Been a yelp user for many years but have never felt a need to write a review. Until now. First time customer to this salon after receiving a haircut elsewhere that didnt meet my expectations. I came in for a very specific haircut- the hushcut. Had it done elsewhere 2 weeks prior and apparently the stylist didnt know how to cut it. At all. So displeased that I started researching right away on another stylist that knows this specific haircut and that's how I landed at M Salon. I had Asia Campbell as my stylist and all I can say is that I was veeeeery pleased. She was very attentive and sweet. She spent a long time on this specific cut and listened to what I was looking for. My results came out to what I was expecting and all I can say is the Msalon have gained another happy customer. I love the shape and cut, even after 2 or 3 days of dry shampoo . Lol. I can only speak on my haircut experience here but looking forward to future hair salon services here. read more

New to the area myself but it's nice to know there's a Firehouse Sub and Credit Union in this center. ) Beautiful salon space! I came here with an appt to meet my new nail artist/tech Faith. I came across her TikTok @curedbyfx because of her beautiful and delicate nail art and manicures originally. I can only review on a manicure for my natural nails and it was one of the best nail art experiences I've had in such a long while. If you're like me and working with natural nails, but nervous to venture outside of one's comfort zone of traditional French polish/ light designs, then Faith will give you the confidence to have a little more design fun with natural nails as I'm experiencing. I kept it French tipped with a delicate pearl embellishments per her recommendations, but I'm sure I'll venture to something more colorful next time. I should note I've always been very self conscious about my hands...I imagine them to be on the thicker side and looking like sausage fingers, but since Faith reshaped my nails to an almond shape, it looks so flattering. I am also encountering mobility challenges in my hands, due to arthritis most likely. and enflamed joints, and she handled my hands perfectly despite the challenges I have with bending and closing my hands/fingers. The video tried to hide my hands not having full mobility range to close but I hope it gets the idea conveyed of how much I love my new natural nails. As you can see I can't rave enough about my visit here with Faith. I'm used to an ordinary gel spa manicure , (with the massages the paraffin and hot towel) but I've always had trouble finding someone who could execute my nail inspo pix or designs. I definitely prefer a nail artist over the spa treatments. It seems like I've found my new favorite nail salon with Faith. I can't stop admiring my own hands... even with my enflamed joints and knuckles, Faith has given me a renewed confidence in how my hands look to me. I don't feel as a self conscious about how chunky or thick my fingers have gotten. She is very attentive and so creative with her designs. I entrusted her to shape my nails as well. I've always had very squared nails and in having grown them the last couple months, she gave me an almond shape and it was so much more flattering than the squared nails before. I am obsessed with my new nail shape she gave me and already looking forward to my next visit. Thank you so much, Faith! I'll definitely check out some of the stylists here as well. MINERVA for hair I was extremely worried about finding someone to cut my hair, which is pin straight and fine BUT Minerva did good! She layered my hair and made sure to not overdo with cutting the lengths, plus she was very communicative about the amount of upkeep certain styles would need to look good so I knew what I was getting myself into. She was all really gentle w detangling which is impressive since my hair is LONG. KUMIKO for brow wax and shaping I LOVED her, I typically have hit or misses with my brows since they usually just wax and go-- but she really took the time to map it out and make sure it was even and fit my face shape. She's super sweet and approachable, plus she makes sure you're not on certain medications etc that would make your skin prone to peeling/burning. I thought that was extremely helpful, since I work in healthcare and many people may not know that their medications can cause side effects with waxing. ALSO she makes sure to not make the wax too hot, so no burns and it was painless for the most part as someone with EXTREMELY sensitive skin. SALON IN GENERAL When you walk in the seating area is very very cute and cozy, the front desk (Wendy) was very good at streamlining everything and keeping all the retail up front clean! The bathroom was extremely aesthetic and clean with hand lotion from Aesop. Overall I couldn't recommend this place enough, the girls were extremely sweet and approachable plus they offer EVERYTHING:nails, hair, brows, lashes. I'm definitely recommending and would come back again for touch ups, the only note I would give is that I wish they offered acrylic refills. read more

got recommended this salon from a friend and adored their work online. decided it was time for a fresh cut so i scheduled an appointment through yelp and they reached back out to me in no time! got an appointment for my availability and saw minerva. the salon is very clean and well decorated inside, its located in a big plaza so there were plenty of parking spaces. minerva was super friendly and did an amazing job with my cut and styling! i explained i wanted long layers with curtain bangs and a u-shape cut at the bottom and showed some inspo pictures of what i wanted. she listened, asked questions, and gave me some of her suggestions as well. she really brought my vision to life! i really like the length of my hair so im happy she kept most of it the same, but added these long layers that gave my hair more dimension and movement. will definitely be back! read more

