Indulged in a brownie sundae here a few days ago. It was a nice treat and although the brownie wasn't the best the ice cream itself is phenomenal. Light on the tummy & tastes entirely homemade and high quality. The owners are retiring and have an advertisement on the window selling this long running small ice cream shop. I hope whomever does acquire it, keeps the quality of the ice cream up to its current standard as well as preserves the quirky and quaint aesthetics inside. This was one of our favorite ice cream places. The owner was very nice and informative, telling us all about the process he uses to hand-make the ice cream. The ice cream bursts with flavor and he has a variety of interesting flavors. Then there a ton of toppings to choose from as well as several speciality cups. My son got the Better Batter Cake Carnival, and I got a cup of vanilla with kitkat and sprinkles. He mashed up the kitkat in the ice cream and then topped it with my sprinkers. Small ice cream shop located in a strip mall - this is one of their two locations (other is in Davie). Comparing this location to Davie, it is definitely not as busy but it is just as good. I think the young lady we ordered from was still training so we didn't get our moo when we tipped . Kids shared one of the peanut butter flavored special combinations (crunch bars, buttercups) but they had just sold out of the buttercups on the prior order so we were able to sub butterfingers instead. Kids were happy with their ice cream - I snagged a spoon and loved the texture but found it way too sweet. My father ordered a small coconut ice cream which he loved. The setting is cozy and it's fun to read the notes from customers on the wall (this location doesn't have nearly as many as the Davie location - it really is a spectacle to see). The owner clearly supports other small businesses as he allows other companies to leave their business cards on their counter. It had a bad after taste just trying the first spoonful. I had to throw it out. Kids were not to happy either with the taste. It is also dated and not clean. They have numerous amount of flavors and diabetic/lactose friendly options. I tend to go for the uncommon ones but don't be shy to try samples! This time around I had the Amaretto flavor, mMm. Wow! This was a great find! We go for a scoop from somewhere after sports game days, and this kiddo of mine deserved it!
