We spent our anniversary in Jensen Beach area, so decided to take the family to a nice seafood restaurant. Wife got a sesame crusted sear tuna, I got a flounder dish, and the two boys got kid's meals. Food was good. Not great. My flounder was a hit for the boys. It was a mild flavor, but I would have liked a little more zing to it (maybe a little spice). My wife remarked that the sesame was a little overbearing, but the quality of the tuna was evident. We did have oysters as an appetizer. 6 oysters for about $12 didn't seem too bad. They were nice but nothing out of this world. Our server was incredibly nice. I'm writing this in hopes that the management will see and read it and correct some things. This used to be one of our favorites in the area, but the last few visits have not been anywhere up to the previous times. My wife and I both ordered the bisque, which apparently had been cooking for days, you could stand a spoon up in it, and it was salty beyond belief......didn't even taste like a bisque. My friend ordered the fish reuben, he reports that it was mostly soggy cole slaw with a very thin piece of fish, and was not happy with it. I had was supposed to be a crunchy fish sandwich, again like my friend's sandwich, it was just barely crunchy, mostly soggy, and pretty much tasteless. The only disappointment was the crab bombs for $16. Four tiny crab balls that are mostly filler with no jumbo lump blue crab as advertised. If you want to feel unwelcomed by the elderly manager this is the place for you! If I was the owner of this establishment I would find someone else to supervise and fire her A.S.A.P. I walked in with a shirt she clearly didn't agree with and was shaking her head to the point I thought they were closing early and we weren't going to be seated, it was about 5:30. We sat at the bar- 30 min wait but found 2 seats open so we snagged them. Definitely a local feel especially around happy hour. Our extended wait at a nearby favorite restaurant led us to seek an alternative which led us here, and we were pleasantly surprised! We called ahead about 15 minutes before arriving, and the 4 of us waited about 10 minute before being seated on a busy Saturday evening. The staff were friendly, and taking precautions to clean, sanitize, and wear masks due to COVID. Our server Devin was awesome!! She was friendly, helpful, and attentive. This was probably out favorite meal while staying in Hutchison Island - and that is saying something considering the amazing restaurants we visited. This is a place that we would have definitely skipped over if it wasn't for Yelp. The location is in a strip mall and the restaurant certainly does not look very fancy from the outside. The interior is pretty modest as well but oh boy does the food make up for it. We were also very happy to see the restaurant was observing COVID-19 protocol with ample distance between tables and all staff wearing masks. This was not the case for all restaurants in the area since it was not mandatory in Martin County. First off we had the Oysters Romanoff which is a house special. Right off the bat this dish was spectacular. The fresh briny oysters went perfectly with the creamy sauce and salty jolt of the caviar. Really an awesome dish. We also had the smoked wahoo dip which was pretty good but paled in comparison to the oysters. Next came the mains my wife had the horseradish crusted grouper - OMFG. the outside crust was nice and crispy while the grouper was tender and flaky. The stuffed shrimp were also excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed the mixed seafood stuffing. The kids also enjoyed their entrees especially the blue crab mac & cheese. They were talking about the mac during our drive home the next day. Overall we had an amazing experience here. Service was on point with Mama running the show. The food was absolutely incredible and the best part was it was reasonably priced. Looks like we'll have to visit this place every time we are in the area. read more

