They don't try to push you into adding services or new parts unless you really need them. They are very honest and efficient. I went 3/18/25 @6:38 before closing and they was already cleaning one side of the Bay Area off. The assistant manager on duty cause I looked him up came to my car said system was acting up all day but back working and those two cars was the last two. I'm like it's before 7 don't you all close then. he then went to say they was going close early but no notice was up stating that. after I expressed how that was messed up being I'm here Before closing. He then says if I have time he could do after that car. Naw I'm good you can't do at all I'm go someplace else. Mind you I've been coming there since 2004 or so. They do other checks on the car as well which is nice such as lighting, coolant, and wiper fluid. I have been using Lube Center since 2012 and over the years they have serviced four different cars for me. I purchased a 2019 Nissan Altima last June, but since I have free oil changes, normally take it to the dealership for service. In between services, I needed a new air and cabin filter, so I dropped into The Lube Center thinking I could be in and out without serviced with the dealership, wrong! The did not have cabin filters for my car. I recall having the same issue a few years back with my brand new Nissan Rouge. The company definitely needs to keep up with the times and what sure they they have the material in stock to service virtually every vehicle on the road. Other than that mishap, my oil changes are always a breeze! I love that you do not have to leave your car to have you vehicle services. Perfect for parents with young children. The staff is always knowledgeable and friendly, offering your juice and water as you wait. I'd definitely recommend them for your next oil change, maybe call in advance to ensure they have the prior filters for your make and model. read more

I have been a customer to lube center in my earlier years, but I go to my dealer now since the service is included, but my wife has been taking our odyssey to lube center for years now. This review has been long overdue but here it is. I am extremely pleased with the customer service from lube center. In so many occasions my wife has taken our vehicle in earlier than needed and instead of just taking her money and doing the service, they topped her off, checked her basic functions of the vehicle and sent her on her way no charge. The loyalty to their customers is beyond 5 star. Some other places (jiffy lube) would have easily taken advantage of a female and take her cash for a service which wasn't needed or due. I was in the middle of a move back at the end of August and I knew that I couldn't risk wasting any time waiting for my vehicle to be serviced at the dealership. My coworker mentioned The Lube Center, as she had seen their sign advertising quick oil changes. I called immediately and asked if they require appointments. They told me that I could bring my car in and have it serviced that day. They performed a multi-point inspection, checking for the function of my tail lights, AC, battery, and oil all within 30 minutes. It would have been quicker, had I have opted out of a few recommendations that they made. I never once felt like they were selling me on unneeded services. You stay in the car the entire time, and I have to say they have some of best music playing while you wait. They were super kind and gave me a discount once they heard that I was in the middle of packing for a move. They offer military, and public servant discounts. Every service comes with a coupon for a free car wash and if anything should happen to your vehicle as a result of their work, you can return and they will take care of it or have you go to one of their regional centers. The staff seems to love what they do and takes great pride in providing above excellent customer service. I only wish that I would have known about this place sooner! read more

The Lube Center has always been my go to ( my dad made me a fan of this location when I was a teenager.) Today we brought my husband's SUV in to get an oil change and had a few other things done. They were knowledgeable, honest, and efficient. Rodney the assistant manager of this location went above and beyond when talking to us about the car. I want to give more stars because I have experienced good service here. However, lately, not so much. I felt like my service was rushed, I could tell the attendees were tired or in a bad mood, probably ready to go. They weren't friendly as in past visits. Twice now I've brought my own bulbs to be changed out and both times I was given an excuse as to why they couldn't be changed. The first time I was told that I bought the wrong bulb, but I knew it was the right one because I had to research it and upon purchase I had the clerk at a car store double check. I ended up going home and changing the bulb myself and it was the correct bulb. Same for the headlight just this past weekend. This last time they did not check or even mention my air filters which I know need changing. The best part of The Lube Center is being able to stay in your car and the free car wash coupons they give. I may need to find a new location to get the customer service that was lacking at the Berger Road location. read more