I am so overdue in writing this review, but Annie and the team at this salon completely deserve it! I've seen Annie three times now, and she amazes me every single time with her incredible skills. She doesn't just give you a standard haircut, she takes the time to actually look at your face shape and ask about your daily routine (like whether you actually style your hair or not) to tailor the cut specifically to you. Found Tim through instagram just when my roots started looking CRAZY. He took me a few shades lighter for the summer and I'm obsessed! The salon has a very cute vibe. Almost like a shared work space for different artists! The chairs are very comfy causing me to fall asleep almost instantly and the space is very well ventilated. It was a spontaneous decision but I decided to give them a morning call to see if there was any availability and Minerva was available to take me in later that day. I was nervous about getting my haircut due to past experiences at other salons that left me feeling both unheard and unsatisfied with my results but I decided to give this salon a chance especially because of the great pictures and reviews. My stylist Minerva had such a welcoming energy and she attentively listened to all my wants & concerns for my haircut while still being transparent about what can or can't work which I very much appreciated. Throughout the service she was answering any questions I had, letting me know what she was working on, and recommending products/techniques that would work with my hair type. After my hair was cut and styled I was so happy with the results. Go here. This is the salon I'll be going to whenever I need a trim or a new haircut. The prices for a haircut is good nothing insanely crazy and the place looks very clean and gives off a luxury vibe. I'm usually not satisfied with my hair at salons but Amber nailed it! I have long hair and it looked ugly because my head was so flat. It would get in the way but I love the length still. So I wanted something that still kept my length, but some change that would make it similar to my hair but better. I booked with Amber and she helped me choose the haircut that would suit my thin hair, but also tailoring it towards my preferences. I didn't want too much of a change, but my hair just felt ugly. I noticed my hair feels better when it's short, but I liked my hair long so I just got long layers with face framing and tbh I've never had an experience at a salon where I felt so happy about my hair. I was scared the layers would look weird because of my hair type, and especially because I don't like applying heat to my hair I thought it would only look good styled, but omg the layers blend so seamlessly with the rest of my hair and the face framing was actually a NEED for me lol. I went to M Salon yesterday because my hair really needed a cut and color. The ends were pretty dead and my roots were showing, so I decided to give this place a try after seeing it on TikTok. It also happened to be close to my cousin's house in Long Beach, which made it convenient. I had two appointments: an eyebrow/lip wax at 11:45am with Erica Panitan, and a single process all-over color with Maddie Matthews. Erica: She was sooo friendly and made me feel like I was chatting with someone I'd known for a long time. She didn't need to do too much to my brows, just some tweezing and a lip wax. Since I had extra time before my hair appointment, she even suggested some nearby coffee shops, which was really thoughtful. Overall, she made the experience super comfortable and I'd definitely come back to her again. Maddie: Maddie was also super friendly and easy to talk to. She listened carefully to what I wanted, gave suggestions, and I ended up loving the cut and color. At one point during the blow dry, she even caught a spot she had missed and fixed it right away, which I appreciated. My hair feels so much healthier now and the color turned out great. The only downside: When I got home and looked more closely in the mirror, I realized that dye had been left all around the edges of my face. I know the stains will eventually fade, but it's an inconvenience--especially if I have plans and don't want to go out with dye marks on my skin. If I had noticed it before leaving, I honestly wouldn't have tipped as much. Overall: The salon itself is super cute, and I like that they offer nails, brows, and hair all in one place--it's convenient if you want to get everything done in one trip. The salon is clean, beautifully organized, and clearly well-managed. I booked a haircut and style with Annie N., and she was absolutely amazing. Friendly, knowledgeable, and so easy to chat with--even though I didn't know much about my own hair, Annie guided me through everything with patience and expertise. I got my nails done here for the first time and I won't complain about the designs nor the colors used as I did say I wanted her to free-style but it was just not what asked.. I showed her the color palette I wanted and the type of art inspo to go by but most of the nails looked unfinished/rushed. My nails also had a gap where my cuticles are at the end of the service too and I'm pretty sure they were supposed to be filled completely... furthermore I got a full chrome-cover with 2 charms on one nail but the next day it started to chip off and the day after a charm already fell. I admit I could've spoken up after they were done which is why it took me a few days write this review but I do admit I feel the quality wasn't the best. I came to M Salon on my birthday, excited to finally treat myself since I rarely get my hair done. Unfortunately, my experience with the stylist MINERVA was extremely disappointing. I do want to acknowledge that I arrived about 15 minutes late, which I understand is not ideal. However, I communicated my ETA via text ahead of time, and the front desk staff greeted me very kindly and professionally when I arrived. Within the first five minutes of meeting Minerva, I began explaining my hair type, what I was hoping to do, and asked for advice or suggestions, as most new clients do. She appeared visibly irritated, barely engaged, and did not take the time to understand what I wanted. I was met with a blank stare, and she abruptly told me we needed to hurry because she had another appointment, completely disregarding everything I had just explained. The interaction immediately made me uncomfortable. While I accept responsibility for being late, if that was an issue she could have simply asked me to reschedule. Instead, I was rushed, dismissed, and treated rudely during what was supposed to be a special, celebratory appointment. I prayed about it and told myself that this was a good choice. When I went in Cassandra was so sweet and kind. Washed my hair, was so goofy and super cool. She framed my face so perfectly.
