Well, it's true, this girl is officially a college football fanatic! I've been to quite a few College Football Stadiums, so giving this stadium a review is warranted! Let's start off by saying how fantastic the fans are. Opening game we ventured to the square before going to the grove and we thought we were in a whole movie! I'm a Barbie girl in a Barbie world? Yeah, if you watched the movie Oxford, MS is giving natural beauty in the residents and guest who come here! On to the stadium, let's get into it! Fan Base - These rebels are dynamite! Super nice people and bet ya, they all say "Hotty Totty". Food Choices - Literally have anything you want! For those who are new, bottle sodas are in the lower section area, grab and go! Super convenient! Fountain Sodas? Go to the top! Seats - If you have no tooshie fret NOT. They rent out nice comfortable portable seats to enhance your experience and comfort. View - Clearly the Vaught has great donors so if you leave your eyeglasses at home you're in luck! They have BIG HUGE screens that you can look at! This little town makes their smaller stadium look BIG! Technology is on point! I can't complain! Kudos to this stadium.

If you are going to tailgate, the only place to do it is in the Grove. We tailgated at the basketball arena parking lot and there were zero people there. Everyone was at the Grove. Parking was about as easy as any SEC game I have ever been to. Be sure to get a parking pass (stub hub or other places) to take make it a better experience. Traffic, pre and post game, was about the easiest I have ever experienced. The traffic management worked very well. We got in and out without any problems. The Grove exceeds expectations. Hundreds of tents all packed into a few acres on the grounds of the university. The amount of people is overwhelming. I found it difficult to socialize due to the mass of humanity but it made for a great people watching experience. Vaught-Hemingway stadium was nice. I felt the logistics of the stadium was much better than most. You can walk all the way around on the inside. The vendor food and drinks was respectable. I did love the vendors walking around the stands selling drinks. Very convenient. The stadium atmosphere wasn't bad. I thought they did a good job showing scores of other games. The large video screen was okay. The in stadium wi-fi worked okay. The Ole Miss fans were friendly. You don't have the same jackassery as you do at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge.

My 9 year old daughter has taken ballet at OBS for 4 years and absolutely loves it. She now wants…read moreto be a dancer or an engineer when she grows up! My daughter has become very strong and flexible in large part due to her dancing here. I was initially concerned about putting my child in an environment where there might be too much emphasis on having a certain body type, but I have seen no sign of that at OBS. Girls of all shapes, sizes, and colors are featured equally in all performances, which I think is great. The dancers have the option (but no pressure) to participate in at least two public performances per year - The Nutcracker in December and a spring ballet. In 2012, the spring ballet was performed in conjunction with an acting class because Genevieve wanted her dancers to have more theatrical skills on stage. The resulting Snow White ballet theatre was wonderful. There is also a week-long ballet intensive in summer during which students and professional dancers from elsewhere come to Oxford to teach. Students are exposed to various forms of dance during the intensive, which ends with a small performance. In 2013, rather than an Oxford intensive, a ballet tour and lessons in France are being planned! Genevieve, as well as all of the other teachers my daughter has worked with at OBS, are patient beyond imagination while teaching the girls top-notch dancing skills.

This is a cool little festival in a cool little town. They typically have some good music and…read morethere is always a good time. The focus of the festivities is on the town square and it draws a nice crowd of friendly folks. The big downside to this event is that they have it on a weekend that conflicts with Jazz Fest in New Orleans so it would be great if they moved it to a different weekend so more of us NOLA Ole Miss alums could also enjoy it.