The Lube Center can be easily missed when driving on Snowden River Parkway. But I am glad Yelp and Google was able to point this place out. I came in thinking I needed a battery change, but thankfully the staff checked and it was not needed. Instead Darrin (Asst Manager) came to me answering my queries (as I am not car savvy) and noticed that I have not had a transmission maintenance for ~50k miles. Long story short, Sheehy Honda Service jipped me, so Darrin took it into his hands to help me out, which he then found out there was too much of something that needed to be drained or whatever. He also gave me a CarFax, which showed me what has been done to my car. I am very thankful for Darrin and the staff and this will definitely be a place I will be going to in the near future for oil changes and other things that need to be fixed in my car. Also the workers here look happy and not miserable like other places, so that just shows that they like what they're doing. The Lube Center has helped save me time, money and worry again and again. Paid my first visit to this location, knowing that I had a tire with a nail in it that was slowly seeping out air. I hadn't gone to refill the tire in awhile and something told me to find the nearest LC just in case. Despite this being a smaller location than I am used to, there was no wait and I was ushered right in. I didn't quite catch his name, but a lovely employee took the time to discuss my concerns and told me he'd take a look at my fluid levels, topping me off for any that seemed necessary, and would fill my tires with air. At Lube Center, they fill your tires with air for FREE and will take a look to find the root cause if possible. My tires should normally be within the ~35 range and was told today that I had one that was super low (in the teens!). I have been using the Lube Center in Columbia, Maryland for almost 11 years. The reason why I'm submitting a review is because I was curious to see what others think about the Lube Center and confirm that people usually only use yelp to complain. When I saw the Lube Center reviews I was pleased to see that others think highly of this business like I do. So, let me tell you why I think this business is so successful. They actually have a Quality Control process where their team checks each others work. That's why there are few if any issues in my opinion. Another thing is they do not not accept nothing less than great customer experience and positive attitudes from their technicians. I only remember one time about a year ago that one of their service techs was having a bad day and was arguing with his manager about something that I thought wasn't too extreme or effected me personally . That guy got sent home for they day and I got $140 worth of service for free. I insisted that I didn't have a problem, but they wouldn't take my money. I probably pay a little bit more than Jiffy Lube, but I feel I get great value and quality...they actually have a camera and TV monitor so you can see them working...I like that too. read more

Always fast friendly service that will inform you of what belts and hoses are going to need repair or replacement soon. Today there was someone in line so I was going to leave and get coffee and come back. The assistant manager made me hot chocolate to drink while I waited and brought it to my car in the rain! He did not have to do that. No other lube place will give you the same kind of professionalism and sincerity as this staff. They are extremely efficient. You never leave your car. It was that time again. Time for an oil change. Lately I've been bringing my, and my wife's, cars here. I used to go to Jiffy Lube since it was a little cheaper, but they ALWAYS tried to upsell other services. Then I went to Walmart for a while where they don't seem to ever suggest other services beyond air filters and windshield wipers. The Lube Center seems to strike a good balance. I generally go 8n expecting to be unsold and am pleasantly surprised whenever I'm not. This time I was but I was still happy it was just for an engine flush and some high mileage additive. I even overheard the technician's supervisor telling him "good job", obviously on the upselling, but I'll be driving halfway across the country and back soon and planned on following their recommendations. Since the don't upsell every time and I know you occasionally (and some things after so many miles) need need to do some maintenance/preventative maintenance I'll keep coming back. As a first time customer, I was very pleased with the customer interaction and overall level of service. I worked primarily with Jay, and he was patient in explaining to me the various choices of my oil services as well as keeping me abreast throughout the appointment of what was actually occurring. I also liked the TV display that allows you to view services being done to the undercarriage of your vehicle. There was one area of service that they brought to my attention, but Jay did not attempt to "over sell" to me, which I find can be common practice at other auto-type businesses. I am a firm believer in providing reviews and compliments for great business and customer service. I moved to this area last year and needed a new shop for car maintenance. I thought I'd try this place and took my car in for an oil change. My tire light was on because the passenger front tire leaked slowly at the time (I've had the tires replaced since then). I asked the mechanics to pump up the tire. Since I didn't see them doing it, I asked if they added any air to the tire before I left and they said they did. The tire light blinked but didn't stay on when I started the car so I thought all was taken care of. Well, the light came back on before I even got on the road. I stopped the car and measured the passenger front tire. The recommended tire pressure is 35 psi but my tire was 29! They obviously didn't do the job they said they did. Of course, I've taken my business to somewhere people are more honest than this place. read more

Don't come here. I needed a fast and simple oil change I paid for the best oil possible which was $90 with the service. I asked if there was people in front of me waiting for service because I had work in a few. They said they could do it quickly in time for me to get to work. Instead of getting right to work one of the employees decided that he'd much rather try and hit on me and get my number more than do his actual job. He proceeded to ask me out knowing I was on a time crunch. I watched them "change my oil" and I paid. When I got back into my car the change oil light was still on and blinking. I told them that it didn't even seem like they changed my oil they said that they did and that I just had to reset my car. I drove away because I had work and the next day the light was still blinking I brought it back and they "reset" my car so the light would turn off. I drove away and seconds later the light turned back on I went back for the third time the guy said it had something to do with my car and not being able to reset that I had to just take it to the dealership and have them reset it all while still hitting on me, trying to ask me out, I didn't feel comfortable coming back but I wanted to get my money back and I kept asking to speak to the manager but the same guy would refuse and just continue to hit on me it was annoying and he was old enough to be my father basically. When I finally got to talk to the manager after the fourth time they refused to refund my money as it had to do with "resetting my car" I took the car to my dad who said there was no oil in it and simply did another oil change himself and as soon as he was done the light turned off. Never going there again! $90 down the drain! Ladies, I had other women tell me about similar experiences in this place! Some of these places try to give you services you don't need or make you pay for services they never gave you.
