Krysten is the go to person for color correction AND does phenomenal Keratin treatments that won't break the bank. When I first moved to Burlington eight years ago, I went to one salon for Keratin, another salon for color and another for cuts. That's how picky I am. I did that for about two years until I found Krysten who does everything. She recently opened her own salon, Salon 47. The salon is small but clean clean and beautifully decorated. It is in the Salons by JC building which is in the Nordstrom Rack, Market Basket plaza. First time I went, I was thrown off by the Lexington address. You would think it is in Burlington but it is located right on the line. If you take my advice, plan on leaving the salon looking glamorous. Fabulous blow outs too!

I needed some custom clip-in extensions for my wedding, as my hair has a highly specific thick, coarse, curly texture, and complex mixed-blonde color. I went in for a consultation - and when I say Gia's an extension guru, I mean it. Together, we crafted the perfect mix & match set of extensions, fully curated - including length, density, texture, highlight and lowlight colors / tints - to my exact hair needs. She was even able to fully match the texture to my specific curl pattern! The package was *barely* more expensive than purchasing a NON custom pre-made package from somewhere like Bellami. So worth it. When I received the extensions, I could not BELIEVE the quality. The color, the curl pattern, the texture and density... all perfect. I can wear them as-is to match my natural curls, or wash and blow dry them straight to be styled however I please (which is what I did for my wedding)! I was also on a time crunch - Stitched promises a 2 week turnaround for extensions, and when the process was taking a little longer due to the factory losing power, Gia personally saw to it to expedite as fast as humanly possible, texting me with constant updates and the tracking number once she received it. Since my wedding was out of town, she also offered expertise on my own personal hair coloring appt before the wedding, as well as best practices for extension placement, styling and care. If I were in town, I would've for sure had Gia do the installation of them as well. I felt so held by Gia throughout the entire process, and am SO happy with the final product. She has been cutting, styling and coloring my hair for over 20 years and I've yet to ever be disappointed. She knows exactly what cuts and colors will look good on me, and her suggestions are always the most flattering. When she first starting doing my hair, I was only 13 years old, and it was very convenient that she was located in the same town I lived in. As I got older I moved about 30 minutes away and refused to look for a closer hair stylist. The travel for me was worth it. And her new location, though farther away for me has not deterred my insistence that she be the only one who touches my hair. It is very conveniently located only a few minutes away from her old locale. She has done everything from perms (when they were stylish) to adding gorgeous blonde streaks to my otherwise dark hair to cutting off over 10 inches into a fantastic bob. Every time I leave there, I feel fantastic. She styled my hair for my wedding and I'm still receiving compliments on gorgeous my hair looked on that day. Paula never rushes through a cut or style to get to her next client. She will step back and analyze her work so far and see if there's something she can do to make it even better. As for my appointment yesterday, it was my first trim in about 6 months, just a wash, cut and blow-dry. Nothing fancy, but when I left, I felt amazing. On my way home, I had to do some errands. Well, I received two compliments from an employee and customer at Whole Foods. As well as a "Wow, your hair is so beautiful!" from a random stranger in Target. Being a mom of two little ones, these kinds of compliments don't come often, and I knew it was a direct result of my trip to Paula.
