Her walls are decorated with local art and she offers many unique items in her shop, both local and international, as well as yoga and meditation classes upstairs. This eating experience was mediocre. I was excited at the outset to have some nutritious food options. The salad was just spinach put on a plate from a bag, carrot shreds from a bag, canned garbanzo beans-- the tomatoes were overripe and mushy, and the house dressing was very strong and "earthy," not lemony at all. My drink, the Rainbow, was good, but had pieces of something in it, so it wasn't pleasant to drink. The girls working there were nice and helpful. I would rather drive to Omar's Rawtopia for an outstanding, nutrient-dense, well-crafted salad. read more

in an effort to support local businesses and cafés, my sister, and I visited the lotus café today. It has always been one of our faves. However, today we stood in line behind six or seven people to place our order. When we got up to the counter and it was our turn, we were abandoned. Three staff members were in the back within clear view to us. one with washing dishes, one was making a sandwich and I'm not sure what the other one was doing. Nobody ever looked our way, came to take our order, acknowledged us in anyway. We stood there for 5 to 8 minutes waiting to be served. We ended up leaving. WHAT AN AMAZING LITTLE GEM. Due to the road construction it was hard to find but totally worth it. Great menu and nice little outside patio to sit at. Our kids got banana split smoothie, that was delicious and they even gave us the extra 1/2 in the bottom of the blender. We had a red quinoa bowl and falafel bowl. Both were well made, DELICIOUS and very filling. The falafels were freshly made and I will be recreating the quinoa bowl at home. The Lotus would be a weekly dinner spot if we lived in Ogden. WOOOOOOOOOWWWWWW 10/10. Not only does the staff bake to perfection but it's also catered to people whom have food sensitivities (dairy free, gluten free, vegan/vegetarian). The rest of Ogden will need to step their game up as this is high quality and non traditional baking. The people whom own and work here deeply care about quality food and ingredients. You leave feeling nourished after eating delicious treats. As someone who is not only health conscious and has sensitivities but just a straight foodie. The ground floor cafe has tasty healthy food (especially like their soups), and adjacent gift shop with comfy seating offers all kinds of healing items like incense, stones, books, jewelry, essential oils, tarot cards, etc. The downstairs yoga studio is really a beautiful, peaceful space and there's a wide variety of classes and workshops. The lotus longer is such a cute little shop. I haven't done the yoga classes yet, but they had lots of nic nacs and I did eat at the cafe. Friendly staff, nice location, nice store inside, and nice small deli. I tried the two most popular sandwiches as recommended by the owners. The turkey club and spitz. I liked the spitz pretty well. They put a lot of meat on the sandwich, the bread is good, and the ingredients and sauces were all good. I want to go back and try more. I'm not a huge yogi. The extent of my yoga practice has consisted of me using an iPhone app at home. With that being said, my friend invited me to the free spring equinox yoga in the park that the lotus spot put on. Although it was cold, I really enjoyed the class. My friend and I both won a free class at the studio so we decided to go to an Ashtanga class. Wow, it was intense!! But I really, really loved it. Also, the instructors here are so kind!!! It does not matter where you are - beginner, intermediate, or advanced - they will make sure that you have the best yoga class that you can. They really are accepting. I was so nervous to go to a study because I'm not flexible, but I can't wait to go back. If you're more advanced, I think this is still a great place. My class consisted of many advanced students who could do all sorts of poses that I could only dream of. If you want to enjoy some yoga, check this place out! read more

Great find! Fresh whole foods with quick service. Best was the raw desserts, yum! Decadent raw chocolates and a wonderful strawberry cream "pie" made with a crust of pecans and dates.