My family of party of twelve came here for the happy hour. We had a 10 minute wait for a table though there was a spot at the bar to have a drink. We put several raw food orders in and they were as good as expected. The rest of the food, including the bang bang shrimp was fabulous. Excellent overall! Three in our party- we ordered crab cakes, grouper and shrimp for appetizers. For the grouper and shrimp, both breaded, the breading was crisp and tasty. The sauces were excellent, not overpowering and complimented rather than detracted from the base offering. For the main dish, the bourbon salmon was served beyond just warm but not overdone. The bourbon glacé was the consistency of chocolate syrup, thick enough to stay on the fish without running off but not gluey or gummy. It was excellent. The fried shrimp batter was just peppery enough to add depth to what is often a relatively bland dish and the shrimp was cooked, but not overcooked so it was tender and moist. Finally, we had Parmesan crusted cod, pan seared. The fish was lightly breaded such that the Parmesan came through and the coating was crisp but not burnt. As with the other dishes, the fish was flavorful, moist and not overdone. Our server was attentive without being overbearing and kept the meal moving but not rushed. We never felt ignored or hurried. Perfect pace to enjoy a meal. We travelled about an hour to go to the Magic Oyster and I'd do it again. read more

I think the best part about it was the atmosphere. I would continue on to another place. I think you'll be more happy. The meals were both served hot and timely. I cannot praise our server Heather, enough. When she noticed that I was lightly brushing a pad of butter over my beans and steak she asked if I would like clarified nutter instead. She was most attentive to filling my bottomless soda. One concern- their website is useless. It stated that happy hour was to 7 pm. We arrived at 630 and were told that the company who now own it had reduced the time to 530 and had not updated anything on their website. Shame! Today most of us who are here for a couple of months use the internet to provide accurate information in deciding our choice of restaurants. No reservations is also a concern. I visited for the first time yesterday to have an early dinner at the bar. I was served by Nick and Melanie, and they're professionalism, customer service skills, and food & beverage knowledge is top notch! Definitely a great spot for both locals and tourists as this establishment offers a lovely menu selection with lots of fresh and delicious items, specialty cocktails, a nice wine list, and a wonderful happy hour. On Tuesday they offer Amsterdam martinis for only $5.50 and make it to your liking (dirty, cosmo, lemon drop, dry, etc) so of course I indulged and had a couple of very cold slightly dirty martinis w bleu cheese stuffed olives! Another wonderful offering is their happy hour raw bar; oysters or clams...chef's selection...they had these absolutely delicious oysters running...fresh and tasty, perfectly shucked and presented with horseradish cocktail sauce and a vignette (very lovely flavor). For my main dish I ordered the horseradish crusted grouper w crispy leeks and steamed string greens (vegetable of the day) over garlic mashed potatoes w a Myer's vanilla rum butter...OMG! The fish was beautifully prepared with a perfect crispy panko horseradish crust (and a very nice sized piece too). The seasonings were spot on so you could taste each flavor component on the dish...hints of vanilla, citrus, garlic, and flavors from the crust made the fish stand out...the mashed potatoes were creamy and smooth, soaked up the butter sauce, and nestled the grouper so each bite had the right amount of fish & potato. Very simple steamed green beans for the vegetable was a nice touch. They are not heavy handed with salt and pepper here, which is nice because when you have such beautiful ingredients you don't need very much...they let the natural flavors shine through, and you can add salt & pepper yourself...I prefer this because so many times places over season and it ruins the entire dish. If you're looking for very fresh seafood with a wonderful service staff the Magic Oyster should be at the top of your list! I am looking forward to going back next time with my fiancé! read more

Stayed at the Courtyard across the street, but this was not where we planned on having dinner. From the moment the server helped me wheel my 93 yr old grandmother in the door, till we boxed up our leftovers to-go, we had nothing but a pleasant experience. It's rare to find great service or food since the pandemic, but here we had both. Our waitress Christina was on point. There was no wait, and both inside and outside dining had such great atmosphere. My coworker and I came here for dinner on our first night of a work trip. We split the chef's selection oysters on the half shell and some peel and eat shrimp. The peel and eats were my favorite thing of the evening - they had good seasoning but could have used a bit more pepper in the seasoning for my taste. The oysters were more fishy than I was used to (not as if they had gone bad) - I had been out to an oyster bar in Charleston the week before and those were briny but not fishy. I'd probably pass on those or get ones that I chose specifically off the oyster menu. My coworker had a special which he said was alright.
