drinks. He really only seemed to double check one of them, which is completely fine, but the way he handled it was just unnecessarily rude. Instead of simply checking it and handing it back, he basically tossed the ID back toward us, scoffed, and came across like we were inconveniencing him. There was no politeness or explanation, and the whole interaction just felt weird and uncomfortable for something that should have been completely routine. On top of that, they served us extremely burnt bacon, which I'll include a picture of because it really speaks for itself. All in all, surprisingly average food, very slow service, and an unnecessarily rude interaction with the manager. Definitely not the experience we were expecting.

Only lost a star because of the bread! Sat outside on the patio and it was a great evening. The service was great, everyone was kind, attentive and quick. The bread was dry, hard to cut apart and just nothing special. Got potato croquettes as an app. They were good and it's not that spicy even though it comes with firecracker sauce and jalapeños. My main was the hangar steak salad wedge salad. The steak was soooo good. The potatoes threw me off but I guess it's a fancier way to have fries on your salad. I was very happy with my meal.

I had my hands full with my child, so my review lacks pictures. Oysters were excellent - I did snap a pic of those. I had a chicken salad, and it was tasty. I loved the shallot vinaigrette. My daughter's mac and cheese was so good. Get the mac and cheese as your own side. It's delicious! The patio is wonderful for a summer meal.

Spacious restaurant with modern decor and huge portions. Oakmont should rejoice at the gem that they have in The Lot! Tucked at the end of the road, The Lot feels like an oasis with ample parking, beacon of a huge sign, and modern facade in a somewhat aged main road of a town otherwise. With large glass windows shining in the natural light, the restaurant feels classy yet comfortable. Perfect for a date night out, a corporate outing, or just a lazy weekend brunch! The menu is filled with modern ingredients and popular dishes. I've eaten brunch, lunch, and dinner here.. but this outing was just for lunch! I ordered the Pickle Fried Chicken sandwich with a side of Onion Rings. As you can see, the sandwich was HUGE. Not just a simple chicken breast, but a butterflied breast that could feed a small family. Even with the toppings piled on, the bun held up and the sandwich was sooooo good. Don't sleep in the onion rings... these were basically deep fried bracelets. I'd consider it as an appetizer for the family with how large the portion was. Everyone at our table grabbed a to-go box.. even those who ordered just a salad. To top it off, the service was phenomenal. Even with a pretty busy midweek lunch service, our waitress was always available for refills and any request.

I'm a big fan of The Lot for breakfast/brunch but haven't been for dinner in years. I recently went for a quick app and drinks. FYI- they only offer happy hour specials at the bar. I ordered a glass of wine on top and then a frozen espresso martini. Both were great! The martini tasted like chocolate milk lol. My husband really enjoyed his gin martinis. We ordered a cheese board that was fine, nothing out of this world. My biggest complaint was the price - 2 drinks each and a charcuterie board cost us $100. So be prepared that it's expensive.

We walked in on a busy Friday evening, it was packed but there wasn't a wait to be seated. The three of us sat at our table looking over the menu for at minimum 15 minutes. No one approached our table to welcome us or take our order. So, we walked out. So disappointed.

Love this spot. We've been here for breakfast many times and the menu is massive with tons of options. Their vegan breakfast sandwiches with Just Egg and vegan breakfast sausage are so good, and they're one of the few places in Pittsburgh that even carries Just Egg. And wow, those breakfast potatoes are divine! The restaurant is huge and great for large groups. We've been for both breakfast and dinner and are already looking forward to coming back. Service is always warm and friendly.

Western-style omelet & potatoes to die for!!

My business team decided to enjoy lunch out so we chose The Lot at Edgewater. It was situated in Oakmont in beautifully tree-lined streets and a sunny afternoon. The restaurant was buzzing at noon but the waitress was cheerful and helpful taking our drink order but giving us time to catch up. The restaurant was airy and seating spacious so we felt comfortable. We ordered and enjoyed the comfortable booth. Our food arrived hot, aromatic and absolutely delicious. I ordered breakfast and it was fabulous! The potatoes were absolutely to die for and the omelet well stuffed... My teammate ordered lunch and raved the salad was delicious. We plan to visit again and I suggest you stop in...

Still loving the The Lot at Edgewater! My friend and I recently came here for brunch. I booked a reservation on Open Table the night before for a 9:30 am reservation the next day. As always our service and food were delicious! I ordered a frozen espresso martini (so good!!) and the short rib hash. Still one of my favorite brunch spots in the area!

A nice place in Oakmont. Met a friend for breakfast. There's lots of seating options and a large bar. Our server was absolutely amazing and sweet! She was so kind and on top of everything. Price wise, it's a little steep for breakfast. For two of us, it was $80 for 2 of us. Not the type of bill I'm willing to pay regularly for the first meal of the day.

What a lovely restaurant! We were able to call ahead and make a last min reservation for Sunday brunch. I highly recommend making an apt as this is a busier spot. We were immediately sat our table and were greeted by our server, Morgan, who was lovely! She was very attentive and polite, and had good timing on checking in with us. Very affordable pricing for the quantity and quality of food you get and it was also served hot! I went with yummy hot mocha latte for my drink. Very spacious restaurant, yet had a cozy and comfortable feel.

This coffee shop is located right on Freeport Road in Blawnox. The inside is cozy, with photos on the walls, a couple of pastry cases, and a wall full of plants and plant-themed artwork. The bright wood tables, arranged in a herringbone pattern, paired nicely with the baby blue chairs and gave the shop a welcoming feel. After seeing that they exclusively served Rosa beans and seemed very proud of that, both my wife and I decided to order Americanos. My wife chose hers iced while I went with mine hot. My daughter ordered a cinnamon swirl, and I added a chicken empanada. About five minutes later our entire order was ready, and we headed back to the car. I started with the empanada. It had a nice flaky crust, and the chicken filling had good flavor, although it was a little on the dry side. My daughter didn't share her cinnamon swirl, but she assured me that it was good. After finishing my empanada, I moved on to my coffee and thought it was excellent. It opened with a touch of bitterness before settling into a smooth, rich coffee flavor that I really enjoyed. I was hoping to pick up some distinctive varietal notes on the finish but wasn't able to find any. Even so, it was still a very enjoyable cup of coffee. My wife also enjoyed her iced Americano. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Both my wife and I enjoyed our coffees, and the food made for a nice accompaniment as well.
